  1. Where did he mention it? I went through his Twitter and can't see anything. I honesly have no idea what the shot in question is, nor do I really care all that much. Maybe the chair fight? It didn't seem particularly long. Could it be in the second episode since the filming of the first two overlapped?
  2. What do you mean however? This is how it is.
  3. Zach? Sure, Seth was cute, but Dave was the cutest.
  4. I like cherchersketch's better to be honest. Lord Mesa's is cute, but Felicity is not Dory. I see more of a parallel with Thea there, what with forgetting hating lies or that her brother has saved her butt uncountable times.
  5. What were ratings for the premieres last three years?
  6. If I may just say, that is not a good colour for concealment.
  7. Why would she need to be the Black Canary? She can still be White Canary on Arrow if LoT tanks, can't she? Laurel said last Canary, not last Black Canary.
  8. I remembered another cute beat. Curtis referring to Wild Dog as Mister Dog. Hee.
  9. As I was watching, I appreciated the fact that Oliver shared this with Felicity at some point between April and now.
  10. I guess they assume he's hooking up like he lead Moira to believe in S1. Coming to that conclusion, I'm also less annoyed by Pike's blonde or redhead comment at the start of the episode. My first reaction was, what the hell, man. This dude was in a very public monogamous and committed relationship. I also doubt that he's been showing up to places with various dates over the summer. But taking his disappearing acts into consideration, this is a logical conclusion. One even Oliver might encourage. Okay, so Oliver is a Greek mythology enthusiast? He read The Odyssey and he knew stuff in this episode. Was Oliver supposed to become an Ancient Civilizations college professor? Is this his true calling?
  11. @Mellowyellow, you know you can edit your posts? It's the little pencil icon on the left under your post.
  12. If she does, Constantine should show up to exorcise her. Silver lining.
  13. Just when I think they can't do worse on her, they prove me wrong. I'm thinking SC general is loaded up on primo drugs, though. No wonder their shipments used to get held up so often. That stuff has to be more potent than Vertigo. Additionally, this is another one that goes in my Oliver-offed-Laurel column. She was threatening with stalking him from the great beyond! Sadly, it doesn't seem to have worked, since it's been six months since her words of stalkerdom and Oliver has not only not found another Canary, but has been opposed to the concept before getting pushed and prodded by Felicity and Dig. Which is how things have always been on the show, so it's fine by me.
  14. The episode was okay all in all. If there is one thing that did annoy me, it's Oliver snapping the crooked cop's neck. The chair stunt was wicked cool, but it felt like it was done because of the cool factor and call back to the pilot, not because it makes sense for the character. Shocking for this show, I know. I was more okay with Oliver popping the other guys, this first one felt overboard. Points for getting himself separated from other hostages. Negative points for the lame 'he's tied up' remark. Stop outing your secret identity, dude. It feels weird to say after all this time, but yay for flashbacks. Anatoly did not disappoint. But what's with the '5 years ago' title card? I don't remember that ever being used on the show. Shit, Felicity is losing it, isn't she? I'm not talking about the (weirldy squeaky sounding) boyfriend, but about the part where she walks in and leaves the door wide open. What the hell? Also, what's wrong with this cop that he doesn't lock the front door? Also also, what's Felicity's reason for showing up pretty late apparently? If she were CEO, that's a built-in excuse, now, I don't get it. I really liked Wild Dog's introduction and the fact that he's been a thorn in Oliver's side for a while. I can get behind this sort of interaction. I was also a fan of pissy Oliver with Thea at the beginning of the episode. Me either. I was not that impressed by Thea at all. Twiddling her thumbs while Oliver and three other people needed rescuing is not endearing. I approve that despite the reviews extorting on her "running" the mayor's office, it's actually mostly publicity that she seems competent in. This makes sense for her character, not running things in general after learning how uneducated she actually is in politics last season. Curtis wasn't that noticeable, but I liked his presence in the episode, he fit in nicely. I really dug their scenes and completely agree that Lance is a shoe in for the spot. It could work really well. He's got the experience with this line of work that Oliver lacks. Finally, way little Diggle, but I think it actually works here because the text made his absence felt. There was Oliver trying to reach him earlier and him and Felicity sharing a moment over Dig, so not showing him earlier felt like it had a point.
  15. My favorite GG recurring character, Dave Rygalski has just showed up. Which is a good thing, since his first episode really hits on the note that had come to bug me as the show went on. Namely, Lorelai and Rory being practically extensions of each other. They both simultaneously freaked out over the traps of getting into Ivy League and then Rory's approaching leaving home. Both are perfectly fine reactions, don't get me wrong, it's just too much for me that they're so synchronized. But once again, Dave! Yay. That's probably my favorite role of Adam Brody's.
  16. I am proud to say I went radio silent on spoilers before the premiere. I think I like it. I'm posting this here since I don't think Chechnya was mentioned in the episode, but the area on the map is NOT close to it. It's possible that DR just that out of thin air. More likely, production isn't good at geography.
  17. I don't like the new house decor. That's really the only spoilery thing in this. Man, did Alexis Bledel grow up gorgeous.
  18. Thanks. I'm kind of distracted by the photo above, trying to decide whose lipstick I like better, CP's or EBR's. I just can't pick a favorite, they're both so great.
  19. Would it make sense for Felicity to be in a wheelchair in Flash 302? We know she's standing in Arrow 501. I'm asking here because my impression was that the FP reprecussions will be revealed on screen, not that things will keep changing directly because of it in the future. If she is by some chance, it's got to be a temporary computer glitch in the implant. She's standing again in 502.
  20. That's really intricate work on that dress. Everything looks great.
  21. Murdoch Mysteries is on on weekend mornings here, but I haven't actually watched it. The main actor looked familiar, though, and your discussion lead me to looking him up. I know him from the masterpiece that is I Do (But I Don't), in which Denise Richards is a wedding planner going through a divorce and Dean Cain is her love interest. Yannick Bisson plays his assy younger brother. I am chortling over here realizing (probably for the second time) that Lorelai getting together with Christopher when they were (nominally) adults was at times when she and Luke were at the outs. I remembered the disasterous second time, but forgot that the first time when they hooked up before Sookie and Jackson's wedding was after Lorelai's falling out with Luke over Jess. Also, how did these two ever make Rory? Those are some of the most sexless on screen kisses that I've seen. Nice going on Christopher having the moves of an inexperiences 15-year-old. Kind of makes it understandable why Lorelai falls for it, since it's most likely the same as it was in high school. Ups the nostalgia factor.
  22. Nice. They included one of my favorite stunts with Oliver flipping Felicity and himself over the railing. The ending is also nicely in tune with the music.
  23. She's not. The dress in the screenshot is cut a lot lower.
  24. Like I needed the reminder how much I miss Walter. Thanks, Colin Salmon, thanks a lot.
