looks like those of us in Canada who've been watching at 8 pm will have to join the 10 pm brigade. CTV has picked up the new XFiles and has slotted that into the 8 pm time :( no more advance notice from us about the episodes

my favourite season 3 episode, and arguably one of my favourite of the entire series.

like I said, I have most of the dvds and all the episodes downloaded, so it's not like I'm completely deprived :) but this is why Netflix doesn't have me as a customer.

I'm in Canada. Netflix doesn't have CM up this way.....

They didn't really go into too much detail as to Lindsey's motivations for the whole Reid in prison thing, but I suspect we're supposed to think it's all about her luuuuuuuuuuuuuuurve for Cat Adams. Gia did play it for the hurt/devastation when she heard the truth on the phone. Or at least, I thought she did. She'd been so coolly smug before that, holding up her phone and that blasé "Waiting for a phone call" while sitting with the detonator in her hands.

watched it this morning. ugh. although, two good things: 1. I did like how the profile was done (FINALLY!!!!) *just* Prentiss, and one other (Alvez), I'm sorry but didn't I (and probably a million others) suggest this ages ago? Have the boss (Prentiss) and one of the profilers (this time, Alvez) deliver the profile, and intersperse that footage and audio with visuals of the other team members working the case. 2. "Not today Satan."

he's completely out of 9 and 10 by my math. No sign of him in the preview for next week's so he may be out of that too, but (as per below) will nudge! ..... if he does appear at all, of course it'll be screencapped to the 9s so I'll point you there :). I'm hoping, since they 'listened' to us and actually seconded an agent (Lewis, to Flynn's court appearance) this time around like we suggested, that maybe they'll also listen to our suggestion that 'Reid at the podium for his lecture' or 'Reid at the computer writing his lecture' or 'Reid in the library researching' may be a reality, if only as a bit of a montage while the team is discussing their case or something and one says 'I'll text Spence[r] and ask him <whatever is eluding them>"...... LOL... yeah, I can see that, you being a medical person. It was okay with me because it flew right over my head of course ("Reid and the bafflegab"). But I suppose this kind of error rankles with you the same way police procedure muckups do with me :)

the 9 pm check-in: Reid-o-Meter: 6 he's actually in quite a lot of this episode. I was surprised, given there's no sign of him in the teaser (except for the shot of him that was taken from the season premiere). but I think we're either not gonna see him next episode, or there'll be some indication about his 100/30 because he tells the others on the jet on the way home that his "first lecture is tomorrow" The good: (see above image) LOL! @ his exchange with the actual doctor in the hospital. like .....the whole Luke subplot. Likeable guy, nice bit of backstory for Luke, nice friendship development with Garcia. and LOU! although Lou is probably just in tonight's ep. :( dislike.... that we see the unsub right off the top again (well, sorta...you'll know what I mean) Gender/fixations given away immediately all the snakeage is really gross for someone like me.. ugh. so much snakeage. My stuffed bear really earned her keep today, haven't needed her like this since Mr Scratch. really dislike..... all the torture porn. ugh. I will give them some credit for originality/creativity (and probably some heavy - duty observation by the Animal Welfare overseers). Different MO, different kind of unsub and trigger/endgame. But way too much ick and torture for my liking. Edited to add: Reid shot that finger point at his appointed investigative partner (JJ this time, but she's off camera) I was amused.... and record time for my download and screencapping :)

I fear it's another one of those '3-4 little scenes' and that's all for Matthew though. Zoe stars Ewan McGregor, another favourite of mine. But I wish Matthew'd get cast as the lead again some day.

If you're a *Matthew* fan, you wanna see 68kill. It is violent in places, as senin said (I was also watching it through my fingers and repeating OMFG out loud several times, but I remembered all the photos Matthew tweeted while shooting this, with the makeup and kept telling myself 'it's makeup, it'a makeup!" He really stretches as an actor and gets to play a character who's very, very different from Reid. And in the purely shallow department: he's shirtless for so much of this film, and there's so much skin :) If you're (just) a *Reid* fan, you can probably skip this one. Some of the movie's content is upsetting/difficult to deal with depending on your sensitivities. But I think Matthew's performance (as well as those of Alisha Loe sp? and AnnaLynne McCord ) are well worth watching it for. His Chip has character flaws, and things don't always go well for him. MGG gets to flex his comedy muscle a bit too. And I found it refreshing to see that he could actually be a leading man; CM doesn't seem to see fit to give Reid any sort of credibility as viable love interest. And in 68 kill, he gets/does, um, all kinds of action. I also found I had to screencap the bejeebers out of this one. My previous record for screencaps was about 350 for "Entropy" but I think I hit the 700 mark with 68 kill. And I didn't even screencap the scene referenced by both senin and myself, above. like this.....

yep. and it wouldn't have taken much. I could've done without that whole 'the guy in California with 79 items to his name, including his underwear' line. They could've used that amount of time at the end of the episode (where we got that overly long extended shot -comparatively speaking- of the sisters being reunited) to have him heave a sigh of relief and have this sort of quick exchange: JJ touches his arm and asks 'you okay?' (knowing what they'd gone through) and he could nod and say 'I am now. Just. That cell.' She squeezes his arm and says 'It rattled me a bit too. But we're good, you did good.' He looks out over the reunited sisters 'Yeah, it's all good now." (something along those lines, anyway)

right! yes, you are right!..... hmmmm... being in that bunker in the first place, and getting locked into that cell....should've triggered the PTSD/PTSS. Or at least a mention of it. If he is so over it, then that would negate the whole 100/30 thing too.

lol...further to my previous squawking about CTV and their airing times -- @secnarf you will relate. According to my online listings, next Wednesday, CTV Toronto says it's airing 'Neon Terror' at 8 pm. CBS Buffalo is airing 'Dust and Bones' at 10 pm. And the CTV affiliate from Durham 'Chex channel 12' (which is cable 16 for me) is airing 'Dust and Bones' at 8 pm. Like get your act together, CTV. which is it already?! I fired off a complaint to them about airing Mirror Image at 8 last night and The Bunker at 10, but not letting people know that ahead of time (I wonder how many people tuned it at 8, saw 'Mirror Image' and gave up, thinking they weren't getting the new CM last night. I reiterate, CTV is apparently run by morons) But it does look like it's gonna stay at 8 pm for us here in the Toronto area.

I was disappointed that Reid didn't figure out the door code was 1200. Heck, I SAID it out loud as soon as he started going on about the combinations of numbers and how long it would take.... and while I really liked the direction (Aisha has some talent there!), the one scene in the BAU where Rossi, Alvez and Simmons were discussing the case, and the camera circled around them made me nauseous. The circling around them was a good idea, but it was too fast and incited dizziness. A slower panorama woulda made it perfect.

OMFG... CTV, you guys are a bunch of incompetent aholes. They ARE re-airing "Mirror Image" from last season. what a bunch of morons. followed by a hearty LOL....... they are airing the new one, simulcast with CBS (dammit, I hate that!) at 10 pm.... I wonder if the execs at CTV have decided/realised that 8 pm is NOT a good air time for Criminal Minds....
