  1. I agree with everything you said, but then again, maybe precious Ari thought circumcision is 'silly' just like she dismissed the sacred Christian rite of baptism as 'silly'.
  2. Thank you. I am not Orthodox, but I know that it is a beautiful faith with beautiful rituals. I was moved by the baptism and was offended that it was used as fodder for cheap laughs.
  3. I understand acknowledging Grandma Duggar's death on the show, but watching Michelle and Jinger handing her burial clothes and jewellery over to the funeral director was more than uncomfortable to watch. As bad as that was, it was topped by the intrusive cameras shoved in the sobbing faces of the kids as they recalled memories of their grandmother. The Duggars took a private family moment and turned it into a ratings opportunity. I've seen enough, and am turning it off.
  4. I live in Canada and turned 60 (today). I've worked fulltime for 35 years, and although I could conceivably collect CPP, the monthly amount would barely cover a few utility bills. I'll have to work until I'm 65, and even then the monthly pension won't be much. If Laura was able to comfortably retire at her age, she is luckier than almost all of us.
  5. Her comment about other people's depression, "All I think, is whatever", says everything I need to know about her.
  6. I am really enjoying the most recent episodes. Will and Zoey seem very smart, and I expect a lot of that comes from the nurturing provided by Bill and Jen. I wonder if Will and Zoey's exuberance last year was simply a couple of kids who were bored and therefore all over the place with their energy. They seem to have both matured a great deal, and their vocabularies are outstanding. Now that Will and Zoey have found a way to express themselves through their words, they seen much more calm and confident. The kids are delightful, and Will and Jen are wonderful parents.
  7. I agree! I have a soft spot for him and, by extension, for Jenny. I hope he's as sweet and as sincere as he seems.
  8. TLC has the knack of bringing the most unlikeable group of people together and then bases a show on them retelling their same boring stories over and over, week after week, after week. This is such a lack luster bunch that I long for the days of Daniel, Mohammed, and Anfissa's red make-up bag.
  9. I thought maybe they were celebrating May's birthday at a carnival, and he had candy floss stuck to his chin.
  10. Re: Nicole - I can't watch a hotel scene on this show ever again without thinking of Nicole's classic line, "Ya bunch of bast*rds!".
  11. On a positive note, at least she didn't need to be tarped into the van, so there's that.
  12. Why does Chantal's mother always sound like she's reading her lines?
  13. Zach is a really likeable guy, but it seems pretty apparent that he had few responsibilities when he was growing up. From cooking a simple meal to packing up for the move, he seems clueless. Amy must have done everything for him. It was pretty telling when Tori got Murphy, she commented that she now has three (Zach, Jackson, and now the pup) depending on her. I think she wears the pants in the family, not because she wants to, but because she feels she has to. Having said that, I'm not joining Zach and Tori's pity party about how exhausted they are when their only 'job' consists of playing withJackson and teaching Murphy to walk on a leash.
  14. Dear TLC, you have exhausted any and all snarkable situations with this bunch. Please, let's move on to a new gaggle of desperate and delusional couples.
