Katelyn's kicks were actually amazing, right on par with Vet Lacey. Long, slim legs and enough power to kick her own face. I am truly baffled by her cut. I'm with you on the three vets - Raylee I was most surprised on, since Heather still has uber baby face (though I think she's cute) and Allie had gained weight. Raylee is right there with Simone for me (absolutely fine but still in the bottom quartile,) but I would pick Simone of the two because she has a different look. They probably have a rookie or two than can make into a redhead this year, plus they kept Savvanah for TC and she's a strawberry blonde. Audition Lacey was tagged by a friend on her pic from solos on Facebook last night, and seemed very sweet in her response. I wanted to tell her that I cried right along with her, but she might not understand our brand of love and crazy. I sure do hope she comes back and doesn't change A THING about her figure. Stephanie is fitness model buff (usually) and I don't feel like it's been an issue.

I think Charlotte is a very dynamic and striking woman. Not conventionally beautiful but I am always so drawn to her! I do think she'd be even prettier with an extra five pounds, but she seems happy with her figure and that's what matters most!
-
Can I just say how much I heart Kristi Scales? She has such a good heart. I swear she would throw herself right off a cliff before she would cut a veteran. Heart of gold, that one. The vet cuts were just weird tonight too. Lots and lots of smiles, smirking, etc. Allie was probably like dammit, should have "retired" last minute like Mandy when I got that weight loss talk. Raylee is disappointing but hopefully she's happy with the Mavs!

My feelings about Christina are well enough known, but I'm gonna say yep yep yep to you anyway! If they called out her kicks AGAIN during auditions why the frank bring her into camp? The hair is cute but not that damn cute. Especially when there is LACEY! Oh my gosh I cried right along with her. I'm spoiled for the season but apparently didn't register most rookies in my brain bc I legit cried ??? I missed that too!! Did she not get a goodbye interview? I don't get it. Hair is the easiest thing in the world to fix and she has such a pretty face and glorious kicks. I feel like she wasn't in this last episode at all.

I can see the resemblance but don't think it's her, mostly because the gal trying out for the Warriors has a more modest cup size ? Good for her...that's a great attitude to have once her initial horror settled out. Plus, she's good at self promotion and that will def get attention. The blurs will preserve her modesty and she's definitely got a good story out of it!! I know the girls are used to exposing their cash and prizes but not alllll the cash and prizes. As for the C, K and Judy gif...that seems more like a reaction from a spectacular trick vs. a wardrobe issue. Maybe Cersten or one of the new girls did something crazy ?
-
I'm very curious about Erica. Assuming she's got an injury that isn't expected to recover during the season, I can see why she'd be released from camp and/or talk through things with K&J and decide to step down. I do think if they're injured on DCC time there's something to be said for keeping the uniform and going only for appearances. Maybe she can go directly to All Star if she's interested? Does anyone miss a year and then come back to All Star?

You're good!! I felt really bad ? XOXO

Me too, but ballroom is on the left ?? I think she just needs all new makeup. And I mean throw it out and start over. There's a perfectly attractive girl in there. I believe heartily in the makeover! Auto Amy came a long way from her first audition, plus Madeline, Jinelle, etc. Maybe she had a bad reputation in the dance world? Wonder if she danced with Danielle, but even if she didn't, they probably know some of the same people.

I don't personally think you're being a jerk, and I can see why you thought my Alexandria comment was spoilers. It wasn't! We know that several of the rookies shown will make TC, and I don't think it's an unfair assumption based on what's been shown the first two episodes that Alexandria has a good chance of making camp AND the squad. Judi and Kelly have mentioned a couple times that she was a group leader for the Patriots and she's tall, willowy and conventionally beautiful...things they seem to value.
-
I'm thinking Cersten not being a group leader has more to do with her schedule vs. commitment to the squad. She might also be a killer dancer and not have the desire to teach, lead or coach in any way than by example. I'm sure the ladies have some input if they want to be considered. I always figure the gals who are group leaders tend to be the same that teach dance as their part time jobs, love to nurture, etc. For all of Jenna's faults, I've heard she's a great coach on the dance floor and we've seen her do it on the show too. Season eight or nine she's specially shown doing it, I can't remember the later seasons. She's one of their stronger dancers, and she seems to be handling the chastising pretty well too.
-
I'm thinking with the right push up bra, they're pushed together to give a line of cleavage. Dance wear doesn't do that so it's extra unflattering for her. Cautionary tale of plastic surgery for sure, I feel bad for her.

I feel like in the northeast, California, etc. if you've got a chance to buy a house you can afford you jump now and ask questions later. Lol. Maybe it's inherited from a family member? Or she's renting it out? Her boyfriend was with her before auditions, so curious how that'll shake out.
-
She probably did (she didn't seem shy about self promotion) but it was likely edited out to focus on the ballroom story. You could see one of her Flight Crew pics on the cover sheet that K, J and C reviewed. I'm kind of bummed she didn't make it further, if only for her solo! But mostly because I really, really wanted to see her makeover.

The Cowboys are known for being America's team, so I don't mind candidates being from all over. And if a qualified candidate comes from outside the US...so be it. Charlotte always seems so tickled about international appeal and reach of the brand. And not an unpopular opinion, but I do wish the team were more diverse. In a tiny population pool of women to start with I know I can't expect a disproportionate racial makeup, but I would still like to see more candidates like Joanna, Veronica, Kim, etc. The number of AA girls does seem to be on par with US census but still seems light considering the high percent of AA players and fan bases. But the team always seems light on latinas, Asian women from all sides of that continent, etc. -
Her mom does seem incredibly supportive. I can't remember if it was the DCC Facebook page or the show's Facebook page, but her mom had top comment in the vein of "that's my daughter!! So proud of you!!" etc. I've said it upthread...it doesn't bother me one bit that she's pursuing her dance dream instead of going to college immediately. But there's no reason she couldn't have done both since she didn't have to move to cheer for OKC (Chickasa is 40 minutes away) and it's a part time gig. The way I heard her story is that she had to choose...go to college OR pursue dance. I'm looking forward to hearing more of her story next episode, especially since she will have to move for training camp if she gets in.
-
I think she's sexy and that's going to appeal to many. Pretty face, and I think she'll have a Tasha vibe once they run her through the DCC makeover. She looks ten years older than Briana and there's only a two year age difference. My only beef with her is saying she didn't go to college because she wanted to pursue her dance dream...she chose a part time dance job 40 minutes from her home town. She could have done both. But hey, that's not as festive a storyline. I don't think we've as a group cared so much what someone did outside of their cheering ?

Ohhhhh that's right. I had blocked it out because I just couldn't. Some of their sad stories get me (hopeful Lacey from this season who's brother died) and others I roll my eyes so hard (OMG I was like, so totally bullied by not the nicest of girls at my studio!) Bullying is wretched and I hate that people are assholes, but overcoming scoliosis and club feet and all sorts of other things will pull my heart strings about a million times more. -
I watched both episodes with my mom tonight (who is a very casual watcher) and she was like, wait. Back up the truck. She was valedictorian and chose not to go to college to pursue dance? So she moved down the street to OKC to shake poms for a sports team that isn't even that high profile??? She didn't know they have colleges in OKC??? I laughed so hard. If she had gone for pursuing BIG dance dreams like LA, NYC, Vegas showgirl, hell, even trying out for SYTYCD or dancing on a cruise ship, I would get it. But nothing about a part time sports team job prevents you from also going to college if you want both. I'm hoping we get more of her backstory and find out that she did indeed give bigger dreams a go, it didn't work out and she decided OKC was good enough to keep her in shape for DCC. Or whatever. Maybe her financial situation changed, since she had enough for dance classes, gear, and possibly plastic surgery. Even so, I don't think that's her barrier to attending, given her academic status and need based financing. It's just an eyebrow raiser since she said she was valedictorian and most at least start college. I'm sure tons of young gals show up at DCC with no intentions to immediately start school. But back to my mom - she was tickled by Kelsey's storyline, asked me more about the judging process, wondered why the judges didn't call out the bad/chunky dancers, etc. All the things those of us who have watched faithfully for years are like OMG stop it. I guess they keep picking up new viewers and need that extra exposition.

Cassie also blew out her knee on DCC time - during a show group performance, IIRC. It would be a super dick move to cut a proven veteran with an injury that should be healed before the season starts shortly thereafter. Sometimes I also think Jay's comment was a trick of the editing monkeys and/or he was playing devil's advocate. Danielle hurt herself at valley ranch, also with an injury that would heal during camp. I'm glad they kept both in. Brooke was a longer recovery time but probably still the right choice. If the players can have injured reserve, I guess the DCC have their version too.

I can't remember Chelsea's and I JUST watched that story - she met the DCC on a USO tour, right? I was so distracted by her wide eyed, earnest BS that I missed the story. I thought I was wrong about her and felt like a bitch her rookie year, but I guess I got validated her second. Yikes, what a mess. Makes me think of Ashley Paige, who also had that earnestness about her, but she seemed more genuine to me. Wish she hadn't been so stiff, because I think she was so pretty and probably quite lovely. Chiefs cheerleaders are stuck in my head since I was at the game last night ?❤️? -
Chickasa, OK has a population size of 16,000, so it's not like her graduation size was tiny, either. Small for sure, but one of my besties was valedictorian in a class of 15 ? She's actually smart though. I don't mind the political questions. Weed out the brain dead girls with the basic current events and some use them to see how they handle awkward questions. Grace, poise and a subtle subject changing will get anyone through most situations. I do think in today's society and the widespread use of social media, to miss who the president is this year, his family, some of the Spicy events, etc. shows a level of ignorance and/or self absorption that I just can't comprehend. None of these girls have an aunt who constantly shares memes and articles that haven't been fact checked? GTFO.
-
But y'all went! It was a sad, sad ending but y'all were there ? Maybe this will be the Cowboys' year...Alexandria can show them how it's done for sure. She's awesome.
-
I feel like there has to be some gray area with fraternizing - IE, cheerleaders and players mix and meet at official events. If they run into each other out and about, I imagine a quick hello or acknowledgment wouldn't be frowned upon. Popping bottles and sharing table service, sure. But just seeing them at the same place wouldn't be enough, I'm assuming. Maybe if it was the last straw but I would assume that's a case by case thing. That said, if it was a problem, I imagine Kelli's opening speech the first day of TC will address it a la "if you're out at a bar or club and a player walks in, you leave. You can be at the same restaurant but not the same place you can be seen together."
-
I was thinking she had responded back or something! She didn't "like" any of the comments, either. She's probably just ignoring social media for a little bit, and I can't blame her. I have mixed feelings about the "take home girls" - they make for a good storyline for some (tho I know many of us would prefer they focused on the more talented rookies) but if you aren't picking up choreo quickly, being a DCC (or any other type of professional dancer) probably isn't the job for you. And that's okay! You could have been great in high school or college but just not have the skill or memory needed to succeed professionally. I feel like most of the stragglers we see in Training Camp end up being one and done girls. Sure, some make it for their second year like Kelsey, but most don't. I would rather see someone like Breelin get cut from camp and advised to get some experience under her belt (be it AAIA, Legends, Mavs, etc.) and then come back strong for DCC when they're a bit older. Maybe if she came back after college she'd be able to do multiple years, and she could have continued honing her skills at A&M. If you're scared in the studio with Kelli, Judi and CMT cameras, how on earth are you ever going to kick ass in front of 80,000 fans on a nationally televised game? I want people to live out their dreams and all, but in-season stragglers make me bananas. Just have a team of 32 or 34 and use All Stars as needed, if needed.
