  1. Honestly, it did seem like that, given that Diggle is officiating - it feels like it was olicity's idea to "get married now" and westallen just happened to be there to tag along.
  2. I think 7-10 years after undergrad. From the Arrowverse wiki http://arrow.wikia.com/wiki/Caitlin_Snow she's a bioengineer. Bioengineers don't necesarily build equipment. Bioengineering can include engineering viruses, genetically modified cells, and vaccines on a molecular level. I'd say from what she's done in Flash, she's more of a biomedical engineer rather than just doctor because she performs medical scientist duties such as medical support as well developing cures in the lab which could include being an MD as well as a doctorate in bioengineering methods.
  3. For biomedical engineers, you get an MD-PhD - it generally takes about 7-10years for the dual doctoral degree to basically be a medical scientist.
  4. I think in the Injustice comics, Black Canary was married to Green Arrow and had a kid named Connor. Oliver dies at some point. Then, Black Canary and her son gets transported to an alternate earth where she eventually marries alternate earth Oliver and raises Connor together.
  5. At SDCC, I saw a lot of advertising Supergirl alongside Flash for merchandising for kids like book series and toys. It's possible that the merchandising with Supergirl does better than Arrow.
  6. Hey, here's something fun...did you guys see this quiz?: http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/dc-superhero-you-take-personality-11204989 Which superhero did you get?
  7. I think Caitlin is a biomedical engineer. I think she was a doctor in the Flashpoint timeline.
  8. I think Iris would be able to help Cisco and Caitlin draft the proposals and reports - basically they tell her what their main points are, she asks them questions from different angles (particularly expenses and reasons for these expenses and the why's to translate it into layman's terms), they provide her with the answers, and she puts it together. It can be hard to find someone that truly understands your research, so it's possible that Iris could pick up the technical jargon along the way. It can sometimes be easier for scientists to work with someone who doesn't know the science very well to write a report because the person can ask them questions about something that they never thought of (the holes in their explanations). Cisco and Caitlin could probably juggle multiple research contracts at a time by outsourcing some of busy work to outside grad students from universities for collaboration.
  9. For some reason, I always imagined the ending of Arrow would be something like Angel...OTA leading the charge and having the team run into battle outnumbered...leaving the audience to guess that they probably all died protecting their city.
  10. I don't think that Oliver and any version of Laurel would end up together because the issue was chemistry between the two actors not back story. I don't think their chemistry changes no matter what version we see.
  11. My guess is that STAR Labs would be funded by government contracts and patents. Cisco seems to work on a lot of breakthrough weaponry so he probably gets government defense contracts and Caitlin could be funded by government bioengineering contracts for research in vaccines. The contracts I've seen are for terms of several years, covering annual salaries and needed equipment for research and development. A lot of large labs in real life are funded by government contracts, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case for them. If Iris is head of the lab, then it could include trying to find more sources for grants and contracts for the lab members. A lot of scientists have difficulty writing or hate doing write-ups to report progress on their work to grant sources - Iris, as a reporter is most likely good at writing, so if she can apply her skills towards technical writing, she would be able to help them draft the grant proposals and follow-up reports to ensure they meet grant deadlines.
  12. We have poisonous fat toads in Arizona that like to camp out on my front porch. Those kinds of toads are notorious for killing dogs around here.
  13. I heard that there's fire tornadoes in Australia - do you know if that's common?
  14. I totally agree. I was thinking that it would have been great if Iris was a psychologist for the team to also help with the team members' PTSD (similar to what they did in Blindspot). It would have been a good way to get a closer look at how everyone is coping with being a superhero, saving the world, and how hard it can be mentally - her sessions with team members would be able to shine light on what PTSD is really like and different ways that superheroes go about coping with it. Heck, she could have had sessions with Team Arrow, too...(mini crossovers)
  15. ...made me think of evil alien reptiles like in The V...
  16. I think Barry dies in Crisis on Infinite Earths. If this is what the producers have referred to as the emotional component of the crossover, then I can tell you now that I don't care about Barry's death.
  17. The mask/helmet from the spoiler page looks sorta like Persuader's helmet - Persuader is a villain who used an ax that could cut pathways between universes and gathered multiple versions of villains from different universes to create a supervillain army.
  18. From what I've heard from people at comic con is that you don't make much from the comic book sales itself - it's the merchandising deals (especially video games, movies,...) that brings in the big revenue.
  19. I've been wearing the same frames since I was sixteen...so, over twenty years now...just kinda attached to this one.
  20. Yeah, genetic combinations can be surprising. I know someone who is half-Caucasian half-Asian with red-hair and many shades paler than his Caucasian father. You would never guess he was half-Asian by his looks...so you never know.
  21. Smoak Technologies isn't a registered trademark. Companies can use the same name if use in very specific product/services don't overlap - to avoid brand confusion. If the trademark had been registered, then the real company would have registered the term for use in physical tech goods (specifically PC computers), whereas if DC chose to register, they would have filed under use in entertainment, comics, and mugs/clothing/toys (for merchandising). Since it boils down to Smoak Tech being a fictional entity (with most likely medical devices) in a comic book show, there's no overlap in use/product offering - so I don't think that would be an issue. If DC wanted to be super-safe, they could easily use a variation such as Smoak Inc or Smoak Corp.
  22. I imagine that it could be really frustrating for someone who is as active as Stephen to be told to take it easy. I don't know how severe his injury is, but when I had mine, I found it extremely frustrating because I lost control of my hands and I couldn't even open the door by myself.
  23. Yeah, when I had a pinched nerve in my back, I was prescribed bedrest, muscle relaxants, and pain killers for inflammation for a few weeks and then physical therapy to get my range of movement back. Strenuous activity or heavy weight workouts could worsen the condition if not given enough time to heal.
  24. For me, fighters don't need to be super-muscular to be convincing - instead, I think coordination and speed is important. From my experience, as long as you know how to hit and where to hit and with good speed, you can take down an opponent twice your size.
