Intelectually, I get a lot about that final sequence. It connects Oliver to both his parents. Chase duplicates the situation Robert was in 10 years ago, does he put his son before everything and everyone else? The flashback to his first call to Moira contrasts him as son and father. And while I agree with absolutely everyone on the praise rightfully heaped on ST, SA really did great as well. I loved how his voice changed and it felt like pre-island Oliver going to his mom for comfort because that's what he slipped into upon hearing her voice after so long. Excellent and touching. Saying all that, it failed for me emotionally, because you know what, Robert and Moira were actual parents to Oliver. Apart from the biological aspect, that's not the case here. So instead of taking all this stuff in emotionally, I'm left snickering at Chase's jab about the devoted absentee father.

On the plus side, there's still supposed to be stuff from the S4 photoshoot. They can keep trickling that out into season 7.

You know, that's one piece of retcon on this show that I can buy. Malcolm is able to convince himself of a lot of things. See planning to mow down an entire part of the city and killing whoever on the way is actually an act of humanitarianism. So, I have no trouble buying that he manage to swindle himself to believe he's always been this devoted father to Thea. Do Oliver and Thea even know when Malcolm found out about her, or did that knowledge die with Moira? Oh, good guess about the ARGUS bunker. The Data quip was so weird after Malcolm apparently died. I know it's Malcolm, but someone still died, Curtis! Maybe Slade can diagnose whatever's wrong with him over the hiatus. Digger disappeared with Talia, Slade taunted Evelyn about them leaving her behind. Thank you. I started giving her the side eye then. This is what the mother of the century focuses on when she's been separated from her son for possibly weeks? He did when Chase was blathering on about it in the boat. It was along the lines of, My friends can handle themselves. Which is really what I think the whole kidnapping deal from the last episode should have focused on, on the one hand there's a group of capable, trained adults who all knowingly chose the life they lead. On the other, there's a dumb kid who only got caught because of his biological connection to Oliver.

That's true. My first thought, however, was - they really, really like sister swapping to be implying it here.

The hand bit definitely makes me think Malcolm. Although he could also be giving Nyssa a hand going by that preview. In fact, if Malcolm is dying, I think there could be merit to doing it for Nyssa. He's one of many that has fucked her over, so it could be his redemption, and it wouldn't be hanging over Thea's head that both her biological parents literally died for her.

For what it's worth, I still rate S1 as the best season finale. Oh. Em. Gee. Finally. [/sarcasm]

Does ARGUS not provide shoes or is Slade too tough to be wearing them? There are many illogical things about the Slade/Oliver scene, but the actors have a very good vibe between them which pulls it into something good.

I had no idea, but I'm glad he's recuperating. For those of you who mentioned using coffee grounds to fertilize your plants, how often do you add new coffee? Also, do you use your grounds for other purposes? While checking out the plant thing, I also found they can be used to absorb smells in the fridge, to clean burnt pots and pans, and for facial and body scrubs. And thinking about it, all those things make sense.

EBR chopped off her hair between S3 and S4. I guess it depends on where they leave the vharacters. Felicity was cruising with Oliver at the end of S3, so there's nothing strange about changing up your style a bit. If the character is left hanging in some way, a kicky new hairdo would be hard to explain, so I imagine that would call for some extensions. I don't think it would be a big deal. WH got a completely new hairstyle before S3, and all there was on screen was Roy complimenting Thea.

This is gonna give the make up department some extra work this season. Condisering how they botched covering up Carly Pope's tattoo it might make for a fun game.

He expressly stated WH is a regular next season.

And I didn't even go into things like the doctor assisting in surgeries that resulted in deaths of camp prisoners, which is why his wife left him, and now specializing in treating "hysterical" women with electroshocks. He also kindly tries to treat the guy husband from homosexuality the same way. I'm pretty certain he's honestly certifiable. He's laughing like a complete lunatic towards the end of the show.
