Are the exact circumstances by which Avery was conceived something that we are just supposed to forget about Sonny? You know, it would actually be a good story if the reason Sonny is so determined to get Ava out of Avery's life is because he can fanwank in his mind that Carly is mommy (which, let's face it, if they have their way, I'm sure they are hoping Avery sees Carly as mommy and not Ava) and that seeing Ava daily/weekly/monthly is a visual representation of the time he killed AJ, and he feels guilty about that because it hurt Michael... But no, we just have the Sonny version of Help! I Made A Baby With Someone I Hate And Now They Won't Give Up Parental Rights! Waah!
-
When have we seen Sonny struggle with his demons recently? Honestly. He doesn't care that he killed AJ and would do it again and Carly would help him cover it up, no question. And I really don't see how Avery can be considered a redemption for him when her very conception meant he was betraying his son and sleeping with Morgan's girlfriend.

GH History Lessons: Because History is Always Repeating Itself
LexieLily replied to Stinger97's topic in General Hospital
Laura has her own long history with Luke, so I'd think they'd have to treat both of their pasts equally. But what I think the show should do and what is actually does doesn't always intercept... -
GH History Lessons: Because History is Always Repeating Itself
LexieLily replied to Stinger97's topic in General Hospital
Thanks, Bishop and TeeVee329! So are you guys opposed to the budding Kevin/Laura romance? -
You can do it in the history thread if you like, but will you, bishop, or someone give me a quick history of Kevin and Lucy, and apparently Scotty?
-
But for real, how old are Kevin/Lucy/Laura/(Scotty? the guy with Lucy and Ava today) supposed to be? Older than the Carly/Sam/Maxie/Lulu set, for sure. In the Alexis age range? So, 50s? Mid-fifties?
-
So judging by tomorrow's promos, we're going to go with the Lucy-is-jealous-of-Kevin-and-Laura angle. Or vice versa, because spoilers say Laura overhears a conversation between Kevin and Lucy. Aren't all three of them a little too old to be doing high school shit like that? ETA: This coming from a fan that knows nothing of Kevin/Lucy history, just that apparently they have one, and I'm liking the slow buildup to Kevin/Laura.

Kevin is still in the hospital? Haven't they been back for a week or two by now?

I loved Hayden today. If Sam isn't allowed to tell Liz some truths, at least someone is. Liz is just as responsible for the events leading to Nik's death (the one on Cassidine Island and the fake one) because it all goes back to The Lie and what Jason and Sam had to do to get their lives back. Who is Liz to talk about Hayden's regret keeping her up at night?
-
Has it been explicitly stated that Jason/Sam are divorced? Because I wouldn't put it past this show to say that Alexis never officially filed the papers. Neither of them seemed that enthused about an official divorce, anyway.
-
Edited 'cause I can't figure out how to do multiple quotes in one box.
-
I think Danny, actually.
-
I think Sam would love that more than anything material Jason could get for her.
-
Does this make Danny/Baby Morgan the only, or one of the few, set of full biological siblings on this show?
-
Franco and Sam sharing a scene ever is disgusting, but for him to barge into her hospital room, make thinly veiled sexual innuendo and ask her for a favor in regards to Jason? HELL NO. Good for the writers allowing Sam to tell Liz to make a note in her chart to not allow Franco near her room again, but that got ruined when she had to make nice to Liz and defend Nik to her. Liz, Jason doesn't care what you do. He cares that the serial rapist / tormenter that terrorized him and his wife is hanging around his son. And you have to honor his opinions and respect them. That's what co-parenting is. And Jason found out about Franco tormenting his wife off-screen. Fantastic. So let's recap: of the three major points in the JaSam story that needed to be told, Robin got to tell Jason that Danny was biologically his son, and Sam telling Jason about their son's cancer, and what Franco did to her in Hawaii, which dovetailed into point number one, happened off-screen. Fantastic. This show is crap at the beats of a story it chooses to tell.

Pool and Open Water Swimming: Do Not Swallow the Water
LexieLily replied to selkie's topic in 2016 Olympics
Her fellow competitors don't seem to be fans of her being there, either. -
Why is Ava still having to beg Sonny and Carly to be able to see the daughter that she has sole custody of? Can't she just go to the courts and say Sonny/Carly kidnapped and are withholding her daughter?
-
I'm so glad that the scene of Sam tearfully telling her back-from-the-dead husband about their son's cancer was off-screen, and Jason was tested off-screen. There's no reason viewers would want to see that. Not after missing most of the emotional beats of this reunion story. [/sarcasm] We still haven't had a JaSam/Danny family scene since Jason started remembering...

Jordan, you are a horrible commissioner. Wanting to get verification from Ava (why??) that Nik was really alive on the island when she has four witnesses in town that aren't murderers, and one of them is right in front of you and one of your police officers? She's just pissed that JaSam solved the Nik murder case for her in two days with post-it notes while the PCPD did jack squat. Also? Darby, sweetie, if you slept with Morgan and Dillon (which, WTF, when did that happen?) and Morgan slept with Kiki, the hypothetical of Kiki sleeping with Dillon wouldn't make this a nice little circle. That would be a square.

They were awfully flirty and touchy...

Tregaye's On Fleek Eats? Really, Food Network? Really? I would have paid money for, when Giada asked Ana what she thought of Tregaye's pilot, to have Ana say that she still thought Tregaye was playing a shtick and she didn't know what on fleek and poppin' food meant. Damiano was my favorite of the pilots and probably the only one of the three I would maybe watch at least one episode, so he gets third. Of course.

S03.E09: Girl Meets Ski Lodge: Part 2
LexieLily replied to AmandaPanda's topic in Girl Meets World [V]
Why is it played for "aww!" and cute on a Disney show that an eighteen year old college freshman just half-promised someday and said he reciprocated the feelings of his niece's best friend that is three / four years younger than him? FEENY next week! -
Liz, if you have to ask approval from a priest on whether or not she should be dating Franco - and hey, isn't it just a coincidence that who she asked is possibly the only one in that damn town that doesn't have a preconceived notion about him or first-hand victimization of his serial killing ways?) then you probably shouldn't be dating him...
-
The first Cry Wolfe on Tuesday actively pissed me off. The investigator finds out enough to know that the guy's sister was dating a creeper and had a restraining order against him, and knows enough to figure that she is probably running away from him, but he still tracks her and actively encourages her friends to call her and track her down? If the woman was so close to her brother and mom, shouldn't they have known where she was? ETA: Got to the end. The abusive boyfriend posed as a concerned brother to track her down. That's some creepy Lifetime shit right there.

Kevin and Laura are cute together. So I hope the show doesn't write for them much so they don't get ruined.
