  1. pretty sure that for legal reasons, nobody's fanfiction, email to a writer or producer, idea or script would ever be used by the show's writers. Unless things have changed from the Star Trek days, anything sent to a staff member is returned unopened/certified destroyed/whatever. They don't want to/are not allowed to tread into the mud puddle that would arise if they 'took' someone's idea. not to mention the wanna-be contributor would need representation. It's just not done freelance.
  2. I've been working on this one for quite some time and ran into writer's block and just too much Christmas and no time to write. Finally done. The continuing saga of Spencer and Grace, a story for Droogie.. at aooo: https://archiveofourown.org/works/13597809 at ff net: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12827250/1/Journey-Together-Part-One enjoy! (I hope)
  3. I exclaim I question that period
  4. yes. why? he says the B word. I know :)
  5. I have a love/hate relationship with Zugzwang. As a fan of the *actor* I love it, he gets to stretch so much as an actor. As a fan of the Reid character, I hate it. Hate what the poor guy is going through (yet again, they haven't tortured him enough)
  6. Aaaand another question. Barnes said Walker’s death was the BAU’s first active duty death. I think; I don’t remember her exact words. ...... her exact words: "SSA Walker was the first agent to die in the field in the BAU's storied history." Didn’t six agents die in that muck-up of Gideon’s ? I expressly recall them saying six of his team. So that woulda been BAU members. On duty. Barnes can’t even get her facts straight?
  7. an episode tag of sorts for Miasma http://archiveofourown.org/works/13545630 at aooo and https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12821819/1/Musings-after-Miasma at ff net
  8. no, Cruz was the "Section Chief"... Barnes is "Assistant Director" which I assume is a higher rank than Cruz'....but you think yeah, since the BAU falls under his supervision, he'd be informed/involved in this. mostly agreed. :) But Reid looked great!
  9. I was hoping for some kind of PTS D/S callback, since it's been a year. But CM will conveniently not be on come Feb 13 :(
  10. I'm finding it difficult to wrap my head around Prentiss being reviewed/disciplined/whatever for a tiny oversight like 'I didn't record it' (the interview) when Hotch never faced any measures for some of the things he did (hiding Reid's drug use, apparently overlooking Rossi killing Donnie Mallick etc for example.) Law enforcement does all sorts of gray area stuff in order to solve crimes and serve justice. "I didn't record the interview" (especially since it turned out we were right all along and Reid was framed) just doesn't cut it as a significant misuse of her power. IMO.
  11. actually, paget just tweeted a reply to this very question from a fan who asked if someone (read: she) was leaving. Her reply was an emphatic "Are you kidding me? ! We all love our fans" girl got no plan to leave. I think it'll come down to that assistant director being some sort of baddie. She did say 'pending internal review'. That could mean like, one episode, :)
  12. agreed norm. But I think they may well have overlooked Reid because he's still (apparently, allegedly, who knows???) undergoing treatment/recovering from PTSD. As such, would not be particularly open to being unit chief. And, if what I'm thinking is correct (that they picked JJ in particular because they felt she'd be vulnerable to manipulation by this Barnes person), they wouldn't wanna be responsible for possibly harming the still-vulnerable-due-to-PTSD Reid. if that made sense.
  13. well that guest snake is in last night's and the next three episodes so I think this little mini-arc will be resolved by then (fortunately, before the MGG directed ep)... In fact, it makes the titles of the next three episodes kinda make sense now: Miasma--a stinky mess Annihilator--gunning for the BAU Last Gasp--presumably hers. Emily and her team will have this sorted out. Not looking forward to the month's wait between Miasma and Annihilator :( Part of me wonders if Prentiss didn't cook this up with her (whatshername again Rhodes?) to draw out the mole. But they haven't even touched on Reid's PTSD, never mind the mole thing, since forever so I'm back to she's the mole and she's been trying to discredit/bring down the BAU etc. But why? argh.... well, gonna go console myself with screencapping instead. :D
  14. I liked this one a lot......right up until that last scene.
  15. part of the problem here is that I'm just currently not available. O:-) (JK!!!) seriously, I wonder if part of the problem is that a huge portion of the Matthew fandom is the young uns, and they don't want him attached. And the powers that be would know this and maybe wanna cater to that young(er) audience. argh! So, we get unattachable Reid instead. What?! They don't think this smart, gorgeous, considerate, well mannered guy would be capable of getting a girlfriend??
  16. I don't honestly expect us to see his seminars. But yeah a simple 'How's the lecturing going?' // "Really well, thank you." as they're sitting down at the round table would do it. Just *acknowledge* he's doing them. Or even Prentiss just maybe squeezing his shoulder as she walks past him and says "The seminars are going really well I hear." I don't really even expect a lot regarding his mother either. But there again a simple "How's DIana enjoying the new care facility?" from Rossi or JJ as they're walking to their seats in the jet or sumpthin'. What I *do* want, expect, practically demand, is more acknowledgement of his PTSwhatever. That really does need to be addressed. Large. And that he's actually a feasible love interest for someone. Geezuz, if they can pull Alvez away from Roxy long enough to go on a date surely someone is interested in Reid. And again, I'd be satisfied with someone on the team (say, Luke or Penelope) saying 'So how did you and the lady I saw you with last night like the new Star Wars movie?' to which he could reply, "I enjoyed it, but she's actually more of a Star Trek fan, we've been watching the new series every Sunday" (or something similar to indicate he's been seeing her for a while). ____ As for Bad Moon on the Rise.... judging by the costume changes, they were in NYC for at least three days/two nights. And there was a murder committed immediately before they were called in and another once they were there. Full moon....three nights in a row? wtf? The whole werewolf thing was kinda unnecessary, really. Interesting, but not executed particularly well or believably. If it's supposed to be January in NY, to the best of my knowledge, it's been pretty freakin' cold and snowy there; points off. (at least there's no palm trees in Central Park on CM, points on) Happily, no one rolled their eyes or sighed when Reid gave all of Central Park's (correct, because I checked LOL) stats. I realise it had to be 'nighttime' because of the werewolf parameters, but again, so much is so dark it's aggravatingly hard to see. loved, loved, LOVED the blocking/shooting of the scene in the alley where (JJ) Rossi & Reid attend the latest victim's murder scene. The variation of shots, and the angles made it somewhat unique and more interesting. (the hair, the HAIR!) Director (Christophe Shrewe) did make some interesting choices for blocking and shots in this episode, this particular one just stood out for me. Is it just me or did Rossi look old and tired here? Joe wears the gray/graying hair/beard really well, but he looked pretty haggard here. I did manage to see the preview for next week's episode, and It. Looks. Good. I love coding! Reid coding! Hopefully we'll get a good ghosting of the crime scene again too.
  17. yeah. but the MorganCloning continues. She's a Doctor. Like Savannah. really guys??
  18. written by Erica Messer and Kirsten Vangsness, directed by Simon Mirren. And Reid is finally back! "The BAU team’s investigation into the home invasion and attempted homicide of a police chief’s wife uncovers a world of secrets in a small town in Virginia"
  19. dammit.... missed season 10's Nelson's Sparrow. Another one I would and do watch over and over and.....
  20. It's hard. My favourite episodes were in 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12 and 13... as for episodes I watch over and over: LDSK, Fisher King 1 (season 1) Fisher King 2, Revelations (season 2) Elephant's Memory (season 3) Amplification, Minimal Loss, Instincts, Memoriam, (Season 4) Mr Scratch (season 10) Entropy (season 11) Green Light, Red Light, Spencer, Unforgettable (season 12) Wheels Up (season 13) so far
  21. I have to admit, I laughed when Rossi said he'd called Reid...... pretty much confirming that 'Reid phoned it in'.... lol
  22. I'm worse. I have them all on the harddrive, the external harddrive; I have this season and last on the PVR still, and I have the dvds for all the seasons I do like most of (so, like, missing season 6 lol) AND, I went through season 12 episodes 14-20 and edited together *just* the Reid prison scenes so I could watch them all in succession without the distraction of those silly cases of the week interrupting me :) If my QT viewer could count the number of times I've seen a particular episode the way iTunes counts how many times I've listened to Elms District's Journey On (over 500 now....and that's just since May when I discovered it), it will have torn a muscle by now and rolled its eyes screaming 'Entropy AGAIN?' and/or 'Lemme guess.... Red Light?' even my husband can recite Entropy verbatim now.
  23. the CM twitter and FB were full of 'where's Reid?' // "When's Reid coming back?"// "IS Reid coming back!?" at least Rossi mentioned him. "I called Reid last night and asked him..." (about the skewer through the nose thing) 2. I think she's doing just fine. i think it's a conscious effort (by the writers AND the actress) to NOT be like Hotch. Because she'd get sh!t on for that, too. 3. THAT is something that's bothered me for Years! This is way more realistic. When people work this closely together and for this long, formality is gone except where necessary (in public, among higher ups etc). The familial feelings and camaraderie, the closeness between them lends itself to using each other's first names. Or nicknames. Recently retired spousal unit who was in law enforcement for 20 odd years always called his coworkers by either their first names or a nickname. Even their boss was 'Buck' as opposed to whatever his name is, I don't even know LOL! They address eachother by rank or whatever in front of others, but when working just amongst themselves, they would realistically be calling eachother 'Tara' or 'Matt' or 'Spencer'... Even Emily who is their boss, would probably be called Emily or Em amongst themselves and 'Chief' or 'Agent Prentiss' etc in front of others. 4. aaargh (I think walnutqueen covered that :D )
  24. No no no walnutqueen. That should be AAAAaaarrrrrrrrgh. ?
