You know, I think Jenna is pretty over the top but I see Kelli and Judy asking her to stay on. She's very pretty, young, has always been in excellent shape, strong performer and seems very popular with the menfolk on social media. She's also a woman of color and that seems to be an area of struggle for the DCC. She's popular with the other ladies too, isn't she? Thirsty is thirsty, but I get keeping her on the squad as long as they can. Is she 23 now?

The only way I could dislike these outfits more is if one of them managed to also have a cold shoulder. Which I know is impossible since their shoulders are already cold and naked but I can't stand cold shoulders with a fiery passion. HATE. Moni - glad to see you back, girl. Catch me up on your quilting progress. And all of us up if you've updated the bathroom at all.

Seriously though, I think this particular thing is fine, and if she paired it with "Lose Yourself" then that would be amaze balls. She probably had the hoodie off for the solo anyway.

I agree. No Yuko hater (I'm pretty neutral) but she definitely fell out of her turn and wasn't on the beat. I think she's very cute and see her appeal, but not her best showing. Looked like a decent solo but IMO the field should count way more.

Oh, for sure. But are there any dance jobs that pay well? I genuinely don't know. I imagine the DWTS crew who gain endorsements have decent bank, and maybe a prima ballerina or Broadway stars, but I always pictured it as starving artists doing it for the love of the craft. Such as shaking your booty with Pom Poms can be. The beauty thing about being young is that it's not nearly as much torture to live lean as it is when you're older and want more creature comforts too. I think for ladies like Melissa, Amy T and Cersten (and whoever else has medical aspirations or background) they know the body is on limited time but their brains are not. So if Cersten is still working on her MCATs and building her resume before applying to med school another year of DCC won't hurt her, and might expose her to a lot of opportunities. I wonder what internships or part time work she's been doing to stay current. I did some work with Scottish Rite in grad school and loved following Melissa's career path there (if my old lady brain is working...maybe she did work with the Children's Hospital?) while a DCC, so I wonder if something Cersten got exposed to this year tweaked her interests in a different way. Lemme go stalk LinkedIn. lol.

I never took it that way...I always feel like Kitty likes to push buttons to see how they react and what their intentions may be. And she wants to weed out the Minchews of the world that will bail when there's a conflict. And I do suppose it's like any employer...you invest in an employee, and in a perfect world want to retain that great employee as long as possible. Cersten seemed to handle it with grace, IMO.

So many reasons I'm thankful all the ladies look the same during their field try outs. Same outfit, same choreography. Some dancers choose choreography poorly, or hire someone who lets them do shit they can't do (TM Kitty) or wear a dumb costume. We've seen over the seasons multiple times where a poor soloist shines on the field and vice versa. Thankfully the judges panel (esp K, J and C) seem able enough to find the diamonds. Honestly I think the solo part is a preaudition for Show Group to see who has technique. And hopefully a sneak peek at personality outside of the interview.

Oh gosh, I just love Jinelle. I think her big heart seems to show through, and I think she has a lovely smile and demeanor. By all accounts she seems to be very into healthy foods and taking care of herself, and you combine that with a kick of great genetics and you've got a lean figure. Not your typical DCC glamour girl, but I personally prefer her look over Holly (so much makeup!) and some of the other more popular DCC. One of the reasons I think they try to round out the look of the women on the team...we all like something different! I tend to prefer the "thicker" girls but I've always adored Jinelle anyway.

And if you're looking slim next to Jinelle and Erica I'd say you're pretty damn small. They tend to make even the fittest of women look like chunks.

@HowdeeDo - I'm the one that keeps "liking" them. Lol. Girl these people are bananas. I try to understand how the superfans of FB that are clearly emotionally invested don't also watch the show and get the process. I get not committing to the crazy of forums, but if you're driven to tears by a cheerleader retiring than one could reasonably think that they'd DVR Making the Team every now and again.

Are you the Holly H that keeps setting them straight? I remember seeing a screen grab on here and that she's one of us, but I couldn't remember who. Either way, keep on fighting the good fight. The hysteria is really funny. Some of my favorites are retiring too, but life will indeed go on. AND wtf people, some of these people have life goals that require them moving the eff on.

Wow. Worst week ever. I'm so terribly sorry. Your thoughtful posts and kind nature will be missed for sure. Hopefully we will see you back in a short time, healthy as can be.

Hey girl, it costs a lot of money to look that cheap. Seriously tho, this outfit seems very Plano cougar to me. I can't picture it on anyone less than 45, while still thinking it's not age appropriate. If that makes any sense. Judy's hair...sigh.

Pretty sure it was boyfriend. I just wished her well on Instagram...loved Mandy! Sugar sweet and she just seemed like such a grown up. Love that she's pursuing her dreams and getting back to what brings her the most joy, if that's what she's doing. And I'm not mad if she just wanted a trip to Bimini with her new friends before she headed out. If she was on the fence better to go than not go. She wouldn't be the first.

Mandy was my favorite for so many reasons. IIRC, she relocated to Dallas with her boyfriend, so maybe things didn't pan out there. Plus her studio, and she's in her late 20's. And as much as I love many things about Texas, the weather and culture aren't a great fit for everyone. All these dang tornadoes and hail storms...she might just be missing the west coast too. I'm bummed...she is so pretty and seems like a lovely person to boot. Boo.

I don't recall any of Tasha's pics to be risqué (and I even chanced a pink explosion to go look) but I imagine the standard would be a bit different for a married mom being sexy with her husband vs. a 20 year old rookie all up on some random. Within reason, of course. I thought her modeling shots with the hubs were cheesy but I enjoy a trashy romance novel enough to appreciate how it got there. Double standards suck, but public figures are what they are and it's still the conservative South.

I love that y'all had the conversation about it tho! And you got advice! Too funny. I had my first drug test last week since 2003 and was worried because I'd had surgery a week prior. I was like ummmm do I need a doctor's note? That said, I lived in Washington state for a while and always wanted to try some edibles, but knew the second I did I'd get popped for a drug test. I thought it was out of your system fast, unless they did a hair test. Hope your cleanse works!

I think it's pretty screwed up if you get injured on DCC's time and aren't put on injured reserve while you heal, so to speak. It super sucks when it's during auditions but I appreciate the rights of management to keep those with proven history with the team on as they recover, especially if they're projected to be back to 100% within the season. I thought Cassie was questionable her rookie year during auditions, but she seemed to be just fine once she got some age and experience on her. The best, probably not, but she was competitive and her tumbling had some value for show group. I liked that we saw some bitchy sides to her too - no team with that many people are sunshine and bunnies 24/7. 13 episodes? Yay!

I wonder with the poor fit and placement of the cut outs, she was flashing her bra when she was seated. Was it 5 yr Jessica that had a practically cut out back on her admittedly very pretty dress? Just not the right occasion. The ladies may show some serious skin during the game, but Dallas is still pretty conservative when it comes to dressing. We aren't Vegas for sure. Maybe they need that Belk's wear this, not that refresher this year ??

I have a renovated 4 bedroom, three bath house with a pool hitting the market in a couple weeks in Plano if you need a house! It's not as cheap as it once was in Dallas, though certainly more affordable than many other metro areas. We have some great communities too, depending on what you enjoy. Great neighborhoods like Kessler Park and Bishop Arts, Uptown if you're more into the scene, Casa Linda and Lakewood by White Rock Lake are great too! And the suburbs aren't too shabby either - Plano and Frisco are growing like crazy. Toyota is moving their headquarters here, along with several other companies. The corridor from Frito Lay to The Star has gone bananas. Fort Worth is super charming too ? I also really like Austin and San Antonio. Just depends on what you want! Waco is NOT as awesome as it appears on Fixer Upper, btw.
