  1. Electric Boogaloo, now I want a space headband. I think the chief totally knows he's the Flash. Cops tend to have good observational skills.
  2. True. A fantastic first season can actually be bad for a show because it is hard to duplicate and because it is usually very self-contained, whereas a show with multiple seasons has to have several plot points that are left open ended. I don't feel that this is the case with Forever, however. I get the impression that they have thought about where they are going, and they have enough wiggle room to do so.
  3. There doesn't appear to be much of an effort to lock or secure anything (except the meta prisoners). Fort Knox this ain't. Maybe they just don't see a point with Wells because he not only built the place, and has secret entrances, he's also faster than a speeding Barry and could just whoosh past them every time someone got through the front door. Even so, you would think that they would at least try to get the blueprints, and keep an eye on the cameras for some forwarning that he's coming.
  4. Well, the non-cancellation of this show is on my Christmas wish list. Abe & all of us: Tell her. There are so many things that they could do with a second season. And if they did bring back Adam (whom I do not like) at least now he has a real reason to hate and mess with Henry. I could see them letting Adam escape somehow at the end of season two... Still if this is the end, it's a better one than some of the shows I have seen, so thanks creators. ETA: Let the fanfiction ensue.
  5. I think he was trying to turn Eddie darker or at least plant the seed of doubt, but it was probably the truth.
  6. I submit to you two examples in this episode of Idiocy solely for plot purposes (a.k.a. lazy writing): 1) Snow running towards the angry dragon that wants revenge. What did you think you could do, Snow? 2) Regina leaving the Author with the special ink, and not swishing away the quill magically when he started to write something down after she told him not to. There are other examples of idiocy that related to pre-existing character traits. For example, it seems that Hook will always think that this time he can taunt the dark one without it coming back to bite him later.
  7. Rape by proxy is the term, I believe, when someone pulls that switcheroo. (It carries a 30 year sentence.)
  8. Small quibble; How was Cruella bespelling Maleficent if she only had power over small animals? If she could control larger creatures, why didn't she control humans?
  9. Wasn't she gone three years? 1982-April 7th 1985. Or maybe it was four, I think they said that she had been missing for a year in the flashback 1982 scene.
  10. A bunch of wrongs don't make a right; I think it's safe to say that all these people are dysfunctional, but if they weren't they would need to find something else to fill like twenty minutes.
  11. I couldn't tell what animal Logan's commander was supposed to be. I liked the skunk lady and the shark suit (though not the sculpt of the shark's head), the armadillo had way too much hair and should have had a grayer color palette. Having said that, if the win had not been for the competition as a whole, I think Logan should have won it, because the characters did look like a cohesive team, I would actually watch the movie, it looked clean and genre appropriate, the models looked like they were having a blast and could actually move in their costumes. In contrast, Emily's looked messy (as others have pointed out, post-apocalyptic does not have to), and the story did not make sense. This is really too bad as I think she has the most talent but burnt out a little at the end. Darla needs to share her win with Stephanie as well as Laura, since it was the woodwind faun that Stephanie worked on that got her the win. The fire lady did not look like fire, she was too fuchsia and the merman was extremely generic. The tree lady was very beautiful, but was originally going to be a giant worm-tree combo. I do think you can do a beauty makeup with a worm/worms, but I don't think she has the talent or time to pull it off, so Laura's redesign saved her bacon. Also, she had a really bad makeup early in the season that I remember being surprised did not send her home and it looked anything but camera ready.
  12. TV Tropes ought to create a new trope for this show, called Antagonist (not protagonist) Centered Morality, because this show seems centered around it.
  13. A brief overview of the show; why you should want to watch it, the show's ratings, What we can do to prevent cancellations, and the scarfie campaign... In other words, everything I can fit in a three minute speech and still make sure it's well sourced.
  14. Ditto. I could buy them saying that heroes don't murder, but plenty of heroes have to kill for one reason or another.
  15. How is this chance medley (killing during a fight) any different from skewering a few black knights? Emma had every reason to believe that the threat was real, so she protected her son in that moment in the only way she could think of. Emma seems like a practical person and would understand that, so why would this make her go dark? In the same situation, Regina would have shrug it off and Snow would throw her a party; it's the stupid double standard dark spot all over again.UGH.
  16. I'm thinking of doing a speech on this at my local Toasties club, any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
  17. I thought back when Belle and Rumplestiltskin were married that Friar Tuck should have officiated, but at least it gave Archie something to do.
  18. AthenaScarlet, I looked for your fic on ffn and think the reason you've been getting fewer ffn hits than on AO3 is that once I found the story I saw that it does not have tags for Emma, Killian, or Emma/Killian. I hope that helps.
  19. Random thoughts: Robin has an Emma button? If this was a proper telenovela, Zarian would either be pregnant or falling in love with Robin. (Cackles evilly at the thought of A&E scribbling this down--but really, don't go there, show) OnceuponaJen, your "originally a 4a plot" makes a lot of sense, and also yes to your question.
  20. Well I'm glad that they decided to include a scene depicting emotional fallout; because on this show that would usually get edited out.
  21. Apparently the 5 minutes I didn't see were the only 5 minutes on the show with Emma in them. Can someone please tell me what happened? If not maybe I'll watch it on Hulu later. As for the person who guessed the whole Zelena twist back at the end of 3b, you deserve a fist bump.
  22. Sadly, the last chapter of Open Your Eyes was put up today, Rumsy.
  23. After the reveal, I wish Emma had been like "I'm sorry, but how are you the same Snow White who would have rescued a bluebird's nest if it fell out of a tree?" Way to show compassion to all creatures, Snow. Also, if you think something your wife says or does is wrong, then grow a pair and stop her, Charming.
  24. Say, whatever happened to the mouse (A.k.a. Mickey the geriatric apprentice)? How nice that Chernbog found the time to accessorize. Nice bling demon! Edit: spelling.
  25. "...Something truly despicable. Not just being snippy or sneezing on somebody's dog." Kingofhearts, I just know that snippy comment would end up being made to the villain's father's nephew's former roommate, who would then do something horrible completely changing the villain's life and we all know that the person responsible and with the world's blackest heart is not the one who actually commits the crime but rather the individual who snubbed the crime doer and sent them on a killing spree that would make Elizabeth Bathory proud; Regina, Adam and Eddie told us so.
