Do any of y’all do the NYT Mini Crossword daily? I have a group text with my bestie, our moms, my aunt and her daughter where we share our Wordle results and the mini. I try to just downvote the ridiculous posts on Reddit and engage with the better ones. It’s a great system when it’s used as intended. I like both options since there’s a variety of peeps who follow the older DCCs and post wedding pictures and life updates.

I wasn’t really a big fan in the early days, because WOW her social media was just…no thank you. I didn’t love the comments about her physical appearance, tho, because that’s just not necessary. She has a different look than some but overall is super cute. Plus, she’s an amazing dancer. I know her skills on the dance floor won me over quickly, especially since she had seemed to gain some self awareness about her social media presence. There’s always going to be a part of me that wishes the DCC was 21+ because of the show. For one, it’s awkward AF for all the old men perving on a teenager in a sexy costume, but also to give them a few more years of development to handle the spotlight. When they act like the mentally developing teenagers that they are, having it stuck forever on camera and then broadcast to the world can’t be easy. And that’s unfortunately the price paid for chasing this particular dream and dance job. I enjoyed the show but fully acknowledge that part sucks. Not all of the 18-19 year olds seemed to have issues, but for every Lacey or Maddie there’s probably three Holly, Caila, Marissa, Taylor, etc. I’m beyond thankful those years for me were just before social media took off.

Sure, it’s a great source for food for many, and here in Missouri, I know it helps with over population. But you can see where it’s off-putting for many to scroll through and see a beaming smile next to a dead animal, yes? And I say this from my parent’s rural home where I’ve already seen six deer this morning and there’s plenty of meat in the freezer. It’s never going to not be weird to me to scroll through an instagram full of sparkles, dancing and BAM look what I just killed. At any rate, congrats to the ones that made the team! I know we’re all missing the show.

Overall I totally agree with you, but I think they're just echoing back what she had said in her own post and trying to be encouraging in their own way. Back in the MBTV days someone here would have called out that God was probably in the tub, and He doesn't have time to worry about poms and short shorts. lol. Perspective, some of these gals def don't have any! Whatever brings comfort in a tough situation, I suppose.

I'm not entirely convinced that website is done by Kalyssa - the photography is good, but it doesn't read like a media package would for photo shoots, social media tie-ins, etc. Some random creeper could have tossed that site together in ten minutes with a google image search and Wordpress. That said, if she is the driver of that site, she's doing it wrong. The text needs to be corrected and edited at the minimum. Nothing wrong with going the glamour/nude photo shoot route, and heaven knows plenty of women are making a ton of money on social media, but this isn't what I typically see when reviewing media/affiliate opportunities.

I absolutely agree with you, but to be fair, I've seen some reeeeeeeal weak dancers on Pro Bowl footage. Sometimes their choreo is truly bad tho, and it's some DCC magic to make it look okay. Kelli's rudeness is ridiculous and petty tho.

I had bought the season while it was airing, but by the time that episode was released five hours later, I had already read the forum and knew I would be too mad to watch. So I didn't. I forgot about it while I was streaming Pluto int he background this week, so saw the Brennan/Lily/Hannah cuts for the first time and was just so, so annoyed. Tho somewhat less annoyed somehow than when I also saw this week the episode that Jalyn got cut from show group and they were super pissy that she managed to smile through it yet took a moment to herself in the restroom to gain composure before rehearsal. Like hey, she just got fired from a job she really loved, let her take a moment without yelling at her that she's "toxic." She just wanted to cry in peace.

I'm just relieved the commercials have started to get better. I tend to run Pluto for background noise when I'm doing other things, and they used to be positively MADDENING. We aren't in an election cycle now, huge help, but good grief they were so bad. I mean, not bad enough for me to turn on Apple TV and just stream the seasons I've bought. lol. I need to google to see if there's a setting for "play the whole season at once and don't make me touch the remote every 40 minutes, please."

Walking around by The Star really is fun too. I didn't realize how much they'd put into it, I was just meeting a friend at Mi Cocina for some brisket tacos. Lots of Cowboys history, and the field where Amber had her proposal is right there in the open. It's a cool area for any football fan IMO, even if you aren't a Cowboys fan in particular. ETA: @JarlenaFan2023 - I've had really good luck with an app called Hotel Tonight that some of my pilot friends told me about. You can use it in advance, too, but sometimes you can get a luxury hotel on the cheap. Curious if the Anatole is an option! Tons of hotels between Love and The Star, though!

Flying into Love vs DFW definitely changes things! You’ll be able to take the Tollway right up to the Star, depending on traffic, and truly it’s not out of your way to Atoka (Tollway to 121 to 75/69.) It could be 20 minutes to an hour plus. It’s not far, but traffic stinks. There are a ton of hotels through that corridor, especially by the Galleria, Addison, Plano up through Frisco. It’s easy to get downtown from Love as well if you wanted to stay at the Anatole. See the grassy knoll, go to that Neiman Marcus or the one at Northpark, Highland Park village has a lot of great restaurants too. I’ve driven through Atoka a zillion times, glad to know about Reba’s restaurant!

You could filter but city, but Dallas was definitely one of the most tracked. Didn’t hurt that Dallas is a reality show hotbed. Without even trying I think I know 15 people that were on the Bachelor or dated someone who had been. And then of course a Bachelor contestant (“winner”, I think?) married the guy who started The Dirty. Lol. For every amusing post, tho, there were 50 hateful and misogynistic ones tho. Probably more. And then the guy who kept saying how not hot these girls were wasn’t exactly a big prize.

Have the show on as background right now, Season 7 I think? I really do think they need to edit out the details of Carla Ann’s cut. She was clearly a victim of revenge porn, and they can allude to it without the blurred photo and details. Revenge porn is an actual crime in many places and it just feels off to me the way it’s shown. She doesn’t have anything to be ashamed of - she made a choice that countless others have made, with terrible results, but it’s been more than a decade later and it’s just broadcasted over and over again. I would have to think a coworker or church friend or whoever might come across it and throw it back in her face. Most wouldn’t, but y’all know some will. If it was an Only Fans or FB photo she had put out herself, I’d probably feel differently. I just feel bad for her.

I was in the wackadoodle FB group for a minute but I'm with you, @StepKickClunk - just could not with the creepiness. I'll take mean girl cattiness over a bunch of creepy dudes all day long. There are quite a few of us both here and Reddit, and I do enjoy both spaces for what they offer. A lot of the weird posters get downvoted, so half the time you won't see their posts anyway, which is great. And I love the clips from the games, and those who follow the girls on Insta. I think some of the peeps that used to give more regular social media updates here have just moved that direction. Works for me, I can kill time while procrastinating either location. lol.

I need to rewatch her season, but I thought Taylor was a good camp candidate. Very cute facially, great figure (even if she wasn’t confident in her smaller chest…that’s gotten more common in later years as they keep going leaner,) solid dance experience but needing polishing. Her immaturity got her the boot, tho maybe they did drag it out longer for the drama. Carla was a tough one, why embarrass her like that? No one needed to know her ex was spreading revenge porn ☹️

Haha yes! I found this site in its original form back in college, bc I was looking for a recap of Felicity…which came on right after Dawson’s Creek. Lol. Oh man that was 2001 or 2002? FML I’m old. Bless. These days this show tends to be the only thing I do on this site, but I read so many show recaps back in the day! Living in Dallas I always had a former sorority sister or friend or friend of a friend on a reality show at any given time. Usually The Bachelor, but sometimes a DCC too. Always fun hearing the gossip and seeing other points of view.

I think it's just a depth/perception thing since it doesn't look super big compared to the cream cheese IMO, but I honetly wouldn't be surprised if she had a duck egg or maybe just a source of really big eggs? Backyard chickens are HUGE in Dallas, so she might have had a friend, neighbor or a source at the Farmer's Market that has a chicken breed with big old eggs. I have a friend with backyard chickens that I helped show at the State Fair one year, which is both one of the weirdest and coolest thing I've ever done. I had NO IDEA there were so many types of chickens. Side note - Nicole will post on her stories occasionally some boxes of produce her dad will send from their family home in Idaho, and it's hysterical. Like fresh from the garden, still with dirt. If it fits, it ships! I remember talking to her about it a year or so ago bc I also have family in Idaho.

I get mad all over again when Seattle Miranda’s tryout is on Pluto. She is such a fantastic dancer and would have been an amazing ambassador. She was a great performer on the Seagals and has a great career too. No idea why she didn’t get into camp.

Veronica was a bit off her game that last camp, both in her weight and some dance mistakes, but if TPTB are going to give her grace, they don’t need to talk trash about her. Either cut her and move on, or give her warnings and help if she’s important to you, then shut the F up about it. Snide commentary definitely wasn’t necessary. I’m definitely glad they kept her and helped her get back into shape, but damn. Kelli didn’t need to speak about her that way.

Dallas had passed an ordinance a few years ago that there would be a plastic bag surcharge…was going well, I thought, but IIRC it got overturned at the state level. Other Texas cities like Austin, Laredo and some others have tried to go that route too. This was a major topic of conversation at a lunch I attended yesterday, lots of people ANGRY they had to pay for a bag. I lived in Seattle for a while and just got in the habit of carrying a foldable one. For a big grocery shop, so easy to bring your own and I love the ones that keep things cold. I get wanting a free bathroom trash liner or using it for kitty litter tho. Tik Tok dances in public spaces are so awkward tho, damn.
