I am SO bummed that Josh went home! He was probably my favorite. I think his song choice hurt him. A darker, edgier song probably would have been better. I could listen to him sing Whiskey and You all day long. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_SV8M7tm-_k

As much as I like seeing Belle stand up to Rumple, what she was saying was kind of ridiculous. if you're just plain evil, you can be forgiven, but being afraid makes you weak and that cannot be forgiven? What kind of morality lesson is that? I understand what she was getting at, it just came off as strange logic to me. I still don't understand why Rumple is with the evil queen. I'm guessing he's just playing along because he'll need her for something in the future. I wasn't really a fan of the retcon of Snowing's first meeting. And for them to not realize until now that they had met earlier seems a bit implausible. I loved the CS scene, especially the hand kiss!

I think her husband truly is sick, and that's the reason she wants the power. To try to heal him. If I remember correctly, they knew each other in college, before she was married and he was a priest. But I think they also had an affair while he was a priest, because of what his sister said in the first episode. So they've definitely had a long term relationship going on, which is why I'm not totally sold on Jessica working for the friar group. But I guess it would be a good twist.

Random thoughts: Why does devil worshipping always involve orgies? The tunnel was really creepy, but Marcus was awesome! He really doesn't seem to fear much. The dead fish floating to the top of the lake was a nice touch. Casey must have been reeeeally dirty and smelly to kill them all! hah I could have done without the maggots on Casey's face in Angela's dream. The bug stuff creeps me out more than any of the spooky stuff. Tomas needs to just make a choice and stick with it. He can't have his cake and eat it took. I don't mind the mother/daughter drama. Plus, it seems like they've made up already, so it won't continue.

OUAT vs. Other Fairy Tales: Compare & Contrast
pezgirl7 replied to Camera One's topic in Once Upon A Time
Entertainment Weekly has a cover story on the new Beauty and the Beast movie. I'm still not sure about the choice of Emma Watson as Belle, or the look of the CGI beast, but I'm all over Luke Evans' Gaston! Definitely a different take on the character. And just wait until everyone hears him sing! :) http://www.ew.com/gallery/beauty-and-the-beast-photos -
Fandom and Viewer Issues: "Fan" Is Short for "Fanatic"
pezgirl7 replied to Emma's topic in Once Upon A Time
Wasn't sure where to put this, but I had a crazy OUAT dream last night. I was dreaming that I was watching an episode that I had DVR'd, and when it ended, a new, 20 minute long episode started. I knew right away that it was going to be an AU mini-show, so I was really excited. There was an arial shot of the group outside, and I could tell it was a wedding, so I got even more excited! But when the camera zoomed in, I could see who was getting married, and it was Hook and Charming! In matching black leather jackets. WTH brain?! I don't slash them, and of course I love CS, so I was really upset in my dream. Then all of a sudden I was actually watching them film the scene, and Adam and Eddy were there, and I just started screaming "TROLLS!" at them. It was pretty funny when I woke up, but in my dream, I was pretty angry, and I think that just goes to show how much the show has been disappointing me lately. LOL -
Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!

Does anyone else think that BTS pic that Jen posted could be from an AU? Her hair looks different, the silk sheets and headboard look like something that could be in a castle, and the green screen makes me think it's not just a normal bedroom. -
S01.E05: Chapter Five: Through My Most Grievous Fault
pezgirl7 replied to pezgirl7's topic in The Exorcist [V]
I thought that they showed the nurse in the hallway afterwards, looking in shock, and being comforted by someone. I also thought that's when the doctor told Angela that he was going to allow her to take Casey home. We have no idea what the nurse actually thinks happened to her, but maybe she didn't want to sound crazy by explaining it. Also, I could see the demon not appearing to the nurse, just choking her, so the nurse could just be really confused about what exactly happened. -
Hook's reactions to everything this episode was so OOC. I was especially annoyed when they were all sitting together at the end, and we was pouting like a hormonal 15 year old. Then the dock scene came, and I thought, yay, finally a nice CS scene that will right this ship. But no, now we have Hook lying to Emma. I am really staring to hate the writing on this show. Why would Emma give the shears to Hook to begin with, if she was just going to have him drop them into the ocean? I thought it was suppose to be an act of trust to give them to him to protect. It would have dumb to get rid of them, I just hate that he's having to lie.

S01.E05: Chapter Five: Through My Most Grievous Fault

Maybe it just refers to the nasty family breakfast that Casey was dreaming about in the beginning of the show. Also, later the family was eating dinner together, but somberly because Casey wasn't there. -

I thought Henry might have been possessed at first, but when he didn't do anything evil, I just figured the show wanted us to think he was for suspense. I still think he was just mad at his wife because the demon probably told him she's lying to him and she could help save her daughter, but she won't. I hope Henry is OK and not being influenced. Ironically, he seems to have the strongest will/belief out of everyone right now, except for maybe Marcus. -
S01.E05: Chapter Five: Through My Most Grievous Fault

Yea, I caught that, but was just hoping someone else had another opinion, because that's a big can of Nope right there. What do you mean by Henry doing the devil's business? I think what the demon whispered to Henry had something to do with the devil knowing his wife in the past. Henry asked Angela if he had something to tell her before he found the bible, so I think finding the bible was just confirmation for him. I think someone is definitely looking for out Henry, since he just happened to find the bible. And since the bible uncovered Angela's secret, I think that will somehow help defeat the demon. -

I didn't see the twist coming. When Angela, or should we call her Regan?, was talking to Tomas, I thought she was going to confess to doing something horrible as a teenager to get attention. I wonder if her story is still well known to people? Please tell me Tomas was just resting his head on Casey's stomache, and nothing more, when Marcus walked in on them! I'm hoping he's got that woman out of her system, and can stay strong from now on. Marcus faired much better, but I fear for him, because in the original movie, the priest sacrificed himself to save Regan. Also, if the demon was correct, then I was right about getting gay vibes from Marcus. Not that it matters. I don't think that can be used against him by the demon, since he doesn't seem like the type to care what anyone thinks of him. -
Well, this was a strange episode. Everything with Marcus' storyline was pretty interesting. The husband and wife tour bus operators were a hoot and gave a nice bit of levity to the otherwise depressing storyline with Casey. I hope she continues to fight the demon. Those who thought last episode that she burned her privates with the curling iron were right. Ick. I'm glad Marcus got his mojo back, and that Tomas was able to stay strong and resist breaking his vow of celibacy. I liked seeing them working together at the end. Looks like we'll get to see more of that next episode. The convent was interesting as well. So the trick is to fight the demon with love and mercy as opposed to forceful commands?

I watched the car crash scene back and freeze framed it, and the man standing in the road isn't her father. It looked like Casey's demon. Maybe we'll find out that the same demon caused the scaffolding to fall.
-
Thanks for explaining. I had no idea about those numbers. I think the reason they didn't show her whole face was because Kat was talking about how she liked her amazing eyes and cheekbones, so the audience kind of is imagining what this girl looks like. And then when we finally see her whole face, she's horribly disfigured, which makes it more shocking in a way.
-
Sorry, not sure quite what you mean, but I found the choice of them not showing her entire face, until she was disfigured, super creepy. This show makes some pretty cool stylistic choices. I'll be sad if it gets axed.
-
She was burning her right arm. The burn was pretty noticeable in the scenes at the dance memorial thing, so I also thought it was strange that no one mentioned it. It's almost like they cut out a scene between the bathroom and the memorial. The demon is also burned, so apparently he likes seeing people get burned. Not sure what that is about.

Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!
pezgirl7 replied to regularlyleaded's topic in Once Upon A Time
There's something wrong with the link you posted. It just takes me back to the top of the spoilers only thread. -
I also didn't like the sexual stuff with Casey. That kiss lasted way too long. I'm tired of the media sexualizing teenage girls. But I'm wondering how her parents let her out of the house in that dress! I know teenagers dress differently now, but if I had a daughter, I would not let her wear that. He seemed to still be alive. She scratched and gouged his chest, and then dislocated his jaw. Having lived in Chicago, I know there can be assholes on the trains, but there are also good people who I feel would have come to her defense. I guess it was needed for plot reasons. Marcus' quip about 41 years of "chastity" could refer to a few things, not necessarily having sex while he was a priest. I didn't mind it, and I like how he seems to enjoy pushing Tomas' buttons.

S01.E01: Chapter One: And Let My Cry Come Unto Thee
pezgirl7 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Exorcist [V]
No worries, I saw episode two as well. :) But Tomas was having an emotional affair with a woman he met in college, the one who's married and has been sending him letters, which his sister asked him about in episode one. -
Season 5, which will be the last, will probably air in the US next year. All the episodes are being released at once on Amazon UK in a few weeks. As far as a Drake...
