What got a lot of people. George Schultz it turned out had a lot of stock in Theranos. So not only would he have been a terrible judge of character, it would have cost him money. LOT of money. That's how she did it. She charmed people into believing this could be done. And many wanted to believe because who wouldn't prefer a finger stick to a blood draw? Then as she reeled them in, they got stock which would have been worthless if it turned out to be wrong. The part that amazes me is all these so called "savvy" investors would ask to to see the books before deciding. Holmes would say "Oh that's proprietary information, we can't show you that." And they just said "oh okay, here's millions of dollars." They literally never though hmmm no other company I want to invest in says their books are proprietary why are these? That's weird. ONE guy did. He refused to invest until he saw the books. He wound up never investing because of it. And right after he refused is when it all started coming out.

What can they really say? If they try to say anything everyone will point out how badly they handled FF. They have no room to talk about how "right" their beliefs are. I read the article and was livid. Not at the family. They realized their kids needed more than home schooling could give them, so they thought about their KIDS needs instead of control, and got what their kids' needed. Its federal so she will do at least 80% of her time. By the time she gets out, everyone will be all "Elizabeth who?" Oh and that 80ish is only if she is good little girl in prison. I somehow don't believe that she will be. She is a narcissist she can't help herself. She will try to lie and manipulate things inside too.

Since they do keep making money for TPTB the mobs really aren't that effective at stopping someone's career.

The Steelers still have a great culture. Because the culture is not about wins and losses. Its about being a team and working together to build something the right way. Its about patience instead of what have you done lately? That's why they have had only 3 head coaches in the Super Bowl era (maybe its 4). Whereas the Jets don't have that culture. Oh he supports it wholeheartedly. Jill didn't like that he went off to work every day and did stuff that didn't include her. So she decided god called him to full time ministry. He was all "You mean I don't have to go to work every day to support our growing family, I can sit home and stare at the map all day and eat all I want? Heck yeah I want to be a minister." I think God dialed the wrong number when he called Dave to the ministry. The guy has no interest in actually preaching. Or even being a printer for god. He just does the bare minimum to get by and certainly doesn't put in any effort to improve or grow as a preacher or a printer.

Well that's pretty much not in the Bible. There is a parable about planning ahead. Its the bridesmaids at a wedding. Some planned ahead and had extra oil for torches, some didn't. The message was -- you know not when he will come, so be prepared. Not just hope it will all work out. But it explains so much about the Rods. No need to work, go on vacation all the time because you need to live for today. Tomorrow someone else will feed your kids and fix your crappy RV.
