  1. Not sure if anyone is still watching Josh Gates Tonight. When I set my DVR to record new episodes of Expedition Unknown, the last couple of weeks it's been recording Expedition X followed by Josh Gates Tonight. I don't know if it's a trick to get people to watch the shows, or if it's just Spectrum that's messing up the title. On this past episode, I thought Josh's Godfather impression was really good!
  2. That was really funny. Mark seemed like John reminded him of someone he had seen in drag at some point. I'm curious to know what Deena's alter ego IG is about.
  3. Wow, the hustler got lucky with the older man guessing that last question right! I didn’t think it was him but the other two saying they didn’t know the answer made me think it was him. I’m thinking the reason she made him pick the answer is because he mentioned the coast guard earlier, so she was probably just hoping he’d stick with that answer. I feel like this was the nicest, most pleasant group of contestants we’ve had so far!
  4. Hopefully the ball isn't that white and blue color. Makes it look like an eyeball! lol
  5. There aren't enough shocked face emojis for me to reply to this comment. lol I think Luke Evans is one of the most handsome men on the earth. But I know people's tastes are different so I'll try not to take it personally. 😆 I'm glad Lars has softened since we first met him. He was pretty unlikeable at first. My guess is that by the end of the show, he decides he wants a kid (because his crappy childhood experience is not a precursor for his future child) and gets back together with his ex. Also, Nicole's face, wig and accent don't bother me at all. I also love her outfits. ETA: I think it's not bothering me because it fits the character. Makes her more eccentric and mysterious.
  6. The very first scene we saw of Nick and Emma together, Emma wakes up in her bed, smiles, and talks to Nick who is off screen. Then all of a sudden he appears, and there’s a very romantic sex scene. The whole thing seemed like she was having a fantasy, so for most of the show I just thought she was just a crazy woman who was imaging she was in a relationship with Nick. I figured she sent herself the birthday gifts, but I suppose Dawn could have sent them if she really was in deep. I used to watch Catfish on MTV, and it’s amazing how many people consider themselves to be in a serious relationship with someone they’ve never even spoken to on the phone. Sometimes there will be Catfishes who say they were just having fun, or were bored, but many times they’ll later admit that they kept the relationship going because they were lonely. They don’t have romantic feelings, but they liked that they were needed and wanted. Overall I really enjoyed the show, and the twists in the plot, because I thought I had it all figured out early on! I wasn’t a big fan of Pia though, and I don’t know why Roshan would want to get involved with her. I’m glad we didn’t see them hook up. He, and his son, deserve someone more stable and mature.
  7. I'm glad that Adam won. I thought his work was always well thought out, cohesive, artistic and well crafted. I noticed he posted his audition video on his Instagram, and he comes across as the most interesting person in the world! I love that he wants to be a Disney Imagineer, and there was a quick shot of him dressed up as a Star Wars character while at Disneyland. :) ETA: Just noticed on another one of his posts, where he's dressed up as the Star Wars character (not sure who he is supposed to be, young Han, or Cassian? maybe an original character), a casting agent from NBC replied and told him to check his DMs. Sounds like they may have recruited him for the show back in July of last year. Too bad they need to find people to be on the show. I'm sure they get a ton of submissions. Also, he can sing and play the piano. Of course! He reminds me of a hipster Mr. Rogers. 😆
  8. I wasn't trying to suggest that your speculation was sexist. I just thought it was kind of amusing because it reminded me of a moment in the show. Sorry that it came across as something else. I didn't mind Ryan saying that he thought the woman looked like she could be the wife of an owner, because I thought she did too. She kinda reminded me of the wife of a professional athlete, whose photos I see a lot of on instagram because I follow a lot of baseball players. But I also thought she could be the owner herself. The whole show is about guessing things about a person based off a very small amount of information. In a way, the show is very good at breaking down preconceived notions. But I understand your guess was based on the research you did. I didn't know he was one of the main owners until after you posted about not being able to find any info. I googled his name along with War Story. One of the first articles to pop up mentioned the owners. I have no idea how accurate it is or if his hubby was also a owner. He very well could be if they were married at the time!
  9. Funny how you think his husband was the true owner, just like how he said the woman looked like she could be the wife of an owner. 😁 Here's an article that talks about him as the owner, and then an article explaining that he wasn't the sole owner. I had no idea Outstanding Series Message was a category, but then again, I've never watched the Daytime Emmys.
  10. All of this! I thought Adam's was visually the most pleasing to look at, but was pretty boring from an interactive standpoint. I was hoping Melanio would win. The bar was fun, but I also thought it was sloppy and not very visually cohesive. When they turned off the lights for Melanio's campfire, did anyone else wonder why they didn't turn off the lights for Jessie's lamp last week? I think it was the female judge who said it wasn't that bright, and I like, well duh, lamps are meant to be used in the dark! The skating rink was a fun idea, but didn't look that usable. I don't think dry erase boards are very slippery. Maybe if you throw some jello on it or something!
  11. The horse was War Story, and the hustler's name is Ryan Zamo. He's worth millions, so he could have owned the horse himself. He's acted on some TV shows, and here's video of his horrible audition on American Idol. I vaguely remember him! His skin care line is apparently well known. I read an article that said he wanted all his products to be under $15 because he was sick of paying so much for acne remedies. Well, at some point he raised the price! I was leaning towards Ryan throughout the show, for various reasons. I thought he looked like someone who did magic, and the way he sorta stumbled over saying he didn't have a job made it seem like he was lying. And then not wanting to answer questions first, but then coming up with the answer was cagey. It's a good strategy to let others answer the question first, but if they are on the wrong track, it can be hard to lead them to the correct answer without actually saying that you are sure of the answer. I thought the other guy seemed way too amused at the Daddy's Little Princess sticker for it to be him, but when he answered the Baby on Board question, it made me have doubts. I did really bad with the questions this round. Sushi and gambling and stocks are just not my world. I used to be a big NASCAR fan, and I guessed the correct answer (peanut shells), but I think it was just a guess and not based on any actual knowledge. I think the only question I really knew was the Curb Your Enthusiasm question, and it wasn't because I watch the show. It was because of the Netflix documentary Long Shot, which was about a man who was exonerated for murder because he was shown in the crowd while they were filming the Curb episode at Dodger stadium. I remember the documentary playing a short clip of Larry stuck in traffic, or talking about the traffic.
  12. I picked the hustler near the end, but was still unsure. I thought Christine and Sarah seemed like they could have been the hustler, but they both were not doing a good job answering questions correctly. Christine's behavior was really strange, especially all her OMG remarks about the hustler. It's as if she thought all people in cults worshipped the devil, and thought the hustler was selling their blood to vampires! I think it was smart for the hustler to lie about living in Anchorage and only having 2 children, otherwise the 3 home births clue could have pointed to him, if he lives in a more remote area. I'm glad Christine was upset with herself. She literally said Pride and Prejudice has a Darcy, like Bridget Jones' Diary, but then let Sarah guess and choose the wrong answer! For some reason, I'm normally more happy when the hustler doesn't win, but in this case, I'm glad he won!
  13. An episode not filmed in the USA! It's so interesting that the natives just threw gold into a lake, and that they valued salt over gold. I think my favorite part of the episode was Josh calling one of the conquistadors a jackwad. 😂 Part two looks exciting.
  14. A lot of his recent work came after he was already cast as Mando. I'm guessing Disney thought from the start that they would use body doubles in the suit most of the time. But Pedro was available more for season 2, and showed his face, so spent more time on set. As far as acting awards, I don't think he's actually been nominated that much. And it's more for his voice acting, which is a huge part of a character who's face you can't see most of the time. It's all well deserved to me! 😁
  15. That sucks! He should be able to do the voice work, since that can be done anywhere. But I think this means that Pedro won't be in the suit for season 3, or they'll push filming back. I'd rather he just not be in the suit then have them delay it any more.
  16. You may want to check your local PBS listings, because mine is re-airing episode 1 next week! I'm excited because I've never seen the entire episode!
  17. The only reason I knew his accent was a Manchester one was because I was huge Oasis fan back in the day. He definitely reminded me of Liam Gallagher at one point!
  18. He was actually on Law & Order: Criminal Intent twice, playing different characters! I think he's joked about it before. He was also on the original Law & Order. He did lots of TV before he broke out with Game of Thrones. I know I saw him on shows when they first aired, like Buffy, but didn't realize it!
  19. I was going to take a trip up north and visit Little Bohemia, but the reviews online said they had bad food. lol I don't really understand why someone would bury empty glass jars. Maybe they do it for fun, imagining the disappointment on people's faces 100 years later. 😆 I liked that Josh called Dillinger out at the end for what he really was, a murderer. I didn't really like the sugarcoating of him earlier in the episode, or the giddiness of shooting a gun that was used to terrorize people. Overall I enjoyed the episode and glad the show is back!
  20. I thought it was her too because she was shifty! It wasn't until the NFL coaching question that I switched to the other lady. Although I thought it was maybe a strength and conditioning coach, I figured whoever worked with NFL players would probably have to have a strong personality, and she fit the bill. It's interesting that she said she was a trainer, instead of lying about it. Her strategy seemed to be to convince the other players that she was too obvious to be the hustler. I think it's also strange that she doesn't have an oven. You don't have to use it, but most homes have ovens!
  21. I think the winner was well chosen, but I don't think they should have sent Gary home. I think the baseball player is the weakest as far as execution and creativeness. I thought his halloween costume was really creepy and fun, but it wasn't original at all. The photos they showed of his art at home looked cool, so maybe he's just better when he has more time.
  22. I'm not sure about that. I feel like a lot of people in tech fields are quirky/nerdy/weird/eccentric, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I only guessed the hustler near the end. The stuffed animals and cats made me think it was a woman.
  23. That's what I thought at first. That Loki was just in another section of the TVA that had different variants, but then I saw the statue of Kang. I think the TVA exists out of time but is still part of a timeline. So I think once the sacred timeline started branching, the branches could form at any point in the timeline. Therefore he's in a branch that is close to the one from the sacred timeline, but still different, and ruled by a Kang that's egotistical enough to show his true likeness to the TVA workers. This episode was a little one note for me. My favorite parts were the fight scenes with Loki and Sylvie. I was really worried she was going to stab him after kissing him, so I was glad she just pushed him through a time door! Tom really got to show off the teary-eyed expression he does so well. He even had tears in his eyes when Miss Minutes was tempting him. I hope he wins an Emmy next year!
  24. Yea, I think that's part of the reason why he was nominated. I'm not upset he was nominated, good for him. I just felt like his performance in that episode didn't really excel to the point of warranting a nomination, and there are probably 100's of other guest actors that gave really amazing performances in other shows, who were overlooked for a bigger name.
  25. From The Mandalorian twitter: The Mandalorian received 24 Emmy nominations, a tie with The Crown for the most nominations! Nominations include: Outstanding Drama Series Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series - Carl Weathers, as Greef Karga Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series - Timothy Olyphant, as Cobb Vanth Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series - Giancarlo Esposito, as Moff Gideon You can see all of the show's nominations here. No love for Pedro. 😔 And I'm surprised by the nomination for Carl Weathers. I feel like other TV shows had more worthy guest actors.
