  1. I went back and made a couple of additions and corrections, including yours. PaperTree, (below) absolutely, I love a good one!
  2. WWII military slang.... Fucked Up Beyond Any Repair or Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition/All Reason .....which it would have been if they had any other charter guests than the ones they lucked into getting. I can't believe the size of the tip they got but the guests seemed to enjoy everybody except Chandler.
  3. Didn't the Captain order the deck crew back? I remember thinking that was odd when I heard him do it. But there's no way I can watch that shitshow again to verify my impression. ETA: OK, I Went back and found the Captain's radio, at 32 minutes in...... "Chandler, Chandler, Lee.........I want you and everybody else in the boats to head back now.....leave 'em (the guests) there on the beach, I'm sending vans to pick 'em up." When asked by Ross if they hould double check that nothing is... [garbled], Chandler says "No, leave everything. Let's just get back." I've been wondering if the father has been watching. Does he see his son as the inglorious fuckup that he is or is he one of those parents who supports their kid no matter what the truth is and only sees that those peons are not respecting his precious boy. Yeah, the editing on this was very wonky. Caroline DID radio about the glass. Where were the rest of the crew and why didn't they take steps to protect the guests. Granted the mess was hers, but first things first - protect the guests. I can almost see the director telling the mom, "OK, now if you'll just run the kids up these stairs......" Chandler has been riding Rhylee's butt since day one. It's almost as if he wants her gone so he can get another "swinging dick"* on his crew. I am sure that being the asshat misogynist that he is, in his mind women have no place on a deck crew. I get a special satisfaction knowing her having been a fishing boat captain must chap his hide bloody raw! ETA: Come to think of it that's probably why he's being so hard on her, to prove he's the better man. LOLOLOL (cough, hack, wheeze) * I'm still cracking up over the Captain's use of that phrase.
  4. I very much liked Kate recognized the deckhands who had an early morning call and sent them to bed. I also noticed that Chandler didn't like that and that's when he went for his precious ice cream.
  5. Once again we sit through an hour of FUBAR, yet are denied the satisfaction of any retribution. Stay tuned next week...... and the next, and the next. Previews promise action but I've already been burned by previews. ETA: glorified housekeeper!!!!!?????? Can this arrogant, entitled asshat be anymore misogynistic?
  6. Why are Chandler and Caroline still on that boat?
  7. I thought of that, almost added it to my comment. But didn't they pack beer as well? Warm beer for after an event? Nyah.
  8. Wait!!!???? Wasn't that last week? Oh yeah, it's squeezing out the last possible drop of fake "drama". Note - it's not drama if it drags on and on. I know that's how reality TV works, but it seems especially egregious on this show, this season. I'm still waiting for the "man overboard" moment that was previewed weeks ago.
  9. OMG - This show has gotten so preachy. I'm thinking maybe they should send it over to the Scifi channel since it has become such a fantasy. Everything works out, everyone is happy at the end, everything is resolved (in our favor), a place has been squeezed in for Super Professor, and Elizabeth gets a yummy treat. Whatever might be left over we know is still going to be kumbaya, 'cause you know, we are the Good Guys.
  10. The crew packed the dry bags before the excursion. The bags were on the deck of the tender, out in the open, not only easily seen but kind of hard not to trip over. What did they think they were there for, ballast? I don't tweet but I can't resist.... #NOTthinking
  11. Well! That scratches Japan off my bucket list!
  12. There is an expectation of pampering, of having every need met without having to think about it. However, if the primary can call Kate to get picked up it would have been just as easy to call Kate and say, "Hey we need towels." So yeah, there is some responsibility but still, for what they are paying, the expectation is carefree pampering.
  13. I suspect Rhylee is trying to do her best but with Chandler being incompetent and such a misogynistic jerk she's pretty much blocked at every turn. From the beginning she has tried to get direction and guidance from him and all she gets is crap. She quickly learns that the smallest error earns more crap, so she starts asking questions, looking for clarification. Then she gets more crap for "attitude". You can see this clearly when it came to putting out the water toys when she knew there was an excursion planned. I'd have been asking for clarification too! Come to find out Chandler didn't even know about the excursion so his instructions to the crew were bogus. How is it the bosun, the guy in charge of the deck crew, doesn't even know what the day's schedule is? Chandler knows she has captained fishing boats and that's probably very threatening to him. I'm not going to pass judgment on her until I see how she operates under a competent bosun.
  14. True. BUT!!!!!! It reflects on his management (or lack of) skills. I don't really think it was sabotage, but it did occur to me while watching the dry bags run back-and-forth on the little boat.
  15. Thanks, guys. So Carl has to have a very good idea if and when an idol might be played. I doubt that was the case last night. Everyone seemed pretty surprised when the idols started flying. Now Christian knows where he stands and can fight back.
  16. I am still confused about exactly WHEN the nullifier must be played in the idol-playing process.
  17. Except that it adds to the Chandler's incompetence storyline, part of the build-up to a demotion or firing. ETA: Even though their butts were on the line too, I wonder if there wasn't a little (maybe subconscious?) Chandler-related sabotage by the crew. Those bags were too obvious to be missed.
  18. I think you could see the dry bags in the tender as the deck crew cruised back-and-forth. The camera focused on the bags a couple of times.
  19. Do we know if one of those 10 adults isn't a nanny? I easily could see Bravo downplaying the presence of a nanny for dramatic effect.
  20. Better yet, how about a bouquet of tissue flowers?
  21. Wasn't it a crew member who radioed the yacht that the guests were ready to leave because there were no towels and no water? I think that was when Captain Lee made his "ass for dinner" comment. At this point I am faulting Captain Lee for these problems. He's known about the crew failings and has done nothing about them except to lecture the crew. Of course the crew problems are going to get worse since he's doing nothing about them. Broken glass on a stairway and a child stepping into it? That's a lawsuit! I'd be checking out the fine print in my Bravo contract for that one.
  22. That was disappointing. The previews keep leading me to believe that something's actually going to happen and all I get are teasers for the next episode.
  23. Thank you so much for posting this link to the Ponderosa clip! I always have the devil of a time finding it on the CBS site. Elizabeth looks like a wonderful person, someone I'd really enjoy knowing.
  24. LOL @ Captain's "going to eat some ass for dinner!" I'm tying my bib on for that! And dessert is going to be Chandler going off on the crew afterwards. 'Cause, ya know, they're making him look so bad.
