  1. I don't believe it, either. They may also be working out and eating differently, but that's not all they're doing. Erika and Kyle have lost so much weight in such a short time. They've both always wanted to look slimmer, and I find it hard to believe both of them were suddenly able to achieve their ideal bodies without pharma help. Kyle also looks like she has had a tummy tuck at some point, and a breast reduction. She's had four kids, so it isn't a surprise she'd get one of those "mommy makeovers" they always showed on Dr. 90210.
  2. With this whole storyline, I've been sitting here wondering if Stella has forgotten how she ghosted Kelly while on her Girls on Fire cross country tour, which she kept extending without talking to him about it. And how she expected him to just be fine with her behavior without any explanation. She set the precedent.
  3. She hesitated only after Nat told her she had to face her while killing her. Otherwise, she picked up that knife lickety split and had it at Nat's throat right away.
  4. Was Shauna broken up? I think I missed that in her rush to grab the knife to kill Nat immediately.
  5. I hate where this is going. They can never leave couples alone on tv shows. Always some bad news. I'm guessing Lilianna is all too familiar with her brother's problems. She seems to feel obligated to pay his debts as a way to take care of him, but he's taking her down with him. She can't just pull out of escrow without losing part of her deposit on the house. She'll never see that gambling money again. That's just a start. Maybe she doesn't want Dr. Charles sucked down along with her, so she's turning down his help and pushing him away. I have no idea where he came from. I think I missed an episode or something.
  6. She walked into that meeting thinking she was about to be fired for always being late and tired, and messing up at work dropping things during surgery. Part of the reason they gave her this grant is so she could show up to the hospital awake and alert, not half asleep and exhausted from her second job. I don't think they'd want to pile extra work on her. They want to help her become a good doctor. That's an interesting question about the others. I don't remember much about their backgrounds or financial status. They could probably apply for a grant, too, if they needed it, or just ask for one. The hospital is desperate to keep its intern program going.
  7. I think it's because she is the only one who needs it because she has to work a second job. The others don't. It's like colleges that give grants to poor students who also get loans, work-study jobs, etc. in order to attend, while others have parents who can afford it without them needing grants and work study jobs.
  8. She was pretty happy after her one day at her new job.
  9. This annoys me. They're on Fantasy Island. Elena and Javier should be having a fun, passionate Fantasy Island relationship. Mr. Roarke was a ladies' man; why can't Elena have some fun?
  10. Is Jo even a surgeon anymore? I don't remember if she's been involved in any medical stuff this season. Maybe she has, but my impression of her is she has been a mope for multiple seasons with no joy or energy whatsoever and is barely even a doctor, much less an interesting one. I feel that same way, and I will never like her and Linc together, never. I, too, would like to see Winston made a full character without Maggie. I couldn't believe when she told him it wasn't that she didn't respect him for switching specialties for the sake of their marriage, but that she thought he was a coward and that's why she didn't respect him. Wow, way to make things even worse, Maggie. I also couldn't believe she was claiming she was trying to save their marriage but Winston wasn't and "wasn't there." We've been watching this show, Maggie, and you are a cold, absent partner and always have been. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
  11. I just looked it up, and it wasn't until 1970 that states started recognizing rape within a marriage and changing laws. It wasn't until 1993 that all 50 states called it rape and made it illegal. It's shocking how recent that is - only 30 years ago! Even though I experienced that slow cultural shift as it was happening, watching this episode made me realize that I take those laws for granted. Phyllis is wonderful. Nancy is so lucky Phyllis was there for her. I know Nancy had not had the opportunity to learn about handling money, but I found her behavior frustrating. She should have stopped digging when she saw she was standing in a hole, not kept spending until she was in way over head. Did they teach budgeting in home economics classes in school, when there used to be home ec classes?
  12. I watched to the end, and saw Josh and Donna get together. It was anti-climactic, to say the least. They looked bored with each other, especially Donna, even as they were finally a couple, and the whole thing came off as really dull rather than exciting or satisfying or even real.
  13. How can Addison drive with her arm in a sling? She's not driving that rig one-armed, is she?
  14. I thought Danny lived in France with his mom and sister.
  15. I don't want to feel like that about Maya, but I kinda do. I had trouble warming to her character from the beginning, even though I've tried to have sympathy because she had a shitty childhood with her abusively pushy and competitive father. It's hard to feel sympathy for her when she does things like bring a bottle to an alcoholic to sabotage him, whether he chose to open it or not. It's also that I've always really liked Carina and want her to have the loving relationship she wants, and Maya is so damned hard to be with even on a good day. Her ingrained instinct is to win. Carina was not wrong to question whether Maya wanting to win her back was about Maya not wanting to fail more than it was about Maya wanting Carina. That was so cathartic! These are the most unruly, undisciplined group of supposed professionals who do not like following the rules. They have needed to hear that, not that they listened. I'm sure there is protocol if a team suspects their captain is unfit for whatever reason. This should never have gotten to the point they were out on a call with a captain they suspected was drunk. But, it's tv drama.
  16. I didn't get a good look where the protesters were exactly. Were they actually on hospital property, or across the street where it's public property?
  17. Yes, it's still happening. A PP clinic in Illinois was burned down in January, and a planned location for a clinic in Wyoming was burned down about 6 months ago. Church groups and other groups also continue to protest in front of clinics every day.
  18. Trudy just makes everything better.
  19. That was really surprising, and unrealistic. She might be comfortable with Danny, but not with a virtual stranger she hasn't been around in person in her memory, and without her mother. Also unrealistic is Maggie's fit and trim figure so soon after childbirth.
  20. Becky does not have ownership in that house. Where would she have gotten a down payment? Not that Darlene would have had much of one, either, but at least she had a management job working at that factory for a while, so we can sort-of pretend to believe she had some cash. Becky was just going to pay rent, which would make the mortgage affordable for Darlene. Then she and Ben bought it together, and still kept the deal with Becky, again to help with the mortgage since Darlene didn't have a full time job anymore.
  21. I would have expected bikers to be more of a presence in this world. With their heavy leather jackets, pants, helmets and gloves, they would have lasted longer against the infected than others.
  22. Her hair has been a distraction to me all along. I get it that she keeps her look simple, but those bangs are atrocious. I don't understand.
  23. My guess was she didn't have anywhere to go, nor any money once she got there. I also wonder what happens to her now. Does she have a home? Did they say anything about her family?
  24. I thought Amelia and Kai were done when Kai said they didn't want anything to do with parenting. What happened to that?
  25. I probably would have watched the show, but Felicity Huffman is the reason I will not.
