  1. one of these days i hope Carly does this and because they are in the washroom, Nina can literally say "I need to poop. shut up." yeah this is why I can't watch anymore. Drew might die because you two were stupid. We need Tracy to lower the boom on her.
  2. So clearly outside of snarking with you guys, i am missing nothing.
  3. Yeah. and that's sort of what I mean - like - (to be fair it's been a hot minute since I read any VCA books) but I remember that Dawn pretty much baulked at everything and didn't think "right they kinda mourned me and everything." (I always found it interesting that Lillian named Dawn Eugenia (after the sister she loved) while Dawn represented everything she hated) - it never really explained it either, so it was my head cannon that Lillian really wanted to, or thought if she was at least named over someone she loved so much - she could grow to love Dawn, but it just wouldn't take). I also had to laugh/roll my eyes how they were like "oh yeah we're cursed." lol like you weren't cursed Dawn. a good chunk of your issues was because you were dumb lol
  4. in the books all the cutler kids had staff jobs. Clara Sue had actually "promoted" from cleaning staff to being on reception and Phillip had a job on the grounds - but everyone worked (and worked hard). (the books actually showed Dawn trying to get to know/love Lillian and they cut all that out and basically made Dawn and her butt heads right away). There was never a real "Olivia softening" moment here or there with Dawn v. Lilian, but by cutting out the fact that Dawn did try hurt the actual impact that Dawn had leverage over Lillian with the kidnapping scandal and why until she got pregnant with Christie they were both at an impasse. -as well as Dawn realising more of Lillian's past. She never really "forgave" her but on a Scale of Jillian to Olivia (the 2nd - Melody). Lillian was firmly on the "tamer" side of things. (and again the story is kind of hurt - because we really didn't see "Lillian's" story - even though we got Lillian's story we never saw Laura Sue's story (at all) or any of that really was a shame. [it wasn't until I wanna say the necklace incident and Dawn insisting that she was Dawn not "Eugenia" that Lilian flat out went 'feck it' and went hard core VCA-Grandma mode. (in a matter of speaking) (there were so many mistakes in my original post lmao. Phillip didn't try to kill himself hahhaa i meant Jimmy. i really shouldn't post when i am tired) yah it was really a weird choice (also the fact that Jesse Metcalf can now play a father you know you are old when)..
  5. Ahh Dawn. LOL really missed the fact that I missed talkin about it with yall when it was live but now i can stoke the fires all over again! as y'all said CLARA SUE. LAURA SUE.. geez louise why change that. I am glad that the movies kinda touched my feeling with the book - that while Lillian had no time for Dawn (for obvious reasons) - in a way Dawn going head to head with Lilian just felt like she never really tried to be a Cutler either you know? She butted heads about the name, about the family and everything and I know it would be jarring but i always felt like - maybe if she tried - it might not have been that bad. but the fact that Dawn never did it kinda justified why Lillian treated her badly [in Lilian's mind lol]. it always amused me that Dawn hated Lilian - but then believed everything that Lilian said about Laura Sue. It always bothered me (and the movie never addressed this) they kinda sped through the romance of Dawn & Jimmy. In the books Jimmy really had an issue with coming to terms that they were able to be together. (and it was part in parcel of why Dawn fell for the grooming for Michael) - but i loved how everyone got the dig in that it was kinda gross - because it really was. (It was weird that Ormand didn't show up again because he had an issue with it) I feel the Betty Anne bit was kind of weirdly done. (I know they had to condense it in). but they really kind missed the creepy OMG that Philip had a girlfriend, and Dawn was relieved. but then it was like a big freaky to do that he made Betty Anne dye his hair to look like Dawn. I also really liked that the movie did show that Dawn was very much like Lillian - in the sense that Lillian never broke but bent in a way that made her stronger. It was something that Dawn realized after knew about all the secrets and in a way something I feel hmmm, I don't know if I like the fact that they made Philip basically kill Philip and that's why Dawn was in the boiler room (but then it also kinda makes sense why Dawn was in the boiler room and didn't run out to get help either (in the book). I just found it really crazy that Dawn wouldn't leave. It also really bothered me in the books (and in the movie) that basically everyone just up and left after Dawn died. - it really just felt it was obvious that they were setting up Christie to be VC-Andrews-ized by Philip and i think if they were changing things I would have shown Philip telling Trisha and Bronson and they were okay and to leave (i also find it so insane that Dawn and Jimmy knowing what foster care and everything was like didn't have an ironclad plan for their children's welfare should they die). Dawn always had a soft spot in my heart because it was my first VCA foray and I am glad they did a good job(though no Over the Rainbow from Dawn. Fail) out of it all - Origin is still my favourite because everything until the ending was on point. - Dawn is now 2nd, FITA, Ruby and then Heaven. (also also. once again. disappointed in the house. the Meadows should have been a plantation. Though i actually liked the Cove. it did feel very resort-y)
  6. I saw the promo's for today's episode so all i have to say is this Carly. everytime you say "you'll get back everything that you lost" i wish it would occur to your pea brain that you only lost what you had because you wanted to. YOU gave up Sonny. YOU decided not to take the hotel. YOU decided not to ask for more in alimony. so shut your piehole.
  7. So what was Nina supposed to do push him aside and say "sorry Kid can't talk to you? these people. thanks for the details. Yadayada was right just shades of Red Menace.
  8. thanks. honestly, Nina needs to just flip Michael the bird, and walk away
  9. yeah which sucks. but i mean why was he a little poophole this time (I'm not watching right now). but i did see she was allowed to see Wiley (well that she saw him, LOL i dunno if she was allowed)
  10. Soo Willow didn't die? She's perfectly fine? the baby didn't die? she tell nina again to leave Carly alone? the entire point of this storyline was what? such a waste
  11. I don't really think there is anything wrong with showing virginal heroines though (or someone being really sexual, without having sex). (it's not really towards you, i know there have been a crap tonne of comments of the lack of sex/sexual advances on the Sprina (etc). but both can work. but I mean - for me I like that there are two relationships going on and one is about the smut (even though i hate Jex) and one is a very slow burn in Sprina. or in general anyway not even my love for Jane Elliot can make me watch right now, y'all let me know if something really awesome happens please so i can watch later. :)
  12. I really dont think thats fair because AMC and OLTL also on ABC had multitudes of interracial relationships. (and their prime time shows also have a lot of interactional relationships)
  13. "I'm Carly Spencer, I'll get back everything that I lost."" well Carly considering that you threw away everything that you had.... that statement doesn't have the same impact as you think it did.
  14. well the fact that she had to use the hotel to cover the stocks maybe like everything she had? [because she thought it would be a guaranteed deal that she'd make money back]
  15. honestly this is me. i watch for Tracy, but then I see freaking Olivia call her a bitch, and Tracy doesn't do anything like what's the point
  16. or Nina ends up with Eddie, he remembers being Ned still decide he love Nina, and She becomes a Q - pissing off Olivia AND Michael AND Willow. #winning
  17. right? and my thing is....doesn't SAM own Aurora too? Like how is that conversation supposed to go?
  18. right? or even this Circle back how Carly treated Drew before. that alone is a year worth storyline. I don't know how eager beaver (just because I was presumed dead) I'd be to take back ANYONE in my life who dropped me like a hot potato because I wasn't my twin brother. . let carly earn his trust I mean the woman legit was married to Jason. her big uber dream. let that breathe. then ease into the romance. and then what you said.. like again Sonny/carly are always in each other's orbits. and he should have no time for that garbage. I am actually kind of ticked off we didn't see a lot of him trying to assimilate back into being alive. it was just more Oh hey drew welcome home do stuff like. i still can not wrap my head around the fact that Drew has seven days and his first thought is to sell the company he founded for his daughter's legacy to pay Carly's fine before he goes to jail for three years because Carly never listens to anyone but the damned voice in her head.
  19. to expand on the maurice thing - from what i've heard on twitter etc, Mo was hinting at retiring for a while now and he was tired of Sonny the Mobster. (so the CW/Mike thing was probably a way to accommodate ALL of that) -now i personally would have said "Okay Mo enjoy retirement" I also don't really blame Laura wanting to work with CM.... i just blame the writing.. you could have accommodated those desires without making Drew into a total complete butthole. I know you have to rewrite characters sometime -but this is insane.
  20. Also because it can't be said enough: Shut up Olivia. Like I'm not buying it. (and i really wish they didn't reconcile Ned and Olivia before he Maine'd up, because then at least a lot of her hostility would at least be justified by her guilt. But the fact that she called Tracy a bitch to her face, on top of. A telling Tracy she can't ride with Ned to the hospital B telling Tracy she'd knock Tracy out if she interfered with doctors. C now calling tracy a bitch mother and that's why Ned wants to be Eddie Maine without considering once that Tracy has now lost her eldest son on top of everything else she's lost when Tracy is scared she gets mean(er). and it is so irritating that BLQ is snarly at her and Olivia as well without it clicking through their heads that Tracy lived through this before with Jason. (she's also acting Q'y like they did with Jason but I do think that's natural of anyone in that situation). For all this claim about "family." would be seriously nice if you would think about your husband's mother (also also. yeah. i'm really not here for Gregory and Tracy really not)
  21. Deanna Siritis.. it's what sparked the fact that all of us are Trekkies hehe yes. don't care. Carly for all her screetching about "my responsibility" did not nothing to help herself. Drew is more eager to save Carly than Jesus was to be crucified on the cross. i also know that CM is leaving for filming but Drew has the right to recant his plea (since the bargain is not to what he agreed to). and they could just do trial etc considering his first thought after knowing he's spending 3 years in pentionville is to spend his last seven days to help and screw carly vs. absorbing every moment of his daughter, hell yeah. Like I said. I never knew Drew 1.0. but this dude is so pathetic and disgusting. as much as I hate Sonny - he would NEVER sacrifice his children's financial holdings for anyone. including Carly.
  22. honestly, i've never wanted a SORAS more than i ever did for Scout just so she could blast the ever living hell out of Drewfus.
