(1) Particularly if you take into account the fact that Edwina was the ultimate bookworm and was tucked away with a book from "that Austen woman" while she was recovering from her cold. She knew. She was probably chomping at the bits to see this scenario happening right before her eyes. (2) I wonder who he'll memtion this too. No inner monologue in this format. Could be Daphne during the house party to give her something to do, so she can laugh herself silly when it switches. Another thing that's external that I would like to see is Anthony mowing people down to get to Kate at a party ehere they arrived seperately after they were married. After making himself stay out of the house during the day. The putz. (3) Hopefully not at all or at the bare minimum.

I think this could be really good, but as I said, it's all up in the air now and could be casting calls for any number of shows. So I don't want to get anyone's hopes up.

Yeah, I don't get it either. Now if he abandons and neglects his kids, that's a different matter.

We don't know how far into the future Daphne giving birth was. There's no reason not to incorporate her pregnancy into season 2 and have Simon deal with some of the more interesting issues posters here have mentioned, like how his mother's death at his delivery could have been just cause for him not wanting to have kids. I agree about his father's letters. I don't really have any idea now for Daphne. I think very shortly after this season dropped there was some chatter about Netflix sending out casting notices for two female characters in their early 20s or thereabouts, one of them being Indian, the other half-Indian. Some fans on Instagram thought this might be for Kate and Edwina.

I think she included all future possible children. There's no way Portia could have known how many babies Marina was carrying.

Definitely. I don't think people who've only watched season 1 can imagine Anthony purposefully making an ass of himself in front of his family just for the fun of it. They'd be wise to introduce Benedict's mystery woman this season, especially since they brought Sir Phillip in so early.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating, this show's promotion is on point.

Nicola is a total doll and her eyes look down right stunning in some of the shots on Derry Girls. I don't know if it's the blond hair, the lighting or what. It's funny what you say about Francesca's book, because I remember positive review. I'll be curious to learn what you think of it.

They definitely did. I remember Christmas decorations in the shop window where they showed a bit of broadcast from the Clintons' visit, but when I went looking for that, I came across this instead and it's the first time I've noticed American flags on the Quinns' Christmas tree. Hee.

Probably he or his mother gave them permission to use the footage since he was one of the interviewees. For some reason that really surprised me. I know Earl gets a bad rep and deservedly so IMO, but Tida looks scary as shit. I don't follow him at all, but the difference in him on camera after that last come back was jarring. In all the earlier appearances he seemed disturbingly shut off, like you could see no engagement in his eyes. The little robot that could is what he looked like. Him cutting off his personal relationships with a clean cut supports this. Earl and Tida more likely than not made him write that letter to his college girlfriend, but then there were the childhood friend and long time caddy. That we know of. And then after the arrest and rehab it was whoa, look at him joking around on the course. And he seemed much more present and open in his on camera interviews. I don't really think this documentary was the best, but then again, as that family friend said, Tiger is just human, whatever else Earl wanted him to be. The cheating was bad and I remember shocking when it came out, but after all the shit we've seen since, it's basically meh. Don't get me wrong, it made him a terrible husband, but as Bryant Gumbel, I think, put it, it was a private matter between him and his wife.

This comes down to directing and editing. And they failed here.

I don't mind that they adressed it, but I don't think just the timeline of Charlotte's time on the throne is enough for full integration and acceptance. IMO there needed to be something preceeding it to set the stage for dukes and... well, I'm not really sure what title Lady Danburry's husband had.

I went to check because you raise an interesting point. The credited writer for this episode on IMDb is Joy C. Mitchell. And in fact, there were five female writers plus Chris Van Dusen, the show creator, on the writing staff.

Nope, that wasn't in the book at all. I actually thought Will or some character like him could have been in the book, because it seems so romance novel-y for the hero to go to someone to kick him about to forget his sads, but ot turned out not so in this case. Yeah, Pen has that money after being in business for over 10 years. At this point she may be breaking even. But you're right, that could be one of the reasons behind this choice.

I like her looks more and more as time goes, even though the bangs kill me. Violet, who do you hate, Daphne or me? But I just can’t get over her snooze worthy personality.
