  1. Was Vee also trying to hurt Poussey for not agreeing to her alcohol sale deal? I thought maybe she was accomplishing two things there: punish Poussey and control Tastee.
  2. I watched the first episode when it first aired but was also hesitant due to Samburg. Loved it and like him more than I thought I would. The show makes him less obnoxious, somehow.
  3. Thanks @bravelittletoaster , I'll check that episode out!
  4. I didn't remember any of Suzanne's story of her family from last season either. I think I'm going to have to go back and rewatch some of it.
  5. I'm on the side of letting Piper out and away from the show. I find the stories of the other inmates much more interesting. I'm especially interested now in what happens with Tastee and Vee. Those teeth pictures are the things of nightmares.
  6. Am I the only one that doesn't care about Vanessa?
  7. @Rhondinella , I thought at first it was Ellen Degeneres as well, and I knew Lori Petty was in the episode. (I've not seen Tank Girl and remember nothing except Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayzee about Point Break)
  8. I don't have an issue with the violence in the show. It's based on a movie featuring a wood chipper.
  9. For anyone else looking, Showtime has it released on demand.
  10. I just watched episode 2, I wasn't totally in after the first episode, but the second one has pulled me in!
  11. I felt like there was a lot of different pieces and tropes and was having a hard time following along. I'll give it another few episodes, based on Dave's comments about episode 2.
  12. I just created a thread, let's see how it works!
  13. A place to discuss the chefs of Top Chef: past and future. May contain spoiler information on locations and/or chefs.
  14. That spoiler location makes a lot of sense. I would be shocked at this point if it's not true. Sorry Chattygal.
  15. I probably need to rewatch it, but I feel like Paul and Babe were on a sign for the motel? Or some sign, I think.
  16. I agree, I feel like she's become pretty boring but asking for specific feedback was a good idea. Shows initiative, willingness to learn, and acceptance that improvement is needed. I thought she did very well during the talk show challenge. Maybe she will start to have more of a personality soon.
  17. I noticed last night on one of the 10 daily episodes of Chopped, they referred to butchering a fish, I guess there's your confirmation.
  18. I agree, she needs her own show! I realized after watching the two episodes and untucked this week, I'm now hearing her talk in my head. I'm sure that's normal.
  19. Loved tonight's episode. Like how Craig is really a part of the group now. Always love the Indiana references, but I'm a dork.
  20. No one is going to see your garments for you. Or break down your fish ( no clue if it's butchering a fish, doesn't seem right).
  21. I'm fine with the idea as long as it's the good chefs and not the train wreck ones (Josie). Also like that Hugh Acheson is involved. He's my favorite TC judge. If anyone else is a Hugh fan, he did a episode of Alton Brown's podcast that's really good. All about how when he was on TC Masters (?) he saw there wasn't a chef out there that was funny and sarcastic and made lots of comments, so he decided to step up and be that guy. It ended up working out for him as he kept getting asked back because of it. 100% agree on the reality tv rules-swim for survivor, stick shift (and also swim) for Amazing Race, local foods for Top Chef, and I'll add, learn to put in a zipper if going on Project Runway.
  22. Off the top of my head, I know I made her pot roast, which was very good. I know I've done other things that I liked, but can't remember them at the moment.
  23. I didn't catch that! I was too busy looking at the buildings/locations yo try to figure things out. Way to go, Dinklage!
  24. I'm assuming they are making Leslie and Ben about the same age. According to the Indiana University Alumni magazine, Leslie and I graduated the same year, 1997, which makes us both 39. Denay, you got to meet him when filming in Indy?!? I'm so jealous! I wanted to try to find them and meet him, but kept hearing too late where they were. Where did this happen?
