They always have someone guarding the door. But there are a couple of times when Schultz walks in and sees Kinch or someone coming out of the tunnel. But since Schultz sees nothing, it's okay.

His defense was that the kid willfully aimed his skateboard at him in order to intentionally harm him.............

Last Tango In Halifax - General Discussion

When I was a kid, my then 20-something aunt used to baby sit me. That was one of her favorite songs. If it was on the radio, she'd crank it up. Sometimes she would get into these funks (ie: broke up with a boyfriend) and just play the cassette over and over and over. So whenever I hear it I'm reminded of being in the Volkswagon Beetle with her driving to some place or sitting in the living room of our apartment playing with that in the background. -

I thought the toasted nori wrap was interesting. Looks like a Rika episode next week. BTW, I made a pie crust using the soba noodle disc forming and rolling technique. It worked. But I need practice. lol. -

Caroline's reading at the dinner table and completely ignoring Lawrence isn't stability. She's just as neglectful as John who dashed off to find Judith. Lawrence and William endure horrible things in that household: parents fighting, parent's lovers, etc. -
I know the red letters show up on Lewis. For example the episode in which David Soul guest starred, the red letters spelled "Starsky and Hutch". There was another Lewis, episode where the red letters spelled "Lonsdale" (the College Morse briefly attended). One of the episodes for this series of Endeavour, the letters spelled "Guy Fawkes".

I don't know why they did that. Most of the people who watch Masterpiece or the BritComs know the word differences.

PBS will probably air it as a "special".

That was interesting. I especially liked how he rolled the dough into a cone then flattened out the tip to make a disc. Maybe I can use that same technique for pie dough? Right now I'm pushing the dough together to make a disc. I'll give it a try the next time I make pie. -

When Celia went on about Muriel needing to be the center of attention, etc. I got that feeling that Celia was projecting her traits onto Muriel. But I agree, I think Celia's worried Muriel will make a play for Allen. OTOH, I thought it was sweet that William called Allen "Grand Dad" when he left. And I think it's sweet Emily Jane's nickname is "Calamity" because Allan misheard Emily Jane over the phone. <-----that touch makes it "real" because family nicknames are usually given for silly reasons. Much better than calling her "E.J." or something like that. -
Maybe we should start a "red letter" thread?

jjj, I don't remember if Morse revealed when he bought the red Jag. I do remember in a Morse episode the Jag was damaged and brought to a repair shop -
One of the repeat cases last night was Delight Wright suing her ex-lover who parked a 'tore up' 2002 Jaguar he was buying from a friend in her garage. And the other was the father suing his daughter for the return of child support he paid.

Morse drove a red Jag. I can't remember what happens to it in the book after he dies (in the book, he leaves Lewis a nice sum of money). They don't say what happened to it in Lewis. -

The Morse-verse crashed on WETA UK last night: Inspector Morse episode Twilight of the Gods and the Endeavour premiere. So in Twilight, Morse investigates the shooting of an opera singer. At the end, he tells Lewis this: Chief Inspector Morse: Always preferred art myself. Don't know about life. I'm glad to meet people like Bayden. I'm not that sorry but... Today, I supposed because I've always thought of artista as...(shrugs) ... as being something different. Detective Sergeant Lewis: My dad used to love football - but he didn't like footballers. You have to keep the people that do things apart from what they do. But his first case as a DC in Oxford was a opera singer who murders her husband's teenaged mistress. WTF? -
In this thread: http://forums.previously.tv/topic/11319-s02e04-neverland Driad wrote jjj responded Music and poetry features prominently in the Morse-verse (even Robbie Lewis begins listening to classical music.) Use this thread to list and discuss the music and poetry (art too) featured in the programs. Un bel dì, vedremo levarsi un fil di fumo sull'estremo confin del mare.

In the Caroline-Celia showdown last season, Celia mentioned something about when Caroline went to university she cut her hair short and had a girlfriend, but Celia thought it was a phase/experimentation on Caroline's part. John is probably one of the biggest asshats of all time. But I gotta give him credit: he was the one who pushed Raff and Ellie to go to the registrar's and give the baby an official name and get Raff on the birth certificate. -

Hey, look at it like this. Colin Dexter's will prohibits another actor playing the role of Morse (John Thaw's Morse). BUT short of funds and interest, nothing will stop them from doing a prequel based on a young Fred Thursday or doing an Inspector Hathaway series. -
Just hope they don't have all three of them in a future Endeavour or Lewis

RE: Bright I think he was in denial about the extent of corruption in the police force and the extent to which the County police corruption effected his City police. And I think Bright is one of those old schoolers (you'd find in any organization) who believe in a rigid hierarchy. Therefore believes if you are a junior, you need to be mindful of your place in that hierarchy and not step out of your place. It's hard to say how many days later the final scene occurs. So we don't know how long Morse has been incarcerated. Oh well, I don't think I can wait 2 years.....

My PBS station showed The Remorseful Day recently. Morse is telling Lewis not to give up on Wagner. -
I didn't quite understand what evidence, other than his scarf, was there to implicate him in that murder? In addition to Thursday, there's Strange. He most likely alerted Bright because Jakes was too inebriated to do it. So is this when Strange begins moving up in the ranks?
