  1. sounds like it's time to replay the box, Annber..... our previous one was doing that to me too, it messed up recording <whatever the episode before A Beautiful Disaster was called> ...Then, the next day it recorded an episode of some show nobody in the house even watches. And a week later, it froze, as you describe above, EVERY time I tried to watch A Beautiful Disaster, even though it said it was there. (Fortunately, it reairs later in the week and I caught it then at the time) but I took the pvr box back to our provider, the techie there plugged it in and played with it for a few minutes and said 'yep, it's fried'. I was so mad, I had diligently saved all the season 11 episodes on the pvr up to that point, and there they were, gone....
  2. ::::giving the PVR side eye to make sure it knows it's supposed to record tomorrow:::: hmmmmm.... PVR claims 'Mirror Image' in the 'new' episode spot tomorrow.....(CTV @ 8 pm) better not be! The CBS one @ 10 pm calls for The Bunker though. Both have been manually added now because I don't trust technology. If it is a repeat, I just delete....
  3. You know you're obsessed when you're trying to download a movie and the computer warns you 'disk almost full, please manage'........ so you 'manage' to find that there are more than 30000 screencaptures of Matthew Gray Gubler (mostly Reid, but not all) on the dang computer... <<<<now moving to TimeCapsule>>>> wow, look at all the space available now! :)
  4. Jackson Rathbone's Amanda/Adam. *sniffle* Anton Yelchin's Nathan Harris, although that'd be impossible, his mom perhaps.....
  5. oh man, I didn't count them sorry..... just every time DaxShepherdLookalike needed to talk to/get advice from his friend, it was Matthew.... (maybe, 6-7? ) I 'capped him in each (not all shared here, file's too big) my favourite line in the movie was his, after hearing what a great sexy night DaxLookalike had, his character (pushing a baby stroller) said (paraphrased more or less): "I'm so jealous. You wanna know what I did last night? I read <some kiddy book whose title escapes me>, changed a $#!tty diaper and fell asleep in a chair. At 8 pm" in a two hour movie, total screen time, about five minutes. If that.
  6. downloaded and watched "Newness" today. TBH, the movie's a yawnfest IMO, I didn't care for it at all, except for Matthew's scenes. I found the male lead reminded me too much of Dax Shepherd for whom I do not care at all, and the female lead was just a mediocre at best actress. All the shaky handheld camera was nausea-inducing. Matthew wore his own clothes (and glasses :) ) throughout.
  7. I *get* why they figure they'd lose in the ratings tonight, a championship deciding ball game. (make it hockey, and yeah, I'm there too. but...) I wish we'd get CM reruns though, instead of Seal which I have absolutely no interest in. Hey, CBS, how about airing LDSK!?
  8. I saw it at Spoiler TV and at tvguide online, for two. on twitter as well.
  9. CBS is pulling new eps of both CM and Seal tonight because of the baseball game. (not sure yet what's happening on CTV) but CBS will be airing back to back repeat eps of Seal. (and I guess I can choose which season 1 episode to rewatch tonight if CTV follows CBS' lead)
  10. and for me, it's fun to have my eyes, er, I suppose more accurately, my ears opened to new bands. I've always known about/liked the Rolling Stones of course. I'd never heard of Band of Horses before, but The Funeral is just one of their awesome tunes. And LOL Muse was the exact opposite. I'd always turned my snobby little music nose up against them previously. Heard that song in Broken and loved it, searched it out, realised it was Muse and ate crow. Love them now LOL :) I'd never heard of Elms District (they just recently changed their name too) prior to Red Light but I searched out that song on iTunes and bought it immediately. And played it while driving somewhere with the spouse during the summer. HE loves it too (just not on multi-repeat) and has bought their EP. so, thank you Music Folks at Criminal Minds, you've broadened my musical horizons and appreciations.
  11. deviating from just this episode at this point, but yeah. Besides 'Tears and Rain' in this one: Sympathy for the Devil (Rolling Stones) and The Funeral (Band of Horses) from Revelations (the latter being absolutely spot on perfect for the scene) Madness (Muse) from Broken The Riddle (Five For Fighting) from Fisher King Pt 2 Burden (Foy Vance) from To A Better Place and the absolute best use of a song on the show ever, Journey On (Elms District) from Red Light I'm sure there are more, but those ones are currently driving my family nuts with the constant repetition O:-) in my house. (he shoulda never bought me a speaker for my iPhone......)
  12. wow...... I watched while answering to the trick or treaters. Took the above screen shot because that's where I happened to pause it at a doorbell ring. And I went to file it under 'LDSK Screencaps'..... only to find that I haven't yet screen capped this episode. WTH!? guess I know what I'm doing next.
  13. okay okay...this thread has triggered me. <<<now watching "LDSK" the HeHoo version>>>
  14. so many good lines & bits in this one, actually... "A Dalmatian could do it!" // "I was aiming for his leg" and the unsub "Knock yourself out" with that look of anticipatory glee on his face :D
  15. yeah LDSK is awesome... and this is one episode where I put my son on a mission. The DVD version, for some reason (and given its history, Atlantic Records probably gave CBS/ABCStudios/MarkGordon/whoever a hard time over using one of their artists, they've done it before ), uses a different song right at the end as Reid tosses that stupid whistle back at Morgan. I don't even know what it is now, but I just knew it was different from the aired on tv version. And nowhere near as relevant or effective. I recorded LDSK off A&E about a year ago and asked my son if there was some way to move it from the PVR to my computer because when it aired, it was back to the original version, using the song "Tears and Rain" by James Blunt at the end. HeHoo accomplished this for me (of course he did, he's an angel that way, he even cut out the commercials), so I have a lovely mp4 version of the episode with that perfectly intact and totally spot on song choice now. When i go to watch that episode, I watch THIS version, not the dvd :). CM has a great record of using some absolutely fabulous and relevant songs in their episodes. I have an entire playlist, LOL, of "CM music" that consists of these beauties. LDSK features several of the things I so love about CM (besides the obvious Reid) I love when then they have one of the crime scene photos (just the setting, not so much a victim) and someone's holding the photo and the shot dissolves into the next scene using that photo, where that photo now becomes the scene where the team is investigating. LDSK does that, I believe it's Gideon holding the photo of the park in his hand and the camera closes in on the photo, and then goes 'live' to that scene in the park where the team has assembled with the local L-E . Although they don't do the ghosting through the scene in this one per se, they do reenact the entire incident which I really enjoyed too. They employ the misdirect as well; I really thought it could've been that over the top arrogant s-o-b doctor the first time I saw this one. Just a really, really well done episode. .......you kick like a nine year old girl heeeheee
  16. I rewatch all the time, although admittedly, usually just my favourite episodes though there are several in season 1 :)
  17. somebody asked for a collage :) here you are!
  18. I don't 'hate' Garcia or JJ. What I do/did dislike about JJ was the SuperDuperBetterThanEveryoneElseProfiler she suddenly became and how *everything* was always about her for a season and change. I believe some people felt there was a whole lotta MarySue-ing going on with her and I tend to agree. I *like* that she has a family that matters to her outside work. But I hated the way she treated Reid-- purportedly her 'best friend' -- back in the Forever People days, but we've talked that to death already. And she's much better now, the last season or so. Garcia, OTOH, is just overdone now, IMO. I adore the quirkiness of her. The need for cute kitty photos to assuage the gory stuff, I get it. The little pandas and trolls on her desk, I get it. The feeling that the other BAU members are her family, I get it. I love that she loves Reid and JJ and Prentiss. I love that she took on Emily's cat when Emily first left. But I think they've let her go *overboard* with the kitten ears and the too-high clunky heels and the reaction to gore. And I loved that in Lucky Strikes, she wanted to have everyone over to 'the homecave' to live life to the fullest, and pursue 'responsible intoxication' etc. *THAT* is the Garcia that I love.
  19. my Vegas shirt. it looks better on AJ anyway :) (named after Andrew Jackson, not AJ Cook)
  20. that was kinda dumb IMO. IIRC, when Morgan left, Hotch offered that office to both Reid and JJ and they passed. (my memory's kinda dim as to the exact particulars, but it was mentioned in passing, in a conversation. There was no actual 'scene' in which this occurred) Hotch then said something about passing the office on to <some department whose name escapes me at the moment>. I think this happened in 'Tribute', the Emily guest stars episode that aired the week after ShemarMoore left. Which I really didn't like much so I've only seen it once.
  21. yeah, I hear you... I have no doubt that Kirsten Vangsness is a sweet lady and a fun co star and I respect and like the lady. But Garcia is really starting to grate on my nerves. She needs to be more like the Garcia of the last few minutes of the episode (the realisation with the ME's report, and even, in smaller doses, the bringing together of her BAU family (for responsible intoxication LOL, I did like that) but the Baby Girl stuff... Please. This woman is in her 40s now. Stop already.
  22. Reid-O-Meter: a 4 or 5 Rossi: a 10; he was awesome. story: pretty good I suppose for a CM story, couple twists and Jamie Kennedy is fabulous as a bad guy the special guest appearance: honestly? slightly better than last time but...........
  23. just got mine in the mail today :). Not bad, international shipping and all! :)
