  1. Damn. I figured Bill would die when he teased "I'm going to die" but I was hoping the show would be more twisty by having him escape a near death. He can only survive that stabbing if that's what Villanelle wanted. Oh well.
  2. He was in full action mode, killing that host on the ground. Can't do that with a recently dislocated shoulder, but this is sci-fi so I'll give it a pass.
  3. Once again, I'm mostly invested in Maeve and Bernard's storylines, though I'm not clear on why Maeve needs to keep Lee alive. Can't wait to see Maeve and Clementine's reunion. I'm not crazy about the writers repeating the season one scenario in which a host has to recall how a massacre happened. Hopefully there will be a more inventive subplot. I curious about why Delores killed the Native American host. Dunno why William no longer has a broken arm. So they're on an island with no airport, is that it?
  4. Yay, Cara Maria. Glad she won. Now I just need to see Sarah win big over Johnny B. as payback for stealing her prize money.
  5. I don't even know what show this is anymore, with Rick suddenly talking about the need to stand together because "death is coming for us" via an army of Whitewalkers, er, walkers, and Rick slicing Negan's throat and ordering a guy to fix it like he's Maeve on Westworld. WTF happened to the writing? It's like the writers went on vacation and the janitorial staff has been filling in.
  6. Good God. Phillip Plein is a complete ass. He shouldn't be anywhere near impressionable young women.
  7. Loved the pilot! A nice balance of playful snark and heartfelt drama. The actress playing the assassin looks a lot like Betty Gilpin from "Glow" and "Nurse Betty."
  8. Yes! The narration is like his ad pitches on Mad Men. God, I miss that show.
  9. A good start to the season, though I may need to read recaps of last season cuz I don't recall the details. I still can't look at Stan's girlfriend without seeing Gena Rowlands. (I never noticed the resemblance on TWD.) That knifing was brutal. Geez. I hope Paige finds out that she got someone killed.
  10. Wow. This season is the absolute worst. From the lame plot contrivances to the dialogue in which everyone repeatedly states the obvious. "I wanted to kill them all." "Me too." Good grief.
  11. The writing on this "reality" show is so transparent. Rio is clearly on the fast track to the top two, if not to win. Nobody buys that storyline about her bringing nothing to the shoot. Still rooting for Khrys. She's always stunning.
  12. Tyra's baby voice lesson made me cringe so hard that I slipped a disc. WTF was that?
  13. Good Lord, that Tara/Dwight storyline is pure torture. The monotony is excruciating. Please make it stop.
  14. Wow. I was rooting for Rio in episode 1, but now... Oof. I get the feeling that she only hangs with Jeana because she doesn't see her as a threat. Despite the denials, you could see how much they were hurting when they were shunned after the spa. All that insecurity can be toxic.
  15. Michael Stuhlbarg is everywhere lately. Another good ep. I prefer it when they stay away from the mess that is O'Neill's personal life.
  16. This ep was better than the first, probably because John Dahl directed it. Sarsgaard is so good at playing a smug, self-absorbed weasel.
  17. I heard a rave review of the first two eps so my expectations were too high. It's good but a bit cheesy, especially with the scenes revealing O'Neill as a polygamist (or maybe he's just a cheater; I was kind of nodding off). And that scene in which a first date is interrupted by an urgent job call is screenwriting 101. I'll keep watching b/c I'm interested in the story and I love Sarsgaard and Camp. Rahim's weird accent is distracting. They could have written in some quirky line about his character being raised in France so he can speak normally.
  18. *Sigh* I'd rather see Carrie handling the standoff than skipping meds for another slow-mo train wreck. I literally screamed at the TV "Don't kiss him!"
  19. Wow. This whole exercise is just a big, fat "NO."
  20. That was good. I liked the family drama stuff. And they killed off the sexual predator as a bonus. Nice.
  21. Hmm. I'm on the fence. All the family/relationship drama was meh so I guess I'll watch for the supernatural premise to see where it goes. Holly Hunter is great but the mom was really bugging me (especially in the therapist's office) because I know someone just like that. The actress playing the only biological kid cannot be 17. I thought she looked around 25. ETA: Okay, she is 25, and I had no idea that was Sosie Bacon.
  22. I also thought that this ep was clunkier than the pilot. The action was less believable. Three or four cops have the drop on the assassin and she turns and shoots them all? Try doing that to cops in NYC and you'll be Swiss cheese. I got lost plot-wise, but I was multitasking so I'll need to watch it again.
  23. It wasn't just you. The scene of Cunanan on the club's dance floor was also redundant. He's a sociopath who enjoys lying about his identity. We get it.
