I think all it means is that the cake is store bought and therefore good. The cupcakes on the other hand are Felicity's effort and they suck. But they look nice.

I was excited to see Kathleen Quinlan cast in the role of their mother, but I truly remeber her acting being horrible. It's not just that she was playing a bad person (which fine, whatever, literally everyone and their mother is on this show), it's that she did a bad job of it.

This has been my overall impression so far. You've only got nine episodes, they should be tight! I'm just feeling like I'm twiddling my thumbs here until the finale or possibly the last two episodes when things will finally start moving. Michael's flashbacks also got me to thinking that they're not using Mike Jr. correctly either. Jacob's further motivation for inserting himself into Sara's life could be her child. He could be suspecting him to be the same type of genius that Michael is and Christina was. I know the show is still playing coy with Jacob's character, but they could have shown him encouraging Mike in developing his skills. Show him like an involved stepdad solving some complex puzzles or something, only to later reveal it was him assessing the kid's capacity and/or training him for the future. They are going in the direction of Lincoln/Sheba. ? I just can't help thinking that she deserves better than a dude whose brother sacrificed himself for his sake only to end up back to being a common street thug afew years after he had a decent life in the sun. That part is apparently still true, since Sara mentioned Panama and Linc's shop in the first episode. They have to play a part in later stages of Michael's plan. He specifically mentioned Ja's big beautiful brain when he isn't high. And Whip... I don't know if he's just security or if Michael sees him as a bigger asset. As for C-Note, I just think it wasn't cost-effective to pay Rockmond Dunbar to just talk on the phone to Linc, when Sheba accomplished the same while simultaneously paving the way for her and Linc getting together.

When asked whether Felicity made the cake and cupcakes, he specifically answers that she bought the cake and it's awesome. So she made the cupcakes which is simply squee inducing. I wonder whether anyone but Oliver even dares to try them. I also just noticed that Curtis is holding frozen peas against his neck after Oliver attacks him. Felicity is really sticking to her color scheme here. ? That answer about PB and KC's scenes made me laugh so hard.

How and why would SCPD have Robert's DNA? He's been dead and buried on the isla d for a decade. I welcome all theories. I'm beginning to think EK and JH were playing Flip the Script in the car, and that's the take that ended up in the episode. I know it's not true, but it makes no less sense than both characters saying lines that should roghtly go to the other person. Put their conversation about Sampson the other way around and it suddenly makes sense.

I came across a totally scary fic in which Samantha dies and Oliver and Felicity take William. ? Nooooo. so, now I'm like, protect Samantha at all costs. Maybe the phonecall Oliver gets in the promo is William calling. Are you my Daddy? I'm having fun playing Wilhelm Tell here with this girl, Evelyn. Hold on, I've gotta put the apple in my mouth now.

I didn't really notice it during the episode, but that's hella funny.

I know serious shit is about to go down, but those birthday party scenes look like they will be fun. Particularly since I felt robbed of the drinks the team was going to get after catching Chase.
