  1. From all I'm reading, my impressions of the episode do *not* match those of many. For the series, that's a good thing, because I thought this episode tanked in several areas. Coulson emoting? I did not find that he pulled that off well at all. It was close to being good, but for me, became more desperate and suspect rather than genuinely how he ended up feeling. By this I mean: leading up to being at 'the Fridge', it was pretty good. Coulson does really good cold-pissed, strong and quiet determination, snarky and inteilligent reparte. That's what I LOVED about him in the Marvel movies. He was this seemingly nice, charming, sweet, almost shy (Pepper and Tony scene with the champagne when Pepper was in the sassy cut off jeans shorts and he 'respectfully looked down and away' during their discussion)... and also a man that I KNEW wouldn't take anyone's bullshit. He'd usually give some snarky comment to show his sincerity and strength when challenged. And he showed his cold, balls out eff you when he blasted with that one gun (that no one knew what it did - "oh, so that's what it does"). He had this class, strength, intelligence, and grace that ... well... made me Dedicated Coulson Putty. But the stuff we've been seeing lately? Not so much. And my husband keeps reminding me that we weren't watching Coulson as lead of a team in the movies, so we didn't see his Alpha entirety. With this team, he has to make the calls, take the shots, and be the hard ass, so with that, I can appreciate a lot more of what we're seeing. But, the overly-emoting, piss-ass bad-ass who has all the warm-fuzzies for Skyeflake... he just seems to me that he's lost all direction and conviction. At least what made him the Coulson I apprecaited. I don't trusts in those he's trusting. I still think that Simmons is HYDRA. She's just giving me that vibe. And at this point, I don't see demure, cute, and innocence with her. I also suspect Skyeflake. Going back to the beginning - for someone so flippnig savvy and street-wise, she was caught awfully easy. And please, PLEASE don't 'ship her up with Ward. Good grief... she completely loses her edge when all doe-eyed and hopeful for love. And Ward is not worth it. I don't see Ward's character as having too much in the way of range. He's just blah to me. And having him go back and forth being the douche with someone (from what I remember) the woman who could control minds says his heart is set on (which is why May dumped him - wasn't her). It's annoying. Fitz - what is up with that man?! Get some balls, babe... LOVE me some Patton Oswalt! His delivery is epic. I hope he's on this series, lanyard and all, for a long while. Loving Bill Paxton being Super Dick. He's really effing good at it. But, I have to say, I am not enjoying what seems to me to be this MASSIVE push to cause intrigue and doubt in who and who's not HYDRA. To me, seems forced and contrived for maximum drama. Kind of kills it for me, really. Team Oswalt !
  2. Starri, I totally agree, and would go one further that Russ has an unrealistically elevated opinion of anything Russ :-) I liked this week's episode. I loved seeing how they prep a head for casting. And the critiques were really well presented. One thing I have to say is that, unlike many other reality competition shows, I believe that each and every judge does more to build up than tear down. The critiques are well thought out, easily and respectfully delivered and if a smack down is needed, given directly and with the import they deamnd within their creature shop. I really learn a lot about what I am seeing in any Henson creation - what all goes into it, how much thought is given to *all* details of the creature, and how much enjoyment they get when it's done well. They show due respect and give honest praise. Really enjoying this. Except for Russ. He's an ass of the first waters and the sooner his pissy-moany-inflated-ego self leaves, the happier I will be. And given all the smack he's talked, I'd like to see him go down in a ball of flames, If course, Brian and the rest will do so with class. Much more than Russ presents. ETA: Pardon my not finding the woman's name before entering this. The woman who'd had the issue with the cranium being smaller than to allow her the use of both eyes, thus having to gut the back of the scull to fit both the eyes. I was wondering why she didn't just use an eye patch or make it part of the story that her creature had lost in in the fight for its head. She could have, instead of wasting a bunch of time (Ivonne was it) trying to fix the issue thus wasting a lot of time and ruining her project, found a way around it and kept the integrity of her project much more intact. I agree that the judges may have dinged her on that, but what she could have gained by working around the issue - creatively - may have brought more respect than what she'd presented
  3. Margaery wasn't wearing anything special (re: necklace). Sansa had a much nicer one. One thing I *did* wonder... was Cersi wearing the one that Olenna tossed off the balcony? Not that it looked *exactly* like it, but it sure was 'in the ballpark'.
  4. Few things Adios, Jerkfry. Guess that's what severe twin inbreeding does for a lad... When Joffrey chopped up the book, I think that was the final straw for many. Unfortunately, his mother and 'grandfather' couldn't appreciate what was lost, but I could see that Tyrion would die a bit inside... a tome of that value completely destroyed. I wondered if the mother of Stannis' daughter is hoping to bait Melisandre into harming her daughter in hopes of turning Stannis away from her - finally. I can also see that she would revile a daughter for not having been a son, thus her husband's 'need' to find someone who could give him one. Oberyn - the cutting dialog with him is always fun and deep. I am hoping that Arya gets Tywin at least. And with regards to the poisoning - remember when Dany was being that in order to 'conquer a land, she must know it'? He'd stated that the blue rose (forgetting a lot of names and such here this very early Monday morning - post GoT episode) was used to poison. The necklace was blue. Joffrey was poisoned. I am wondering if Olenna planned this with the knight, Dontas. I suspect his family may have known hers or some inter-mingling thereof. I believe that the beads were really amulets of the poison, and Olenna knew this. Suspicious, to me at least, that Olenna is looking for a suitable necklace for Margery, and here Dontas comes up and gives her something from 'his mother' - the only thing he has left from his family. Not recalling (and will have to rewatch) the necklace Margery wore, but I hardly doubt it was as nice as Sansas looked on her. Very sorry Tyrion is the fall guy. Part of me wondered if Cersi did this to her own son (Tywin's chant: all for the good of the family) to insure that Margery doesn't become queen. She'd told the one guy (cannot recall his name) that the queen just gave him an order to feed the hounds with the leftovers. Not the former queen regent, as everyone was so want to describe her this episode. Joffrey and Margery did not consumate their marriage. I believe that would usurp the plans for who would actually be queen. I could be wrong on all of this :-) Just my thoughts and observations. Going to continue reading the threads so I can look for a lot more tonight when I rewatch :-D
  5. Ward still has the harddrive copy with all of the information Skye loaded. She gave it to him for 'safekeeping'. The more I think about it, the less I trust Simmons. She gave Stillwell a slight nod when Hand was asking for a sign. To me, that allowed him to make either move and she would go with it. She's the one whose been analyzing Skye's blood and the syrum. She's been dilligent in keeping all that from everyone but Fitz, and I don't believe he knows the full extent or all the details about what she's been doing. Skye's character is getting a better script, but she seems completely 'idolized' by the rest of the crew for some reason. Yes, she may have 'proven' herself useful and trustworthy by all she's done for SHIELD, but she's still (imo) an untested unknown. Their showing Hand bleeding leads me to believe she's in fact not dead. Whatever Ward was going through with the noise in his head at the end is still a mystery to me. Have to talk with the husband to get him to explain. He catches so much in these episodes. I'd already read spoilers before we watched the DVR'd episode last night and when Garrett was talking about 'the flowered dress', first thing my husband said was 'Coulson never mentioned that' - even before Coulson said it. The man is good :-) Still not sure where all of this will go, but eyeing Simmons suspiciously.
  6. Russ can leave my screen any time - soon. His team has been in the bottom each and ever time due to him. I agree with SherriAnt that it's him. He whines, he bitches, and he deflects as nothing is his fault, but he's the only constant in all three teams. I think his ego far outweighs his expertise and talent. Big fish in a very small pond syndrome Regarding teams, I like that they do them for the sheer fact that it does show the judges how they will work within a team if they are hired, which I think they will do much more so than not. If they see isssues there, there's no real reason to bring on a 'lone gun' to a team workshop. I would, however, like to see what each person does on their own. Looks like we may be getting the chance to see that soon.
  7. Outside of this week's kiss (their first one, though, IS included in this statement) I really enjoy the chemistry between these two and I believe it's the actors' doing. This was one of the best lines this week, but the whole exchange was great. All in all, I really liked this episode. Please, however, I hope they will NOT bring back Lucy. What a weak, insipid character.
  8. I think Judge Judy asks a LOT of questions of those she thinks are scamming so there's some record of what they're doing should their statements/actions come to the attention of those who can do something about it, they have first person documentation. I don't see her beating up on people she thinks are scammers so much as her trying to get as much information out within her recordable forum for later use.
  9. One of my absolute FAVES was the Chicken Lady on a date. She made the omlette from eggs she got from her own 'booooody!' I would occasionally call a friend at work who was also a KITH fan and tell him I had something from my boooody for him. This was a great show. SO happy to see a thread here for it!
  10. Breeder mom who sold the pup in anger because it chewed something was an idiot. Glad she didn't get a THING back AND that she had to pay. She *was* a stalker. I get she was desperate because after she sold the dog, she had to face her daughter's grief over it, but she was contacting the college student the next morning PRIOR to 8am... and then KNEW she wasn't in class that morning?! What the eff! I'd have gone for the full $5000 and let Judy pare it down as she saw fit
  11. New to this forum. RIP TWOP. Glad to be here :-) Okay, so I got the whole edit for Amber and knew it would be her (although I haven't yet finished the epi), but she grated me something fierce this entire season. I was TOTALLY Team Jamie, although Ann can suck it. Loved how Amber (at least in edit) seemed to tick Ann off with "Yes, Ann, we know" comment. Bobby was really supportive when he'd taste Jamie's stuff. Ann was playground-age competitive and showed herself an ass.
