  1. i commented on this before, but i still don't understand this. if they are being stripped of their gold medal because they cheated. why are they getting bronze? that makes NO sense to me
  2. if you ever needed to know what was wrong with the show this right here sums it all up.
  3. okay this bit wasn't on youtube yet. so i totally stand corrected honestly on this one, a lot of people? or the name changes once they actually see the baby. I was unnamed for a few days until my cousin named me (everyone didn't like the names that were bandied about lol) and my mom changed my brother's name a week later because she couldn't stand the name she picked out originally LOL and she wasn't even calling anyone to figure out what happened to Kristina. it was just "yeah you need your daddy Donna."
  4. oh she's in a coma now? (the yt clips didn't show this bit). I have to say a coma is GH's go to "thing."
  5. honestly. i think in this case, I'll give TJ a pass here. (I know we were thinking about ways to make the baby's death his fault becuse we hate him) - but truthfully him being upset about the loss of his baby and wanting to give her a name and all doesn't mean he's not upset about Kristina. if in a few days he's still not making peace with Kristina etc. then forsure let's kick him. but as of right now everyone is focused on Kristina. I think it's okay if TJ takes a moment to think about what was lost. she really does get turned on by death and danger.
  6. you know. as sad as it is - it's good that the death brought Molly and Kristina closer together [again].
  7. Ooh Canada won gold in Womens hammer!
  8. Morgan. I hate you. We were this. close.
  9. me too. the wolf turn. the squat flip thing (I forgot what it's called). there are a couple of other moves that i really don't like.
  10. Man Go Alice!! that was a really great routine. So was the Chinese girl and Manilla (also from Italy). it really seemed that the Beam was roused from its slumber for one more day.
  11. i truly do not understand why Ava just didn't tell the truth because her story is so crappy.
  12. here i am to be the devil's advocate. a lot of people go to the Olympics for a lot of different things. some people's Olympics are legit the Opening Ceremonies and that's it. they know they're not gonna place. Some people's goals are to be top 20, or top 10. some are to be in the top 5. some want to medal [thus - happy with anything] and some people their goal (and if you look at the path to get there) is gold. and when you don't win. (especially if it's because that day you just didn't play well, or it was a splat fest or whatever). the Silver/Bronze isn't really a "oh I won something." it could be a reminder of i had it in that moment, and i failed. It takes a hot minute (in by minute i mean days, weeks, months, years) to reconcile the fact that while you didn't become the champion that you expected - that you still won). it's a really deep human emotion and I'm not really going to berate people for again not being all rah rah happy happy that they lost when they expected to win mostly because I don't know if I would be all ooh it's okay, if my intention was to win. I would be a good SPORT and clap and be happy for the winner. I just look at like Maroney's bitch pout in London. I actually do remember saying something about it, but now that I am older - i totally. get that face. (I can't even control my own lol so i don't even know why i gave her crap for it). but if you have this idea that I am the best. everyone knows I am the best and you end up not being the best - chances are that's the face i'm making in that moment. when the emotions are more even keel, every athlete will tell you they are happy/proud of their medal and it's just the same as gold. but the first few days etc - I think they're allowed to be emotional the way they wanna be. (as long as they are not complete and utter brats/unsportsmanlike to the others).
  13. The Beam was a ruthless cow all Olympics.
  14. i was going to suggest that too. I saw that one on Degrassi - the baby just went thud and i was like dang. Ooh. okay i have it yeah. I think that was the last one. I've been watching a lot of Newborn Mom shorts lately (the lady who does it is really good). and she had a video about making sure that the baby was supported and the "Dad" (also her) was like i have my eye on it, it's good. but she mom was like no can you please just hold the baby. So what if TJ is puts the baby sitting up or something, Molly makes a comment to please just hold the baby or put the baby in the crib, and TJ is like "look I'm the doctor, you are the lawyer,, I've got this." and then he doesn't. and the baby dies because its not properly supported. (it happens SO fast too, i researched it). so it's still a sad story. it gives the "look it happens, you've gotta remember to properly support the baby." and it's TJ's fault.
  15. we haven't had a SIDS storyline for a while.
  16. i'll bring cookies. oh come on. You know. I am a very positive, optimistic thinking person and I like giving people (or in this case, countries) the benefit of the doubt. but China. you were already caught and you were given a chance and you're still doping. stahp. just stahpppp. i wonder if this means Canada medals...
  17. thanks for the correct. that was a bit of shade on someone else. Sorry someone else! LOL. a bit tisky on Summer. but honestly i think it legit was all. China and Australia. but i said it before i knew it was summer, it was really a bit of let down there. I'll own that bit. Yeah per capita we do decent-ish but it's more of the events that we used to be stupid strong in - we're not as much anymore. i'm not sure why. (I remember i wanna say it was London or Rio - Canada was a gong-show at the regatta and Marnie McBean tore Rowing Canada a huge one saying how not acceptable that was considering our history in that sport). It really looks like it hasn't really taken root because what used to be a good chunk of medals for us in that event, has dwindled to like 1 or 2. (i mean i think it's moved over to swimming ironically enough). Canada's for the most part has ALWAYS been a "second week" country (even in the winter olympics). but if it were me at the COC - i would really identify some sports that you could train in Canada all year round that's affordable for young kids to get into - and reallly pump funding into that. I know it's all about the world coming together etc etc yaa yada, but sometimes i wanna go EEFF YAH CANADA LET'S GOO!!! more than 17 times lmao (and more importantly more than 5 times or so).
  18. and the thing is - they're GONNA do it to Jagger, and so on and so forth. it's so dumb. i have to say when Natalia was talking to Alexis and Sonny i flat out saw Maria. that was really a wasted opportunity they coulda made her a doctor and NOT homophobic.
  19. lol Finals A are where the medals are. Finals B is for placing (in case anyone in Finals A gets DQ'ed or whatnot)
  20. or at least ride over there, am I right? I love equestrian though. (still mad that CBC streaming once again did a poo job at coverage). lol it must be!
  21. Penny won 3 medals in Tokyo (Silver 4x100 Free, bronze in 200m Medley and Bronze in the 4x100 Medley) but she had 2 major knee surgeries which is why she was just on the relays here in Paris. Maggie retired (basically) - so i think she really just came to do well in the relays (which she did. it was the other girl before Summer who really slowed down it seemed - either that or China just really found another gear). Masse did what Masse does [but she's retiring]. So basically our swimming hopes is on Pickrun, McIntosh, Ruck (who has yet to impress me even though she's a good egg). and there is this other girl but i forgot her name. (sorry). they did relatively WELL - all things considering like we had a few double Candians in the finals, and some just missing the final cut so ideally that translate well in the next Olympiad. I know that the Aussie programme pretty much took off after Alex Bauman went down under, and i am still mad how we treated him because i really have to wonder whatever drama that Swim Canada and he had if it resolved would we basically be Australia? and it really makes me wonder WHY Canada hasn't made a big push to make us into a massive threat. yeah i mean like it or not - it's Hockey first everything else after that. which is why for me if it's not so much having a great collegiate programme, at least start having more world class pools and pay people to come up here. (but i will also admit. a lot of international people train in the USA as well). but having following Rowing, Canoe/Kayak (one of my favourite events) and our Diving results. we're not doing well - and we've OFTEN done well there. and it's really making me wonder if the only answer is that Canada needs to host another Olympics to get the funding for the programme and Athletes. (and the massive issue is, Toronto can't afford to host the Games, I don't know about Montreal, and while another Winter Olympics here would be fantastic- i feel that we need the SUMMER games to get more funding for better results)
  22. like i think it's a prerequisite or something. if you are going to be an Olympian you're going to TURN into this hot gorgeous thing. (i need more events with older people in it because some of these people are bebes).
  23. lol it is. but. it also shows that he hit the pole with his shins first but his manhood def. hit that pole too. that is so unfortunate.
  24. Canada won gold in the hammer throw! HOOHAAHH!!
