  1. That's how I feel about the 2 in general, Colbert was always entertaining but Craig was an experience. You just had to be open to whatever inspired bit of lunacy he came up with. Maybe it's partly the time slot, I always enjoyed Letterman much better before he moved to 10:30/11:30. It's hard to explain but the "Bang Your Drum" song felt like a gift.
  2. Especially ironic considering how the women killed so far hurt story but if LL had died in the undertaking, then it would have generated seasons worth of story for Quentin, Tommy and Oliver.
  3. Minority Report should be good. From what I've read online, quite a few Brits were happy to see the last of Corden, although I probably won't be watching because I'm getting old and only Craig could tempt me to sleep thru work tomorrow. :-)
  4. I alternately laughed and sniffled through most of the show. I could have done without Leno though. Truthfully, I was hoping that he would have something with Peter Capaldi on this one but at least we got a bit of TARDIS sound effects.
  5. Yes. I don't think I disagreed on anything. :-) And I'm glad you pointed out how flat MM is without MQ. So true...
  6. I want to see some signs that the Machine has a snowball's chance to beat Samaritan. The more powerful they make it, the more I distrust the possibility of a logical resolution to the situation. Although I wouldn't mind the last episode closing out a la Battlestar Galactica (the camera focusing in on all the cute robot toys) - with someone booting up an old laptop with some interesting code on the screen... :-)
  7. Creepy kids are jump the shark territory for me. Good episode until then though. ETA: I agree the young actor was very good. Production values were great too.
  8. So basically Eric made a favorite of his oldest son and the others resent it? That's pretty classic motivation in itself. I get uncomfortable thinking that non-bio family members should be treated differently. Which is why I didn't like Rick bringing up the fact that Eric is a non-bio parent. He's Ridge's father in every way that counts. And that's evidently both good and bad if you are a Forrester. Maybe if there is a throne at stake, where legally authority, land and money is entailed in a biological heir, that's a different case. Although with the Richard III DNA analysis, not so different as we would like to think. :-)
  9. I see the 2 situations differently. Michael/GH was literally a prize (long story), which is why he was valued more than the other kids. I didn't watch this show when Ridge's paternity was revealed but I was under the impression that Eric raised him and loved him no matter that he was the bio son or not. And I like that. A lot. Which makes Eric more tolerable to me right now, since this playing his sons against each other isn't exactly admirable. And since both Ridge and Rick seem to have done awful things to each other in the past, I guess I don't have an opinion there. (I only know what I've seen in the last 6 months.) tl;dr - sons and daughters are sons and daughters, blood ties or no... (IMO, of course)
  10. So they took 2 cartoon-ish characters and made me actually care about them. (Deacon and Quinn) Rena Sofer was kind of awesome today. Definitely OTT in spots but laced with just enough pathos... OTOH, any interest I had in Bill just evaporated. Jerk. That's still your son's mother. Not enough Caroline and Ridge but at least they are back. :-)
  11. I don't know if I was supposed to feel more sorry for Quinn than Hope, but I did. Why would Liam want a woman who dumped him because he was 5 minutes late? And one who treats her current husband like crap? Did his mother drop him on his head too many times as a baby? Baffling...
  12. I'm not sure I even want to watch next weeks episode until after the break but I know I won't be able to resist.
  13. I'm not sure I do, mainly because as a criminal mastermind, Elias will have to try and figure out how to turn it to his benefit. Of course, maybe that is what S5 will be - Elias and company - former allies fighting for control of the Machine? If Elias works too closely with TM this year, he will end up knowing or guessing an awful lot. ETA: Honestly though, I'm so very tired of Samaritan. It was an interesting idea very tediously executed.
  14. The TitanTv listings say: Not sure if that changes anything but it's hard waiting for a new episode. So we will get one and then?
  15. I suppose it's too much to hope (no puns intended) that this brings Hope and Wyatt closer together and that, not the baby, is what makes Liam finally focus exclusively on Ivy? Because I know Ivy said anyone who was with Liam had to accept that Hope is in his life but you know she didn't really mean it. (Deep down. Because no one is that selfless...)
  16. Weird. This show seems good about some things and others... not so much.
  17. I meant for the ER. No doubt Hope's personal physician will be much more supportive. It would have helped to have a one liner about them getting in touch with her regular doctor.
  18. Surely they must have some Caroline/Ridge montages in the works?
  19. I have mixed emotions on the flashbacks/montages. I really don't like the music they pick for them but they have been interesting for me, as I've been watching for much less than a year. If they are done well, they are a shorthand for the characters backstory and an alternative to loads of exposition in the dialog. (Which makes sense for the foreign market, too.) I assume the main reason they do them is to save money. Considering how the other soaps look so cheap, if they have to do them to go on location - or even outside - then okay by me. I can live with it. They could mix them up a little, though.
  20. Re: changing names. I just Googled it and the regulations in CA appear fairly straightforward. As long as you aren't trying to commit fraud or evade the law, no problem. You can even change your gender. Pretty sure that's not an easy option where I live... http://www.courts.ca.gov/1051.htm
  21. Yes, this is what I was thinking of. Thanks for clarifying. :-)
  22. GH has an Asian character. They sabotaged him from the start but from what I can tell, he's still around. I did love Ji Min, back in the day though. (A good actor and nice to look at it, so of course he had to die.) ETA: Unfortunately the callous doctor seemed in character to me. But I thought a celebrity like Hope would have merited some extra attention. And speaking of the ER, does Hope always give her name as Hope Logan, not Spencer or Logan-Spencer? (edited again ;-) because evidently Wyatt is really a Spencer, not a Fuller anymore)
