  1. Plus we know how her last engagement turned out. Iris, beware of the plot device... I get why Barry never gets any lasting injuries, but shouldn't Grodd have broken his c6 vertebrae or something when he fell from that very tall building?
  2. --Let's be terrified over steak.(paraphrasing)-- Well, that's one way to ask a girl out. --He's going to hate it.-- HR, you troll.
  3. I liked Caitlin's new snowflake jewelry... I hope none of the Rogues steal it. (Oh, who am I kidding, this show has long since forgotten about them.) Wally's outfit is only half in yellow, but I am surprised no one outside of the team has commented on it's resemblance to the outfit of the Reverse Flash. (I don't think anyone on the team would be tactless enough to do so.)
  4. What bothers me is that the judges somehow missed how extremely uncomfortable Erin's model was and kept talking about how safety conscious Erin was even though she did not do anything to protect the model from the jagged edges of the wire mesh on the bottom half of the garment and we saw that she did burn the model with the hot glue gun earlier! I caught a little of Monsters in Me earlier yesterday and when I saw Cornelius's parasites womb dress I felt like it was deja vu...
  5. Natalia should have won. Lawrence's pants crotch was mangled. Cornelius's top was mangled. Erin's outfit was one of the worst sown, poorly designed, and most uninspired things I've ever seen. Brik's look would have been ok paired with other pieces. Dexter's jacket was hideous, but I couldn't see the fit issues that the judges were complaining about on the shorts--in fact, other than needing hemming at the bottom, I thought that they were cute.
  6. After spending the whole episode harping and harping and harping at her dad ( who had been under cover for two years and wanted just one day of normalcy ) about telling her mom that she was in danger and about his knowledge of that danger, Raimy inexplicably goes silent on the ham radio when she finally hears her mom's voice, probably killing Frank's hopes of reconciliation with his wife who now thinks that he has cracked under pressure and is talking to hallucinatory versions of his daughter. Seriously, show?
  7. Maybe her presumed lie about having gotten roughed up while arresting a junkie was actually true in that alternate reality?
  8. She may have messed up time worse than the woman on Timeless (given that that lady was trying to fix time when it was broken by someone else).
  9. Well since I'm pretty sure he's asleep I thought I'd look it up but can't find anything to prove or disprove what he said. It wouldn't surprise me that the plot device of having two parallel timelines had been used by then, though. Anyway, I liked the pilot. The twenty year age gap and other changes don't bother me (yet), so I think I'll be tuning in to episode two.
  10. Apparently this was a short story before it was a movie or a t.v. show (according to my dad, who read pretty much every sci-fi short story in the 60s).
  11. To be honest I'd forgotten about it being 3 fish before, hmm... About this week: It's very cool when one of the judges wants to keep your blade for his private collection!
  12. The Kora is a cool weapon... I rather like the dramatic weapons tests they do on this show; whether it's to gut a jello torso, slice a fish in half (do you think that they had fish for lunch afterwards? ), tear through terra cotta, or cleave a cow skull.
  13. Heidi was right, the sleeves on the neoprene dress looked stupid. Maybe it would look ok on a flat chested pregnant woman?
  14. So does anyone else think that the winning look could have been a fashion forward prison jumpsuit worn in North Korea? My whole family thought it was should have been on the bottom...
  15. I think that when Barry touched Jesse, he accidentally lent her a tiny bit of his speed, and that jumpstarted her speedster healing ability. ( Assuming that the same rules apply for her as for Barry.) I hope that they do introduce us to Caitlin's family; we have seen Barry's family, the West family, we know about earth 1 Harrison Wells fiance, earth 2 Harrison Wells's daughter and his wife's death ( though not her name) and we saw Cisco's family and seen him bond with his brother Dante. All we know of Caitlin outside of Star Labs is about her mom being 'frigid'. (We also know about Ronnie, but we know little about their past and most of what we do know took place in Star Labs). Come to think of it, we have never seen Caitlin's house... no doubt that is because of the tiny set budget.
  16. Ahhh... the tiny budget of CW shows. I think that the only way they would get better scenery would be if they got a sponsor in like a travel agency or something--as I believe they did on the tv show "Covert Affairs".
  17. So did Barry like jump start Jesse (and probably her powers) out of the coma?
  18. Plenty of people don't know their grandmother's maiden name. I do, but didn't learn it until I was an adult... but I don't think my sisters do. I doubt that was a throwaway line--I'm not sure if it points to the man in the mask or not.
  19. Anyone else have "Kiss the Girl" playing in their heads when that Iris and Barry confession scene played out?
  20. So was the hallway that Wally and Jesse were in interconnected to the circular area that housed the Partical Accelerator? Why weren't Joe, Harry, Henry, Iris and Dante also hit with the speed lightning flames like Jesse and Wally were? Jesse may not have gotten the same chemicals as Barry, but she did have velocity nine in her blood. She's definitely gonna be a meta.
  21. I think that Barry's lack of heroism ( in the sense of not looking for an option that didn't involve killing someone who committed a crime out of desperation) stemmed not only from the fact that Barry and company were worried that he would kill Harry, but also because without powers they were limited in what they could do. The problem with this is that the writers keep forgetting that they have a room full of geniuses which practically is a superpower and they should have at least tried to come up with a nonlethal option. ( I realize that Dr. Snow and Dr. Wells were gone, but Barry, Cisco, and Jesse were there.) I also think Barry might be feeling skittish about the fact that he was recently duped ( which is due to the character acting in a way that is far stupider than he is supposed to be just for the sake of plot in the previous episode). Frankly, the whole situation lacked empathy... but then again all the guy needed to do to stop aging and die was to stop hitting things. Just stop. You are not a toddler. Take a deep breath, count backwards from ten, and go hire a lawyer who will file a class action lawsuit on behalf of all the metas created by the explosion against Star Labs.
  22. Why wasn't Iris out there with Cisco and Joe and Barry? She is a grown woman who owns and knows how to use a gun, and is not of more use in a lab (like Jesse). Is Joe really that much of a control freak (that he can't stand the thought of his grown daughter being in the same dangerous situation as everyone else), or were the writers side-lining her again?
  23. This is how it should have gone. Scene 1: Jesse: Promise you will stop killing people! E2 Wells: Very well, I promise you will stop killing people! Barry at the door: Hey, Harry you said... E2 Wells: (aside) Cool it... --Misquoted from Robin Hood; Men in Tights or Scene 2: Jesse: Promise you will stop killing people for me! E2 Wells: Fine, (mutters) Cisco is a better shot anyway... Jesse: What was that?
  24. Audienceofone, now I need to work "give me your tall" into a conversation.
