    All Episodes Talk

Lily Adler, if I remember correctly, at the end of that episode, Frasier ended up dating her without Niles' help. I don't think she was ever on the show after that ep, though. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. That reminds me of another time when he's talking about Mildred: "She couldn't be more tickled if she swallowed a feather-duster."
  3. Was it just a guess, rereader2? Because I thought that was really tough to come up with in 30 seconds.
  4. Starting a Sam thread because today Ken Levine devoted his blog to Mayday. http://kenlevine.blogspot.com/2014/05/may-day-malone.html (Feel free to change the thread's title if there's something better!)
  5. I like when Cliff comes into the bar with a potato that he thinks looks like Richard Nixon. Doesn't Carla say something like, "Big deal, find me a potato that doesn't look like Nixon!"
  6. Athena, I love that quote and I wish my brain were still youthful enough that I could memorize it, because it would come in handy in so many situations! The other quote I wish I always had at the ready is the one Niles that says to the pushy woman who butts in front of him, something about living in a "cozy cocoon of narcissism" and not noticing other people. OK, I had to cheat and look it up... Niles: I suppose people like you who glide through life wrapped in a cozy little cocoon of narcissism never notice such things. But you'd do well to learn this lesson, sister! There's still such a thing as good manners in this world. …Unfortunately he goes off the rails at that point because she's so beautiful, LOL. Oh Niles.
  7. Hilarious story! Thanks for sharing. You would think the Army would have more important things to worry about...
  8. I'm with ya, Crs97. I'll sing his praises forever because he was such a huge influence on me when I was young and so impressionable. He didn't have as much control over the show as a lot of people seem to think, and even when he did pen an episode that was a little too preachy or melodramatic, I still appreciate the fact that he was willing to try and fail. I don't love all of his eps, but some of my favorite ones are his ("Dear Sigmund" and "Comrades in Arms" leap to mind).
  9. "Red Wigglers, the Cadillac of worms… we're hooked… the Cadillac of worms… we're hooked." Now it's gonna be in my head all night.
  10. "I do one thing at a time, I do it very well, and then I move on."
  11. It might lose something on paper (or on screen, I should say) because a lot of this is the way Kelsey delivers it: Frasier: Oh, so now you're saying that I'm redundant, that I repeat myself, that I say things over and over!
  12. Love all of the above quotes. There are so many lines from this series that I adore, from Frank's very simple "Nerts!" to Hawkeye's lengthy and lyrical rant on why he will not carry a gun. Don't even get me started. But I will say that the episode that I first really paid attention to, way back when I was 12 or something, has one of the best scripts ever, "For Want of a Boot." Margaret: "Henry Blake is a sham commander, a farcical administrator, and a spineless, irresponsible, lecherous old beanbag." Hawkeye: "Margaret, we're not going to get anywhere if you keep holding back." Trapper: "Klinger's not a pervert!" Margaret: "How do you know?" Trapper: "Because I'm one and he's never at the meetings." ...Just to quote a few off the top of my head.
