Thanks. I did feel sorry for the doctor because it seemed like there was a lot of people blaming him for this person's death, and I think all he was was the attending physician (like our Dr. Joe). I can't ever understand what they are saying, as my French isn't that fast or fluent anymore, but I've watched episodes and find it enjoyable. I especially love their challenges compared to ours. I always was under the impression, on our version, that there were constantly people around at night-cameramen in case anything went down and just general staff. It's weird. If that's the case here I have to believe they'd be able to prove whether these claims are in fact true or not.
-
Wasn't the French series the one as well that had the contestant who died of a heart attack, and the doctor ended up committing suicide because of the backlash? It was a few years ago. I enjoy Koh-Lanta so this is terrible if true. With all the people around I'm stunned no one either witnessed it or stopped it. Koh-Lanta trends on twitter so I always assumed it was very popular.

Probst having so much control has really ruined this show. And anytime someone tries to give him a contrary opinion, he acts as if they’re in the wrong. Because he’s never wrong. He loves Fiji as a location so how could it ever get boring? He can’t let go of Michele winning KR so everyone must still be letting that interfere in their daily lives. What makes it worse is that some of the outlets that cover the show are so far up his ass just for the perks they get that they won’t dare call him out or cross him. Because god forbid they don’t get to go spend time with the tribes during filming or give their input on challenge ideas. I can’t imagine Survivor without Probst, but I think he’s lost touch with reality and what made this show so great in the first place. I get it needing to evolve to stay fresh, but it’s gone way beyond that.
-
I believe so, although it might be final 5 (I seriously lose track because of the different idols and advantages that have come into play throughout the years). I'm still not seeing how Wendell is getting a winner's edit, but I'm kind of thinking he might pull it off. Perhaps barely.

I don't even like lobster so I'd be all for the burger and fries.

I posted the link in the media thread but TMZ reported on it today. http://m.tmz.com/#!article/2018/05/17/survivor-contestant-punished-breaking-nda-contract-spoiler/

Yes. Shirin said when she went to pre jury Ponderosa 3 days later he was already gone. His claim was he wanted to get home and be with his son, who I believe was only a year old at the time. To be fair, he wouldn’t be the first pre juror to request to go home. Brad Culpepper did during BvsW. However, Vytas was commenting on photos on his IG account and supposedly took a vacation-without the child he claimed he needed to get home to. Vytas also posted on his own FB page that he was having a yoga class on what would have been the last day of filming. Oddly, Caleb was active on SM when he was taken out of KR and I believe was voted off GC (it was his joint Snapchat account with his wife; he was seen in snaps). Yet no consequences for him.
-
It could have even been someone who played this season with them that wasn’t particularly fond of them. I had forgotten about Vytas being uninvited from the reunion. Yeah, he was posting on SM which I always thought was a FU to the show for his early ouster. So maybe that was Alec’s motive.

I think Chris could surprise us and vote Dom out of respect for the game (or just to show he’s got no hard feelings). I don’t think Donathan will vote for Laurel, only because he’s tried flipping and she’s been the one refusing. I’d be shocked if Laurel got one vote. She’s nothing but a coattail rider. She actually seems quite nervous and insecure when having to make decisions, so if she isn’t outright ignored at the FTC I think she could get very flustered. I am sure someone (probably Donathan) will ask why she was willing to stick with 2 guys she knew she couldn’t beat.
-
So Alec was punished, not Kara (so far). He was uninvited from the reunion and will not get that appearance fee. Makes me believe he must not have had much impact on this season. The last time I remember them clamping down on a cast was halfway through KR because Jason was posting spoilers. Maybe they are just fed up with people being able to piece together how a season goes based on weight loss pics (not always a good indicator) and who follows who. The GI cast might have sent them over the edge.

A Follow up to the S37 contestants posting on SM http://m.tmz.com/#!article/2018/05/17/survivor-contestant-punished-breaking-nda-contract-spoiler/ For those that don’t want to click on the link: only one of them was punished, the person was uninvited from the reunion and will not get that appearance fee.

They didn't give us much to dissect from the previews this week. I can't believe it's the finale already! Overall, it hasn't been too shabby of a season. I can't believe Donathan won't be a dead man walking. Hopefully we get some after TC footage around the camp fire because I want to see the fall out there. So it might be a crucial vote at the final 6, but since Dom/Wendell have unplayed idols (real and fake) I have to think we will finally see them come out next week. If Laurel really intended on making a move, she seriously misjudged waiting until the last minute.

This season ranks somewhere in the high middle for me. Not my favorite but it had some really great moments. I just wish it wasn't so predictable. I think they also messed up with the concept of GI. That was a huge bust. Aside from that, I find it a HUGE improvement over last season's snooze fest (where I literally can't remember half the cast or even how many people were in it-not even kidding). Dom/Wendell may be running the show, but I find them likable, and I liked that they were underdogs in the beginning. Dom's actually pretty funny.

Yeah, I've been waiting for this moment all season. Yet as I mentioned before, it didn't leave me as satisfied as I wanted it to. However, Kellyn had her own opportunities to flip her game and get rid of Dom/Wendell, except she was so damn Naviti strong. Call me crazy, but I'd be interested in seeing Kellyn again. Deep down I think there's a far less annoying gamer in there and I'd like to see how she'd do on a second try. I agree with some others who said Donathan's paranoia didn't just come out of nowhere; the RC outcome was him realizing that he was, in fact, on the bottom of the 4 person alliance. Dom/Wendell may not have realized they were feeding his paranoia, and even when they said he could go through their bags, I didn't think they were too convincing. I can see what he was trying to do in telling Wendell that he would vote for Dom as well. It was just poorly executed. I'm still rooting for the kid. At least someone is trying to make a move! I would love to know what Laurel thinks of her edit and gamplay (or lack of), especially tonight, when she basically conceded that she isn't getting rid of Dom/Wendell. Those two continue to play Russian routlette with their idols, and Laurel would probably know more for a fact than Donathan if they planned on pulling them out. She had her chances, and she's blowing them. She seems so different from the girl at the start of the season who was all talk about big moves.
-
My favorite line of hers tonight was saying Wendell didn't deserve to go home because he conceded immunity to her. Well played Wendell. ETA: Oh yeah, if Seabass does get voted off next week, guess he's not reversing the curse of his advantage. I'm more interested in what leads to him getting voted off over anything else in the finale. Tonight he mentioned making moves, so that's the only thing I can think of is he tries getting rid of Dom or Wendell.
-
I'm seeing now why Donathan hasn't gotten a great reception from the cast in exit interviews, but I'm glad he at least was trying to stir things up tonight. Rather than just continue to lead the way for Dom/Wendell to win. Who still have 2 freaking idols.

“I find myself at the bottom” says Kellyn. I took a few moments to let those beautiful words sink in. Not so great there is it, honey? Sadly, her boot wasn’t as satisfying as I had hoped. I wanted an epic blindside damn it! What was Angela’s expression at TC? When Probst said they had to vote a second time. Did she unwittingly help cause a tie vote? Laurel is COMPLETELY worthless. If she makes it to the FTC she needs to openly concede. I don’t care if she’s up against Seabass and Angela. I don’t care if she does take out Dom or Wendell. That ship has sailed for me with her. Was her logic for winning that Dom/Wendell will have a vote split and she’ll get the rest? If Donathan ever returns he needs to learn the difference between when it’s a good time to repeat the thoughts in your head, and just keeping those thoughts in his head. And not to run off like a loose cannon. I’ll give him this, at least he’s trying. He’s just failing miserably. But he’s doing better than Laurel. I wish he had tried to make a move last week without her. Can’t say I was a fan of Wendell or Dom tonight. And since when is Seabass a pirate? I hate team rewards. I liked when it was individuals playing with an occasional team reward thrown in. No shot at Ghost Island? That’s sucked this season anyway, Probst. Big loss. The RC was challenging at least. Too bad they didn’t make IC that challenging anymore.
-
Well, I guess we're seeing the start of Donathan's downfall of his alliance. Wonder if the final 5 is wrong and he goes before Seabass next week. Considering there's that stupid final 4 fire making challenge, I wonder if Laurel wins final immunity and picks Dom/Wendell (thereby completely sealing her fate of not winning), leaving the other to make fire, or if she's the one left making fire. She must have gotten lucky if that was the case.
-
Let’s see if they even get invited to the reunio show. It’ll be interesting if there’s a big clamp down on overall SM usage this coming season because of this.
-
Made me wonder if these two were bitter about their experience so they didn’t care.
-
So if the boot list holds up it’ll be Kellyn or Seabass tonight. I guess if Seabass has an edit that comes out of nowhere then we’ll be saying good bye to him. Him getting voted off makes little sense, unless he is idoled out, or he draws attention to himself. Why he’d suddenly start playing the game now I don’t know. If Donathan tries to go after Dom and gets caught, he could try and pin the plan on Seabass. Kellyn just seems like a likelier boot. But I probably won’t be that lucky. I am curious to see what caught Donathans attention with Dom.

I liked the caption in the photo (it was as though it was directed at TPTB). I had posted this in the spoiler thread in case anyone wanted to openly discuss the two contestants in question, but I'm curious if they did something to royally piss off production. Last season GI contestants were showing up at charity events and cast parties, and Seabass/Jenna had their own IG account before the cast was revealed. I thought they had just given up on their SM rules. I'm guessing invisible or terrible edits.

http://m.tmz.com/#!article/2018/05/15/survivor-season-37-contestants-out-themselves-5-million-dollar-nda/ Not really a spoiler other than it applies to 2 contestants for this upcoming season. To be fair, though, several of the GI pre mergers were discovered by their SM connections. Other Survivors from GI were showing up at events when former contestants said they shouldn’t have been. I know there use to be a SM rule in place but I thought they gave up on that. Not to mention, one of this seasons contestants was spoiled publicly before filming was to begin.

I never followed him off of TAR, so I'm not overly familiar with what he's done in Hollywood. I did like him and his dad on TAR, though. He's kind of a surprising choice from TAR to pop up.
