  1. *starts clapping excitedly*
  2. Which would involve networking and writing, both of which she would have developed somewhat as part of being a journalist, so she'd be using transferable skills. Normally you'd have someone with more experience in that role, but as part of the job involves superhero team supervisory responsibilities it makes sense to have Iris rather than a stranger. At least, sense enough for me to wave it aside and move on.
  3. I would pay real goldurn money to see Ray love Mick to death. Metaphorical death, that is. (Or what the French call la petite mort; I ain't picky.) God, we need more of that pairing. Not going to quote your whole post abojt the Danvers sister, @LolaRuns, but the whole thing gets a big fat ?from me.
  4. Link to interview with Tom Welling over his new role on Lucifer: Why Tom Welling Chose Lucifer for His TV Comeback — Plus, His Take on This Fall's 'Clark/Lois' Face-Off And it just hit me: with this role, Tom Welling *finally* gets to romance a Chloe.
  5. This literally made my day. I'm not surprised people are getting into his version, and it's a neck-and-neck race between Trevor and Stephen Colbert as to who I like best on any given night. Best case scenario: photo finish.
  6. In all fairness, this is true for a lot of characters. I haven't heard a single thing about Mick after episode three. At this point I'm assuming Ray kills him in a fit of rage during Episode 4.
  7. @Karlophe: I would like your permission to seek the hand of your post in marriage; I assure you my intentions are entirely honourable in nature.
  8. Holy shit, a beard does for Grant Gustin what it did for Jonathan Frakes on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Hubba hubba. Let's hope the beard also does for The Flash what it did for ST:TNG. The TV trope "Growing the Beard" exists for a reason....
  9. Really?? That must have been Friday's show? Yay, my two favourite talk show hosts together!
  10. Good! I don't want to have to keep worrying that CC is going to cancel the show or replace him at any minute.
  11. He was a lot funnier than I had expected, to be honest. I think Colbert had fun with him as well.
  12. Well, Mick's my favourite so obviously I'm a fan of whatever interactions he ends up taking part in. But if I had to choose, I'd go with Mick and.... ...Kara/Alex: Kara because him trying to flirt with her will never not be funny, and Alex because him getting turned on by her aggressive protection only to get shot down even worse would be funnier still. ...Oliver: Oliver knows a few things about trying to stay on the "good" side of the line while struggling with one's own darkness. I think he would gain Mick's respect quickly and maybe even end up mentoring him a little bit. And I can see Oliver being able to recognize Mick's worth a little quicker than most would. ...Felicity/Cisco/Winn: Mick getting stuck with babysitting the Nerd Squad on their techie adventures and slowly losing his mind is gold, Jerry, gold. Bonus points if he saves their asses and proves his worth and they make him an honourary squad member in the end (and you know he'd like that, despite himself). ...Ray: Because there can never be enough. But really, I'd like just about any pairing or triad they can come up with if they really think about what those characters have in common (or not) and how they would logically interact given their personalities.
  13. WHY WOULD YOU PUT THIS INTO THE UNIVERSE?!! Please, take it back!! ?
  14. *sigh* What about Mick and Ray as friends do they not like? Just...what? I'm fine with Mick/Amaya and Ray/Nate; I'm just asking that Mick and Ray be friends too!! Thanks to @tv echo and @Velocity23 for their work!
  15. THAT IS SUCH A COOL PROMO! I love how they're leaning so hard into the vigilante stuff.
  16. If Garber is truly leaving, who's gonna fill in as the wise old elder of the Waverider? At 47, Purcell's a little young for that. (Although the thought of Mick thrust into that role is hilarious.) I don't see any reason why Drameh has to leave, though. Unless they plan to make Firestorm reoccuring on The Flash, of course. But Jax could have a meaty storyline on Legends with trying to cope as a "normal" after being a metahuman of sorts.
  17. See, the way y'all feel about 'ships and misplaced weddings is how I feel about that Dhark spoiler. Legends already has a "villain finding his heart and becoming a good guy," thank you very much. ETA: Seriously, what are they going to do with Dhark that they can't do with Mick much better, as he's the one we're invested in? Even if it's so Dhark can sacrifice himself, they already did that with Leonard! Argh, now I'm pissed.
  18. I gotta say, I really don't know if this is going to have the same feel as last year, with the first hour feeling like a Supergirl episode, second hour like an Arrow episode, etc. I think there's a good chance that this is going to be treated like a miniseries that just happens to occupy DCCW airspace. If that's the case, then the plotting throughout might be whatever best fits the story, rather than forcing the "big" moments for any character to fit into that character's show.
  19. Well, I'm never gonna get my Ray/Mick nuptials, so y'all can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. Nah, I'm joking. I watch all 4 Arrowverse shows and my feelings towards all the (show) canon couples run from ability to live with it to distinct pleasure taken from it. I love Iris, I like Barry and I'm happy for them to wed on the crossover (which I'm expecting to have the feel of a two-night miniseries and written as such, rather than the clear distinctions between the series' episodes we got last year). I hope to see one for Oliver and Felicity too. And Alex and Maggie.
  20. "I knocked off one of your casinos in Vegas." Mick, you grubby beautiful soul. You deserve a man/woman who loves you fiercely for everything you already are and could be.
  21. Love everyone's scenarios...although @quarks's scared me a little bit. Write what you know....
  22. I loved having Jeff there as well as Chip - sorry, Charles. The guys seemed really shocked, but happy to see him. That 80s song was classic.
  23. I think it might be. That crack about enjoying the same economic growth enjoyed under Obama was subtle. Anyhow I like Klepper, think he must be wise to the ways of arrogant, clueless white male douchebags to play one as well as he does (a different parody of white male privilege than Colbert), and I'm looking forward to his show and more "sneak previews" on this one.
  24. I like the reasoning, and the pointing out that the "younger and more beautiful" need not necessarily be attached to the notion of "queen."
