  1. Thanks iluvobx. The article I read, from a different source, said that the 16 y/o boy/perp was trying to see his COS mother, which may be the domestic incident they were referring to. I wonder if this is a case of disconnecting.
  2. I am on my cell phone in cannot figure out how to share a link. But there is a report of an attack and murder being committed at the Sydney Australia center. I was under the impression that Scientology had been outlawed in Australia.
  3. Christmas for folks like me is what, in Los Angeles, we called a Jewish Christmes, a movie and Chinese take out food. And if that is too politically incorrect for you, stuff it. Ho, ho, ho.
  4. Or, some people have lost all their family, are alone in an overwhelmingly family-centric season, and are doing the best they can with they may or may not have.
  5. That is one thing I hate about the holidays. Regular TV is suspended and we are subjected to re-runs of poorly done cartoons that somehow or another have lasted long enough to have been labeled classics. Either that, slushy, syrupy Christmas movies or lame, poorly rendered star-powered musical "specials", which will be rebroadcast for years to come. Bah, humbug
  6. In her book, "Troublemaker," published in 2015, Remini States that there are 35000 members of CO$ world wide. That's not even a drop in the bucket so how come it's so powerful? Of course we're seeing how it works with Remini and Rinders work. But it still somewhat incredible that such a small group has such power and seems immune to organizations like the IRS, the FBI and the LAPD.
  7. I received the book in the mail this morning and have read it already (very fast reader). It was excellent. I really recommend it. It was really funny at the wedding (Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes) how badly the CO$ gremlins wanted to get to Jennifer Lopez and Leah kept blocking them, mostly unintentionally. She just wanted to hang with her buddy. She got into a lot of trouble for that.
  8. Before the yoga session production had made a big deal about the fact that Laura was a yogurt instructor (Lol @ typo), so I call production interference on this one. I totally think production set it up, in of course the most dramatic way - leaving her work station, to backup their earlier comments.
  9. Press coverage of the release of their new movie mentions that Jennifer Lopez and Leah Remini have been best friends since before Lopez married Marc Anthony. Imagine the pressure on Remini to bring Lopez into CO$! That would have been a mega - get. ETA: My copy of "Troublemaker" should come from Amazon today. I know Remini has, in interviews, mentioned the pressure on her to bring her "King of Queens" co-star into the organization so maybe she'll talk about all that. Can't wait to get the book!
  10. Why is there a cross at the top of the CO$ buildings? A "religion" that worships LRH and ETs isn't the slightest bit Christian. Of course, it's PR, making the bldg look like a church, as well as hoping to lure some Christians in and snag them. As with everything else in this cult it's very offensive.
  11. Did anyone else notice, when Laura told Kate she needed to check herself, how dark Kate eyes got. It was as if Kate was holding in the demon that wanted to reach out and eviscerate Laura. And it wasn't at all certain that Kate would succeed. Me? I was hoping for the demon to come out and annihilate Laura with Wolverine-like claws of adamantium, claws of righteous rath. Oooh, yeah, ahhhhh.
  12. What a fun idea! So.........will he suddenly show up as an adult, maybe a "walk-in" (?)* ready to resume a leadership role? Hubbard v. II Vs. Miscavage? The line forms to the rjght..."I'm LRH!" "NO, I'm LRH!" "WAIT, I'm the real LRH. All these other guys are imposters!" Or as with the Dalai Lama will he be born as a baby, discovered as a child and the CO$ has to wait for 16 - 18 years for him to grow up. Of course he would be "discovered" in a "good" Scientologist family and be raised "in the faith" and join the Sea Org when he's 4 or 5 years old - a child prodigy, doncha know . There's a huge potential for mucking around with some powerful mythology there. Maybe they will discover his mother was a virgin when he was born. Even twistier, Miscavage would have the oversight of that baby's upbringing. That unleashes all kinds of potential mayhem! Or better yet, he's reborn into a fundamentalist devout JW family and grows up with complete indoctrination in that cult. Ooops! LOL 😂 * There is, in New Age mythology, a phenomenon called a "walk-in" . This is a situation where a soul/ spirit/personality finds life too much to bear and abandons the body. The body is then inhabited by another soul/spirit/personality who is eager to experience human life. Same body, different personality.
  13. OK - I'm done. I am so tired of being led on by previews that don't happen in the next episode. I have a schedule conflict, another show on at the same time that I really like. Based on previews last week I was looking forward to seeing the "she goes or I quit" conversation with Captain Lee but now I find out that's not going to happen until next week.......maybe. From now on I'll watch this program "On Demand" and see my other favorite show in this time slot. As for the Kate/Laura conflict I'm not sure where I stand. They're both A#1 bitches. As ghoulina said, Laura came in hot, and can't seem to do her job - although I'm suspicious of editing. But Kate is not winning any Miss Congeniality awards either. But I can really see where Laura's non-stop mouth is grating on Kate's last nerve.
  14. Given these low membership numbers and the amount of money CO$ has amassed, they must have milked everyone of those "cows" absolutely dry!
  15. From Captain Lee's blog it looks like he recognizes that Laura is a problem. I wonder if he will have sense enough to lineup another stew before he lets her go so there's no gap in service for the rest of the crew. Kate's ultimatum (in the previews) should give him a heads up to the problem, if in the timeline of the show, he isn't already aware.
  16. I agree. I watched very closely in one of her Talking Heads, and the only thing that moves as she talks is her mouth and even that movement is odd. There is absolutely no other facial expression. So sad.
  17. The crew reactions to this emergency would indicate that they don't do the drills. Nobody responded appropriately except the camera man.
  18. I am loving Leah (and Mike) on this program. But she definitely needs to put down the hypodermic and step away from the botox and lip injections.
  19. Come to think of it this is the first time anyone this season has taken full responsibility for their own actions with absolutely no excuses. Quite refreshing, and his world didn't come to an end when he did. Other members of the crew could take a page or eight or nine (manners, cheerful attitude, etc.) out of his book. He may be a horndog with the ladies, but he's a nice horndog to have around.
  20. "Hmmmmm, the Force is strong with this one." Sorry I couldn't help myself.,
  21. Clarification, please? I've seen several references to Davy figuring out that the 2nd idol was bogus. But I'm sure I saw Nick TELL him it was bogus, no "figuring" involved. That was the point where David changed his mind about voting Nick out because suddenly Nick was being "truthful" again.
  22. Mike reminds me of Daniel Stern in Home Alone, and I really disliked that character.
  23. If you announced that we were having "steamed chicken breasts" for dinner, my response would be "Oh..........how...ummm.......nice." Perhaps after I tasted it my attitude would change, but initially.........ho hum. And yes they were impressed with the flavors, until they realized they'd been served po' folks meat. Might as well have been steamed 'possum!
  24. There are some "entertainers" who just automatically go into my cheap and tawdry file. She is one of them. I suppose her "do not vaccinate" campaign lends her some pale aura of respectability in some circles, but I think she's looney tunes and not worth the effort it would take to change channels, unless it was to get away from her blatherings. For last night's WWwhatever show I saw her name and tuned out. I didn't even realize Ashton with on.
  25. .........and on the next cruise there'll be someone who doesn't eat beef or shellfish or pork, and just wants chicken! Maybe if the Unicorn had fancied it up more? I mean "steamed chicken breasts" doesn't exactly make my palate stand up and shout "Woo hoo" in breathless anticipation. Actually, I remember every time my mother would start a diet she'd start pounding down the chicken breasts. It was enough to turn me off chicken for life. Even today just smell of chicken cooking nauseates me. So my preference sheet would definitely say "no chicken."
