  1. Unless the mic pack still had it's price tag, I doubt it. I don't know about the other times, but I specifically saw a bar code on the tag in Lacy's dress.
  2. I ran hot and cold on Amber for awhile until I was decidedly cold.
  3. That Bob Barker thing was embarassing. Like...SO embarassing. For everyone involved. Paparazzi? When did they start caring about the Forresters? Does Jacob Young even get followed by the paparazzi? This story with Maya would have made so much more sense A YEAR AGO when she and Rick were still together/had just broken up. And when she wasn't a gold digger. The color (and cut) of the dress was very flattering on Karla Mosley. Why was Carter wearing a suit with a sweater vest in the summer in LA?
  4. So basically, I've been waiting for this Unsung (this and Chuckii Booker) since I heard about the series. I still remember sneaking around my sleeping parents on Friday nights to watch Video Soul's Top 20 Countdown, hoping I could catch the video for "Spread My Wings." Flex was right: it still invokes chills just thinking about it. And Chuckii Booker was that man. I know of two Chuckii Booker songs ("Turned Away" and "Games") and I know of a few he produced (the Troop ones from Attitude and Angela Winbush's "Treat U Rite"), but if I hear a song that I've never heard before, I can tell right away if it's a Chuckii Booker production. Case in point: "My Heart." I heard that for the first time at some point last year and immediately said, "That's Chuckii Booker." I just really like that Steve Russell has had continued success as a songwriter. And a good one! I think "Gots Ta Be" is my favorite B2K song so I was pleasantly surprised to see that he wrote it. Plus, "No Air"? That was the jam. I would pay $15 to see Troop perform now.
  5. You know, I didn't mind the new guy they had singing Tony's part in the "new Hi-Five." Mostly because I know there's no way Tony's voice would sound the same today singing that song. I'd go see 'em. For free.
  6. Yeah, the difference between asking people to do background vocals on your own song (which isn't what she did; we saw that she asked them to do more than that) and being relegated to background vocals on a group song where everyone else has a featured part is obvious. And how is she supposed to be a part of the performance of this song at Carnival singing backgrounds only? She didn't make a big deal, she didn't keep harping on it, she just made her position known, Warryn considered it, adjusted it and everything kept moving. Michel'le's voice has sounded off to my ears from the beginning (of this season; I don't think they did much singing last season for me to compare). It's not something I'd seek out to hear. She also has some janky (to use her word) management -- first MLK day concert and now this? That promoter knew he was a sketch ball for putting people's images on the flyer that were not performing. Why not just put Beyonce on there too, while he was at it? Since those pictures didn't actually imply anything because he put that Michel'le was the only one singing. In 8 point size. At the bottom.
  7. I'm glad Liam is moving on immediately. It will make Hope lose her mind.
  8. I liked the original Tucker because he was Mr. Matthews on Boy Meets World.
  9. When Christy was talking to ugly Jason Bateman on the beach, the wind was blowng and CLEARLY exposed her tracks. They looked like they were attched by white clips.
  10. Of course it's destiny! He pulled a "I wish I may, I wish I might" on the Effiel Tower!
  11. Wyatt was laying some (partial) truth bombs on Liam today. For the past 3 (of the 4-ish) years we've known him, we have seen Liam let a lot of stuff happen to him. But I do know that if I was Liam, I wouldn't let my weasel brother give me some Miss Sophia "all my life" speech when he's only known Liam 1 year of his life and spent most of that time being completely antogonistic toward him. And dumb, dumb Hope. "I can't believe he was there!" "I'm married!" Yup, well...
  12. He explained why he didn't do that - he wanted to surprise her. I got that part. Hindsight is clearly 20/20, but I've been in a situation (when I was younger, probably their ages) where I wasn't sure that a surprise was going to work out exactly the way I planned it and I could have ruined the surprise just to make sure that there was no confusion, but I didn't want to risk it. My whole "future" wasn't on the line, though, so maybe I would have done something different in that situation. I also understand the hesitation in not going after Ivy right away. Clearly, he wanted to go to Hope, and Ivy was saying that she was okay, but she also wasn't swimming toward the shore. He probably wanted to make sure that she was actually moving before he started his mad dash again. I don't think jumping in right after she fell in would have helped his cause anyway 'cause Hope peaced out real quick. I just don't get why he jumped off the bridge instead of getting a tree branch or something from the shore. I think they're both dumb for not realizing that there's a time for grand sweeping romantic guestures and there's a time for practicality.
  13. I LOVE Andrew Ripp. His voice is sick and I was beyond shocked (and really happy) when he popped up on the show.
  14. Agree to disagree. I still don't think it was a long enough time to assume that your woman would run off with someone else. Like I said, if you saw someone struggling in the water, I don't think someone would go, "Ooh, please don't drown while I text my fiancé so she doesn't run off with my brother." Instead of Hope's dumb speech today about "Why didn't you come to MEEEEE" that would have been a prime opportunity for the writers to have Hope make a mature declaration about why she decided to end their relationship. With real reasons and real nods to their history. Instead you have, "When you weren't there at exactly 3 o'clock, I knew you wanted to end the relationship, even though there were about 8 different, more reasonable assumptions I could have made on the way to that asinine conclusion. And since Wyatt was already there..."
  15. Out of all of Liam's faults, I don't think that "saving" someone from "drowning" without thinking to send a quick "I'm gonna be 5-7 minutes late" text is one of them.
  16. Everybody's pathetic! Ivy...I give her a pass because she's new. Hope? Waited 5-7 minutes and applied zero critical thinking to the situation before deciding that a messed up wedding attempt between her and Liam meant something completely different than what it's meant the other 6 times. Wyatt? Skulking around the merry-go-round, wishing upon a star that his brother won't show up to marry his fiance so that he can prey on her vulnerabilities. Liam? After being presented with "you weren't there and he was" as a legit reason for starting the day planning to marry one guy and ending up marrying another still wants to be with Hope. He's been there - he knows it's garbage. Aly? Please go back to your hot boyfriend and convince him to grow his scruff back.
  17. I read that SC's song (????) was the one playing while Liam ran through Paris looking for Hope. Did anyone here pick up on that?
  18. I don't watch many soaps, but I don't mind the casting of the ones that I do watch. Scott C and Darrin B are real men, and accordingly, they have a real man's body. Same as JY, LSV, ZC and whoever else comes and goes from the show. The only guy I really find attractive on this show is ZC.
  19. I don't know how I feel about Tye Tribbett (though his Stand Out album and specifically the song "Bless The Lord" is my jam), but his association with Lil' Mo makes me side eye him even more. Chante is definitely a girly-girl and a flirt. I found her little squeals during the salsa lesson cute, but I could also see myself rolling my eyes at her if I had to deal with that in person.
  20. I thought they got rid of Vail Bloom way before Eden Riegel. That makes me even madder that they got rid of Vail for Eden.
  21. Minkus definitely had a thing for Topanga, but Cory couldn't have cared less because his "telegram" hadn't arrived yet. Cory and Shawn just disliked Minkus because he was a nerd that took everything too seriously. Topanga was friendly toward him, but he was gone by the second season, only to reappear in the graduation episode of season 5. At that point, she and Minkus had a (off screen) rivalry (that the audience knew nothing about because we hadn't seen him in 4 years) to see who could get the most As. They were tied at 699 until Topanga threatened Feeny so she could get another one.
  22. I don't know what "old" Topanga everyone is speaking of. Like, season 1/2/3(ish)/4(ish) Topanga? 'Cause I definitely saw a switch in her around seasons 3 and 4 and this Topanga seems like the natural progression of seasons 5-7 Topanga. Which makes sense because I remember Rider saying that by the end of the series, there was basically no distinction between him and Shawn. I also remember Ben and Danielle saying that the writers put so much of their personality into the characters as they got older. But anyhoo, one of my big dislikes with "this many" year old Topanga is that she doesn't feel like she's been a mom for 12 years. She seems like a cool older sister or a lady who was just given a 12 year and a 5 year old a couple of weeks ago. Which is probably how Danielle relates to those kids, so I get it. It just doesn't feel authentic. However, like I commented in the E7 thread, she seemed way better in that episode so hopefully that part is settled in.
  23. Those drawings that Ridge was scribbling had me dead. I laughed so loudly when I saw that.
  24. None of the characters care about Wyatt except for his mother (and maybe Bill), while people actually like Liam. If Hope and Wyatt break up, most people will be actively happy, a couple of people "only want Hope's happiness" so it won't matter to them either way, and Quinn will try to kill him.
