  1. ...maybe Talia or one of her goons hurt Felicity...
  2. Between knowing that Diggle and Lyla will have marital issues and Felicity possibly having her chip malfunction, I've been thinking a lot about how it might go. I don't think this is how it would go because I can totally understand everyone's POV in this scenario, and I don't think we'd get that from the Arrow writers: Part way through the Helix mission, Felicity realizes what Helix is really trying to do and she wants to take them down. She goes to Lyla to ask for help. Lyla agrees to give her an EMP big enough to take out Helix, but the plan requires Felicity to bring the EMP into the Helix base to activate it because Helix is a shielded bunker deep underground - it would take Helix servers down and Felicity's chip. When Diggle finds out about the plan, he gets mad at Lyla for going along with Felicity's plan, knowing that Felicity will basically be sacrificing herself for a mission that has no good exit strategy. I think this would be true to each character and we would still see conflict - Felicity being bad ass, Lyla supporting Felicity and being super mission-focused, and Diggle/Oliver caring about Felicity. In this way, it makes sense that the Helix plot is part of Felicity's legacy - taking down bad hacktivists and being a superhero once again.
  3. I think the video that Oliver made for William, explaining that his life as the Green Arrow makes it dangerous to be around him, could give Oliver trouble if it ever gets out. Hopefully, that gets destroyed at some point. I don't have confidence that Samantha would do what's smart - if they ever wanted to create more drama. I wish that they would never revisit the whole BMD. It was awful...just keep it out of Arrow.
  4. Even though Oliver has father rights, at this point, I don't think Oliver could take her to court to gain visitation rights because William's been kidnapped twice because of him and Samantha could now out Oliver as the Green Arrow to show that it is too dangerous for him to be around William.
  5. I was thinking more like after this event...Do you think Samantha would be ok with Oliver visiting William again (if he wants to re-establish his relationship with William), given the people he is surrounded by?
  6. Can you imagine how crazy Samantha would think Oliver is (if she's on the island kidnapped with William and everyone else)...given the people he teams up with...Nyssa (Oliver's ninja assassin "wife"), Slade (the man who killed Oliver's mother), Captain Boomerang (a guy who kills people with boomerangs), Malcolm (the one who took down half the Glades), and enemies like Talia (Oliver's crazy "sister-in-law" that wants Oliver to suffer), Chase (the throwing star killer), and Black Siren (crazy lady that looks remarkably like her old friend that can scream). I wonder if Black Siren will walk in that weird drunken way with those crazy heels on the island, given the rough terrain.
  7. I'm confused about what we are supposed to take from Oliver's actions... - He teamed up with Bratva to take down Chase, but then TA stopped him. - He is against Felicity teaming up with Helix to get info to take down Chase. - He will most likely team up with old villains to take down Chase. So, where is the line drawn? Is the understanding in part about Felicity understanding why Oliver has chosen to do things the way he does (like teaming up with Malcolm), but she is not allowed to do that herself? I think SA mentioned that Oliver will establish a stronger moral code. What would that be?
  8. Slade's other son is Grant. Didn't see his name mentioned in the book.
  9. Quick skim of the book -> Slade wasn't living happily with his family in Australia. He was obsessed with Oliver and used ASIS resources to keep tabs on Queen & Lance families. He discovered Oliver was working in Hong Kong for ARGUS and tracked him since then. Between researching Oliver's enemies, training with Harkness, and spending time with his son, he continued to hallucinate Shado telling him to get revenge. He even told his wife that she didn't love him like Shado did. His family got killed in the crossfire of ASIS trying to arrest him for the death of Billy Wintergreen. He blamed Oliver for his family getting killed and stalked Oliver since he came back from the island. He approached Isabel to team up for revenge against the Queen family. She backed him financially and he trained Isabel to be a fighter because he knew Oliver was the vigilante from the beginning - he told Isabel that Oliver was righting his father's wrongs as the vigilante (I guess Oliver must have told him about Robert's book or he recognized Shado's hood or the vigilante's fighting style).
  10. The book Arrow:Vengeance centers around Slade and the time between the island to when he appeared in Star City. I haven't read it yet, but from what I've heard, he went back to his family - his wife and son Joe ended up getting killed. Then, Isabel teamed up with him and provided funds for his operations.
  11. If BS and Artemis teamed up with Talia and her school of ninja minions, I'd think that would be enough to overpower and kidnap Team Arrow and bring them to Lian Yu.
  12. ...maybe Helix is trying to steal something that belongs to ARGUS (Felicity's illegal mission)...those guards that were taken down looked like they could have been ARGUS agents...
  13. ...say if Pike is Vigilante (don't know if we vetoed that theory yet), then he could wake up from his coma in the hospital and we get a Vigilante teaser setup for next season...
  14. I could have seen the scenario that Havenrock created new metas that could have come to Central City - that's one way to have Arrow affect Flash.
  15. I saw spec that the cliffhanger could be the boat that takes the team back home blows up so you don't know if everyone survived the explosion.
  16. I think the malfunctioning chip would be a very good storyline for Felicity, but I'd rather it be a different episode instead of an episode that's dealing with their relationship issues that are independent of her paralysis. There is so much meat there and I think it has so much potential for Felicity's growth, but I'm afraid that it could be overshadowed/lost in the olicity relationship stuff being hashed out in the mix. Would they do it justice, given everything else that needs to be talked about? It just depends on the execution...
  17. I figured Oliver's family was Diggle, Felicity, Thea, and Lance. Is Oliver finally going to realize that family is not just blood, but chosen family this season?
  18. I think it all depends on how it is written, but having paralysis in part as a vehicle for them to talk or not almost feels like it has the potential of trivializing paralysis. If something does happen to Felicity's chip, I hope that it is handled well with a lot of sensitivity.
  19. While I would like to see a storyline that involves Felicity's chip malfunctioning and her overcoming that difficulty at some point, I don't think it would be a good storyline right now. Given MG had to have Felicity physically walk out for the break up, it seems somehow wrong (don't know the right word for it) for olicity to work towards getting back together right when she is temporarily paralyzed.
  20. Just saw that Nyssa hasn't released Oliver from their marriage yet...please don't revisit this topic...let's keep it dead and buried like the league.
  21. If Oliver goes to find the kid after Chase mentions him, it feels like he's playing into Chase's hands. If Chase hasn't been able to find him up until this point, it could be Felicity has been erasing William's trail, then he could be waiting for Oliver to lead him to him.
  22. Do you think William will play into Chase's plan since he's also been mentioned a few times? Hazy memory...but didn't SA hint that William will find out Oliver is GA soon? If so, then maybe Felicity and William both get kidnapped and William finds out he is GA when he rescues them...
  23. I'd be really curious how Prometheus's mind games would play off of a Felicity that's on the war path.
  24. Whether I like it or not, I think BS would always be "significant" with respect to Oliver, whether she's in the season much or not, simply because she looks like Laurel - that in itself carries more weight with him than other villains. At least going by what happened in 5.10, he has trouble separating her from real Laurel in his mind.
