  1. David... with the cake knife... in the swamp tent. Sorry for being so dramastic, but whoa, it's giving me honest-to-god not so safe feelings.
  2. I just appreciate Dr. Tsao so much, and he was looking a little more frail and sad in his scene, and I just felt like telling him, "we get it". Ali handled it all like a pro, but as others have stated, they're giving her too much control over the choices she's making... which is not setting her up for success. She's a smart kid, so she'll take all the control she can get. I just really feel for her. I feel for her parents, too, and her siblings, but mostly I feel for her. I wish they had established a routine and normalized her wheelchair and other aids long ago. This season's hard.
  3. I'll make sure y'all have feathers in your hair when you go, for when you see your idol. I understand that it's not just a concert.
  4. Samantha was my mvp this week, between taking care of herself with the inhaler at the recycling center, some decent talking heads, the best look on the worst team, and handling all the twin drama with aplomb, I was impressed.
  5. Aubree may have been having an Elmira moment, but I don't think it was anything shocking for her age. Cole asking the leading questions when he got in, with all that tension, was awkward. I don't really care that she shut the conversation down, but I guess I'm glad that she did, for Aubree. None of the kids on this show particularly love rehashing over-and-over.
  6. I liked seeing Chelsea in the car with Aubree & her friend Aubrie. I always enjoy her appreciation for Aubree's good moments, & she was asking great Mom questions, without using too silly a voice. She could've been much more twee with her reactions to their answers, but I could actually see her holding back. That's maturity, for her, and the answers the girls gave were pretty damn cute.
  7. I mean, we're totally loyal to each other, and that's great, and I don't get jealous when you're at the store, or with your friends, or I'm with the friends MTV has to hire for me, it's so great, even though I've only been touching your skin for like, so long, babe.
  8. I don't have to listen to world renowned experts on degenerative diseases because my daughter is going to be healed through prayer and lots and lots of exercise. It's okay to project my feelings about my child's disability onto her, and teaching her to cope with her limitations would make her seem like a sissy. Wheelchairs make really great climbing toys, and safety precautions are for other people's children. (sidenote: *siiiiiigh*).
  9. The Jace video looks like something any older sister would be glad to put together, all the photo opps in the world mean nothing. Jace is a cute kid, and was a cute baby, but I know Kaiser isn't going to get his cuteness montaged all over the place. He'll get hot dogs and cribs and breakable ornaments in his vicinity, the reality of living with his mom. Get off my lawn, Jenelle.
  10. Leah taught us all the get-around for those confusing plural possessives when she forgot to pack the girlses lunch because she was so busy taking pillses. Kail taught me how fruitful it is to yell at dreamy kids when they're on the soccer field.
  11. Okay, as this episode took its sweet time loading for me, I realized... that's it. I'm over it. I thought I would be, and I was. If I want to, I can catch Chelsea's clips, or whatever. Otherwise, these boards have become much more entertaining than the original content. Onward!
  12. You needn't stand up to open the door for someone entering your home, you don't need to make eye contact when speaking, & it's perfectly fine to stick your phone to your eyeballs to signify the end of a conversation.
  13. It occurred to me as I watched that if this is their way of phasing Chelsea out, I'm going to be really glad for her and her little family. I feel genuine fan affection for them, and it's actually been great watching her grow into herself. If she does leave, I'll no longer 'have to' watch the show, which will also be kinda nice. It was painful, really painful, this episode. I can only see it getting worse. I love Isaac, but he won't keep me watching. I'm glad he has deep support from the father figures in his life. They're also not giving Ali girl enough screen time for that family to make me stay watching, though it was funny to see the live action shots of that deep red lipstick, going to college with all my notebooks, instagram day. If Chelsea leaves, I can rely on you people to give me all the news that's (un)fit to print.
  14. I knew Patsy's bad wig earlier in the season was a bad sign, but I'm glad we got a sweet moment with her in the finale. This episode had lots of great moments, including many already mentioned (such as hot Tom), as well as Barbara's bad Spanish, and greeting her dad in her bathrobe. It'll be interesting to see what next season brings.
  15. Episode had me siding with Lily and Regina, both of whom are usually much lower on my list. I'm Jewish, have been practicing to various degrees all my life, but always connected culturally. I found myself cheering Lily on. Carlton may get a lot of the values Kathryn believes in and holidays she holds dear, perhaps not exactly but in similar form, during his interactions at school and other public places. I also respected Regina. Grieving is tough and personal, and organ donation is amazing and life-giving, but that doesn't mean the loved ones will be ready to (or should want to) meet recipients. Vice versa also applies, recipients can be indebted and grateful, without wanting to make that connection. I also appreciated Regina's conversation with John.
  16. Nurse Crane playing Captain of the Ship with the Scouts, then leaving them to talk to Fred, while they were all trying to get into Crow's Nest position was the highlight for me, honestly. This was a tough one. FGM stories are always hard. I've always found Cynthia to be a weak link, and when there are entire story lines around her, it weakens the show for me. I also liked Sister Winifred and Delia with the driving bits, and I'm invested in Shelagh and Patrick (when they're not too sappy).
  17. I thought Chelsea's reaction to Mary was fine, not super-sized or anything. I appreciate that Aubree speaks up for herself, and I also like that Paislee got a mention this time around. Leah just bored me. Kail confounded me. Poor, poor Isaac. Kaiser won't be "occupied" so much as stimulated. That all was just weird. I could feel Kaiser's relief, being in the classroom. The gratuitous Maryssa shots made me roll my eyes. C'mon, now. The doe-eyed "I'd love to raise Kaiser with you" conversation gave me visceral yuckiness. Jace & Barb's back and forth play routines are fabulous.
  18. Ha! I'm reading that less like Jenelle, and more like Mr. DeMartino. Either way it works, though. She is so toxic. Jace did a great job at jujitsu, but Jenelle trying to all of the sudden be the Jujitsu Mom earned a hard eyeroll from me. Patently ridiculous. Jace's little gasp when he heard it was Meme calling spoke absolute volumes, and the look he gave off camera, whoever he was sharing a smile with, was even more poignant in context of the episode. Addie's "I gotta pee" reply to Leah's beautification speech was pretty perfect, and she's not my favorite A by a long shot. That's Ali. Ali, love, keep telling your mom what's up. Leah needs to learn some play skills while she's at it. Some of that playdough pie was definitely for Ali. Vee's logic & Vivi's attending to the camera were equally fab. I was glad to see the boys with their dads by the end of the episode. Aubree doesn't look like a little girl anymore:( Chelsea's self-conscious camo joke was silly, and their fake baby hijinks were good times.
  19. Aubree's "you actually know that it's a baby!" reaction to the sonogram pics was pretty cute. Cole's awkward dorkiness in front of the cameras has won me over, too, I admit. Jenelle's command of the language is just breathtaking. I liked "I'm gonna be having a new house" and "the way they testified you" in this episode. But oh honey, no, you have not gotten out of a domestic violence relationship. Not even a little bit.
  20. Both Kelly and Hannah were wearing prints at the Judging that could have found a home in Hawwaa's collection. I'm not upset that she's moving forward, though I think she did show some of her strongest looks. I remain skeptical over the fuzzy romper look. I know the circus theme has been done frequently, but she's got a pretty eye catching take. I saw van Gogh's colors, but that's about it. I don't care for large, solid pieces of embroidery, for the most part, but the bee coat was pretty coolish. I won't be upset about any of the four finalists winning, based on personality alone... we'll see how I feel when I get a closer look at their fashions.
  21. Not only do you not talk to a child during their time out, for a young child like Addie, for an infraction like the one in question, you don't wait until you leave the park and drive home before you give a consequence. For a younger child, the consequence loses all meaning when it's that far from the event. I like Supernanny and what she stands for a lot, and I come from a child development background, as well. I do give Leah props for trying out the method, but it needs some work.
  22. Fantastic guest star action, I adore Rhys Darby and Catherine O'Hara. Some great Snicket lines, some good momentum in the arc.... really liked it.
  23. Molly gave me such a Melissa Fleis, Junior vibe in her exit interview. I'd had her pegged as a finalist, but wasn't that inspired by this week's look. I loved Chris and Chelsea's looks. Izzy's was too over the top for me. I liked Hawwaa's leaf jacket better than this week's look, but I'm not upset that she's staying around. I liked Tieler a lot at the beginning, but the act (the editing?) is wearing a little thin. Surprising myself, I'd actually be really happy for Chris to win... but would be okay with any of them.
  24. Penny the dog running away from Kail was wonderful (Free Penny!). Isaac organizing his dolls (& giving his world a little order) was also awesome. The absence of Kail from her arc in this episode was refreshing. I read so many posts about the soup, but it was still worse than I had pictured. They are straight-up being neglectful of Ali's needs, I can't go about it two ways. I feel, so much, for all three girls. I need a shower on behalf of the producer who hugged Dave, and I wish Jace would have continued his thought, even though it was probably safest he didn't. I loved Aubree's math math math clarification.
