  1. From my 50 years of experience I've found that guys that are arseholes at the beginning of a relationship only get worse as time goes by. If you want to train someone and teach them not to have tantrums, adopt a toddler.
  2. I agree. She needs to let it grow longer so she can wear it in a bun.
  3. This was the first episode I didn't really love. I felt there was too much going on and a lot of it was predictable.
  4. Agreed. Jaclyn is in sales. If she didn't already have the capability of clamping down on words and behavior that needlessly hurt people, she'd be out of a job. And again, she realizes her behavior is wrong and adds it to her "to do" list of things she needs to work on. Jaclyn seems to have a warm heart. But I think Ryan can find someone with a warm heart, without the big mouth. Ryan is also in sales, so I doubt that he is always passive. I just think it is harder for guys to tell someone that they are hurting their feeling.
  5. I think Davina is peeking out from behind her own red flags. These two need an open marriage, so they can have a threesome with a therapist ( not one from this show).
  6. Jaclyn is full of BS with that remark about someone having to be dominant in a relationship. I'm sure her assumption that she needs to be in the driver's seat hasn't worked out in the past. I guess the concept of a partnership is alien to her. She does have the introspection to see that what she is doing is giving this marriage no chance of success. But knowing you are wrong and changing your behavior are two different things. I think she does have a softer, warmer side and I hope she lets that shine through. And Ryan needs to stop being a docile doormat who isn't speaking up for himself. If he is attracted to the "firecracker" type, that's fine, but he needs to display his extinguisher if she goes too far. I guess this is the couple that is being edited as this season's Doug and Jamie. So, it will be interesting to watch them. Next season, I hope they match a Plain Jane with a hot guy.
  7. If she is, there wont be any Jenry. Henry wouldn't cheat on her or divorce her.
  8. When Helen returned, her husband killed himself. That's a pretty strong reaction.
  9. If that happens, I want it to be in the last episode of the last season. I just can't imagine this show without Vera Farmiga.
  10. I was picking up a pro-white thing. And I respectfully disagree with your definition of self-hate.
  11. If a "white" person has a strong preference for someone who is racially or ethnically darker skinned, is anyone going to call them self-hating? I hope I live long enough to see the day when everyone can get their human genome done cheap. Most of us will turn out to be Heinz 57 mutts.
  12. I'm just responding to what I've seen so far. I might re-watch the episode on FYI if it includes more scenes. I don't think Jaclyn is a bad person. I just don't care to be around loud, abrasive, controlling people of either sex. If she and Ryan turn out to be a truly great match, I'll be happy for them. I'm just not seeing it. Off topic: I think Ryan Gosling is a brilliant actor. I've seen most of the movies he's made. But I think he is just average as far as looks.
  13. 1.) through 100.) No male clones. Drop that plot There are plenty of interesting established characters that can be the focus of an episode when Tatiana needs a breather.
  14. I've watched every episode of this show. Was Norman ever shown killing his father? I know he doesn't remember what happened. I guess I'm not sure what happened either.
  15. What if Paige told her parents that she'd keep quiet if they would just quit being spies. They could just run the travel agency and have more time for her and Henry. Paige is smart, but would she know that being a Russian spy is like checking into The Hotel California ? And what plan do P&E have in place if she says she has to tell someone, or if they find out she has. Would they put her in a psychiatric institution, ship her to another country or what? If there is even a hint that they'd consider killing her, I'm out.
  16. Jaclyn orders for both of them , which I think is rude and pushy. Ryan says in his talking head that he didn't like it. But when Jaclyn asks him if he minded, he says he's fine with it. This marriage is going to have more problems than her lack of attraction.
  17. I knew someone just like Barb. She was angry, bitter and racist. She may be unlikable, but she is very human. I love this show. I think most of the characters are much more believable than what we usually get on TV. Maybe my feelings are due to the fact that I'm older and have spent my time around a great variety of people.
  18. I think the writers copped out. Elizabeth's victim is an old woman with a heart condition so bad she needs a transplant. She doesn't want the transplant, and hates hospitals anyway. So she wouldn't want to die in one, right. She misses her deceased husband so much, she comes in at night to feel close to him. She has no fear of death, and thinks she will join him when she goes. Hey, this is practically a mercy killing. I would have made the bookkeeper the son's young, pregnant wife. The baby kicking is keeping her awake, so she comes in to catch up on her work. Let Elizabeth deal with that situation.
  19. I think Norma should call that therapist and ask about a family discount.
  20. I wish they would kill Lizzie off at the end of this season. Then next season they could have Red and Tom working together to find out who killed her and they could still knock off some black-listers along the way.
  21. Jessica is pretty, but that first pic is so heavily photo-shopped I would never have recognized her.
  22. I'll probably keep watching, but was really mad that they had 3 hours full of filler and no weddings: repeated clips, endless toasts, being reminded 50 times that this will be a real, legally binding marriage. I'm already sick of Jaclyn. I don't like people with "big" personalities. I know you can't help who you are attracted to, but I think she is over-rating her own looks. I think she is lucky that Ryan R.thought she was attractive. Does anyone think that they match more than 3 couples in case someone does back out at the wedding? I do.
  23. I haven't re-watched the first season of Broadchurch. Did they get Joe to repeat his confession on tape and/or in writing when they got him to the station? A verbal confession without witnesses that isn't recorded in any way or written down should be thrown out.
  24. I think Aaron Paul deserves a special "Acting With Your Eyes" Award. And that goes for any episode of any season.
