  1. I wonder how many of these celebs will be using the next three weeks as a detox.
  2. Heh - I don't know from cupcakes so I guess I'm not smart - sigh. ~~~~~~ Waving at all my BB buds. Glad to see everyone again.
  3. These are "D" list celebs, or lower, therefore it's all meaningless.
  4. Me too - Kato. I think they nailed me with the frozen pizza.
  5. Come on! "Me too" is still pretty selectively applied, depending on whom and where. Witness the "us Vs. them" standard on this show. We (the viewing audience) can snicker and giggle, but the guests are scum if they do. I saw a clip from the old Johnny Carson show of Gordon Ramsay being an absolute a-hole to Sofia Vergara, in a way that was totally acceptable in that time frame. Not only acceptable but encouraged and condoned in a "good old boy" way. Everyone (today) was getting all huffy and "O my" about it. But come on! That was then. Do we watch Gordon Ramsay because he's such a fine upstanding example of what a gentleman should be? No, of course not. So how is it we get all huffy when this show, which is obviously NOT about PC-ness, isn't PC? If the show wasn't outrageous nobody would watch it.
  6. Why is it NOT OK for the guests to harass Josiah, but totally OK for his work-mates (Bravo) to go on and on about his "golden package" for our entertainment? It really sets up a double standard for harrassment. We can be titilated, but the guests are scum for the same thing? Just asking, ya know? 🙄 I felt so bad for him having to do that.
  7. being a MG? - No, not for most people. But some obviously enjoy it and find their own antics hilarious, as seen in the afterwards "debriefings", when they relive their "fun times." Watching a MG? - $129,000,000 spent at the box office on the movie "Mean Girls" (not counting world-wide BO, or Broadway) indicates that many people disagree with you. Unless..... maybe they thought it was a documentary? Also there are lab studies where people who are not normally mean can with incentive, implied consent, and anonymity quickly become "Mean Girls."
  8. So........ can she add porn star to her resume? It might be an option if the yachty thing doesn't work out. You know, just in case.
  9. Thanks, Peaches*. My only reason to watch is to get together here with the old gang. I have such a good time snarking with y'all. *Even tho I think you're just Peachy - one of my faves on this board - I tagged you as Peaches instead of Peachy 'cause I didn't want to confuse you with JP on Survivor. 😙😉
  10. Who or what is a Johnny Bananas** Should I even care? If I don't know any of the "celebrities"* does that make it just a regular but shorter season of BB? *You know you're getting old when you don't recognize most of the people in People magazine. ** Googled him. Meh. I don't waste healthy brain cells on that kind of trivia. But then that's probably all BB can get with 1 or 2 exceptions.
  11. So.......accept the back pay and donate to COS or be "declared". Done! Problem solved. (Except for that pesky little precedent it sets up.)
  12. You don't for a moment think CO$ is going to let that commission money get away from them, do you? CO$ researches/ knows every dime members have or can get, she works for CO$, she gets commissions, CO$ knows about the commissions and asks her, "How much have you donated lately? Don't you think it's about time for a few more sessions?" Sessions she can't use because she's hustling 18 hours a day trying to meet her quotas to get commissions.......... which she is expected to donate to CO$. Plus if you have a quota and are coming up short it would be natural to tap your own resources to make up the difference and avoid the severe consequences of coming up short. So she was probably as mortgaged and maxed out as she could get, too
  13. Excellent article! Thanks for posting it. What gets me is that all the while the guy was "rege-ing" parishioners for thousands and thousands of dollars, he managed to convince himself that he was performing a service and doing good things for them, he was helping them. Damn! That's some powerful brainwashing!
  14. I just can't get that guy on tonight out of my mind. I can see how CO$ brainwashes people who have been in the organization since childhood, or even people who've been sucking up the kool-aid for a long long time (I have a cousin....). But for somebody who has just signed up, how do you turn over $35000 plus $7500 fee for membership and then threaten your wife with divorce if she doesn't get with the program. Honestly? She'd be better off without him!
  15. Boy, Cap. Lee certainly knows how to sidestep a problem/confrontation! I expected fireworks, and what I got was "just do your job." Once again, production oversells a clip.
  16. I'm sorry but what kind of "genius" gets into a new (to them) organization and forks over $35000 to START the training? CO$ is certainly reprehensible. And I get that some people are desperate for spiritual help and guidance. But at what point does common sense and personal responsibility kick in, in the initial encounters with this organization?
  17. Don't forget the pundits following these broadcasts who have to tell us what we just heard and interpret it all for us. I'm with you. I would rather read the content. Personally I believe all politicians are in one way or another tainted. By the time you been elected dogcatcher you have sold your soul to somebody, and cannot be trusted.
  18. Does A&E broadcast presidential adresses? There is one scheduled for 9:00 p.m. tonight and I'm sure most channels will be carrying it. Me? I could not care less! I'm just hoping it's not going to interfere with the CO$ Aftermath programming. Tonight they're going to be talking more about CO$ money collection policies. How ironic. I'm sure the presidential address will be about getting billions of dollars, and so will tonight's Aftermath program. I could make all kinds of connections, but........nyah.
  19. That would have been a great moment. I just don't think being on reality TV does anybody's career any good unless they are aiming for Professional Famewhore.
  20. I have to admit I'm a little sad about Sean Spicer. His position as press secretary (?) really positions him as a minion of the corporate world. But a stint on a TV reality show like Big Brother blows that right out of the water. Who would hire him now? This, if true, proves that he has no sense of what might be "appropriate." Appearances are everything in both the corporate and political worlds. This is a big, bold-faced FAIL. So sad to witness a "crash and burn" like this. Again, if true. ETA: "sad for" (imo) implies some level of respect. I just pity the man for being a bumbling fool, whether he is on the show or not. In life, he's completely in over his head. He's like the dim-witted cousin the whole family gently acknowledges as (ahem), just a bit slow, don't you know. At least his successor (SHS) grasps how the game is played, whether she's on my team or not. (Not!) Heh - so much for character assassination (cough).
  21. LOL - I actually had to Google Sean Spicer because I couldn't figure out who he is, and I follow politics pretty closely. sic transit gloria mundi Otherwise, I only barely recognized 5 people on the list (celebrity????). I don't follow pop culture that much and given the 5 I did recognize I'm probably way ahead for it. What a way to celebrate the end of so many insignificant careers.
  22. Is there really no activity on BB Celebrity or am I in the wrong thread/forum? I can't find anything "BBCelebrity" here in this forum
