  1. Here's one comment Jeff made during a pre-show MvsGX interview (at the time, he was entertaining the jury change that was coming for GC): It's not the first time he's made a comment similar to that. I know his sentiment following KR was that he was very pro-Aubry and not at all happy with the outcome. Maybe he just hated Scot and Jason that much that he took it out on Michele. I wouldn't put it past Probst.
  2. I'll again say that they may be planning on bringing Dom back in the future, so that could explain his more visible and laid out edit compared to some of the others. Wendell winning wouldn't surprise me. This jury is going to be kind of interesting, and I'm always curious what they'll go for: respect for game play or social bonds? So again, if it's more game play, can Wendell's game play be respected or will he be seen as someone who was just following Dom? The edits are interesting, because Wendell seems to be creating the social bonds and Dom playing the strategic game. Some could argue Dom didn't really do anything but target those targeting him and getting lucky to have the numbers on his side. Clearly being a social player has its benefits, but I don't know that Dom has done too shabby. I don't think I've seen any booted castaway say anything bad about him. I always thought the feud with Chris was stupid and more one sided, because you had one guy targeting the other, so that guy fought back. Again, though, stranger things have happened on this show. If Angela or Chelsea suddenly get a uptick in confessionals this week I guess they are winning (or getting voted off).
  3. I'd actually be fine if they did that. I'd love to see Survivor contestants in the BB house, and BB houseguests "roughing it" on the island. When it comes to TAR, I wouldn't need pairs that are strictly made up of Survivor and BB contestants. If that person had a different loved one they'd want to race with that wasn't connected to the show, I'd be fine with that (but I realize why TAR goes for the actual couples). I can only imagine if Dancing with the Stars was on CBS-these people really would have it made in not having to work for a few years.
  4. Chelsea isn’t the first (nor the last) to get such an invisible edit. I chalk it up to not playing along with the theme/story line or making yourself outrageous enough to stand out. Sadly, this seems to apply to women more than men in this series.
  5. I think that only applies to TAR. Though I'm kind of surprised CBS hasn't done this idea before-BB/TAR contestants on Survivor, Survivor/TAR contestants on BB, and so on. I know they've had crossovers before, but never a full season of them. In terms of S38-I know it was rumored S37 or S38 was going to be returning players in some form (either a full or half season). Last I heard both were supposed to be newbies, and S37 is. I do know some former Survivor contestants said that those contacted were told not to make any plans because a returning player season could still be happening for S38. With how much Probst has hyped certain contestants (especially from HHH that were pre-jury) I wouldn't be surprised if this is true.
  6. I think Dom and Wendell deserve the win more than Laurel, but I do think she's going to face a bitter jury. Even though she was right about Des targeting Kellyn, so in reality Kellyn shouldn't be bitter at her, I think she'll be lucky to get one vote. I can't blame Laurel for the game she's played or sticking with Dom and Wendell, even though there's no way she'll beat either of them. But if she were to manage to get one or both of them out, where does that leave her? At least her odds of making the final 3 are better with them, and if she managed to vote either of them out, she still might have a hard time pulling off a win.
  7. Michael didn't have good things to say about Laurel or Donathan. I'm still leaning towards jealousy with Donathan, considering whose been giving the interviews. If someone like Chelsea or Angela says something negative about him, then I might wonder. I did laugh at this bit from his Gordon Holmes interview:
  8. Assuming Seabass is next (and I'm still puzzled why him, unless there's some funky vote split and he goes home on the re-vote, or he's just the less paranoid and suspicious of everyone left). I mean, I can't figure out why they'd target him, so maybe they go after him because that's everyone else's assumption, too. So going along with Seabass/Chelsea/Kellyn as the next 3 boots, I'm going with Seabass gets idoled out. The following week it's a free for all between Kellyn/Angela/Chelsea trying to maintain their numbers and place in the game. Kellyn and Angela just vote with the majority until it's their turn in the pecking order. What I think could happen with the Donathan boot is one of three things: the two simplest explanations are he's idoled out or Angela wins immunity at the final 5, and he gets voted out that way. Or he goes Will Wahl and tries to make a big move in getting out Dom or Wendell, thinking Angela and Laurel go along with him. Correctly, he'll be right that Dom/Wendell will be tough to beat. However, at that point, I think Laurel will stick with Dom/Wendell and vote Donathan out.
  9. I did start a spoiler thread for S37, but it probably got buried. So far there's nothing spoilery in there, and last I heard it was all newbies anyway for S37. S38 still seemed up in the air for newbies or returning players, and that season hasn't started filming yet (will likely start in June, so I'm sure we'll at least know the returning players if that's the case). S37 should be almost done filming.
  10. I wouldn't rule out Wendell. It's hard to see a case for anyone else winning at this point, although with this show who knows. Someone like Chelsea could win but they hyped Dom up so a return appearance down the road made sense. At this point, based on editing though, Dom and Wendell seem likely contenders. Wendell is funny, because he'll be invisible, show up for the big moments, then disappear again. I think he'll get called a side kick to Dom and not get respect. I am wondering if Laurel or Donathan end up making a big move that could win respect from the jury. They might decide to get the opposing alliance down in numbers and then flip. It's hard to say if that would even work, but honestly, I'd love to see it happen.
  11. I do agree about the atmosphere of Ponderosa being different. I loved the first ever season they did in Micronesia. We saw the contestants board a boat and then get into a car that took them to the Ponderosa location. But we got immediate reflections from them about their ouster. The contestants were always waiting there with food and beer for them. But it wasn't so much going to get weighed, looking in the mirror, talking about food, and then having some thing that they do. It was more natural. It didn't seem as much like a show. And I'll forever love the big party they had at the end of Micronesia, where Erik got wasted. I don't know why they don't show the final 3 showing up anymore. I think that was the only season that did? Oh, and we'd get to see them head out to the next TC, now as jurors, which was kind of cool. And I'd still love a pre-jury Ponderosa, even if the contestants didn't do much in the game.
  12. I am crossing my fingers and praying to the Survivor gods that this happens. If she runs afoul of Dom next week, he may very well plant that for her to find, then vote her off. Kellyn really has not been getting a good edit; seems kind of comedic in nature. It'll be interesting if next week we see a split of Angela/Kellyn/Chelsea/Seabass vs Donathan/Laurel/Dom/Wendell. If Kellyn tries to recruit Laurel and/or Donathan to vote off Dom/Wendell, they will no doubt run right back to the guys and tell them. Luckily for their side, both their guys have working idols. I could even see Kellyn making a blunder and telling L/D that "at least you'll get 5th and 6th if you go with us."
  13. And yet he was equally pissed that they didn't show him letting curses fly from his mouth after his boot, saying he went on a expletive filled tirade for about 5 minutes. All we got was Dan saying 'eh, good run' and being all smiles. Hee. Made me actually love TPTB that season the more Dan complained. I'm kind of disappointed we didn't see more of Jenna. I do wonder sometimes if these people hold back on the show, or don't play along with whatever stupid story line TPTB are crafting for them so they don't get the airtime as a result. It seems it's very much the Dom show at this point.
  14. They had posted a photo together that made it seem like they were a couple, but I don't know if they truly or are not. Michael doesn't seem like the type to pretend to have a romance just to further himself in getting on other CBS reality shows or any other opportunity. Libby doesn't, either. I do hope Michael returns. I actually think he was one of the better game players this season, he just got struck a raw deal with being on Malolo. His idol bluffing did almost work. If he only he had played that idol for Brendan. It hurts worse that he said Brendan's name first, then switched to Stephanie.
  15. So Kellyn looked pretty peeved at someone in the previews-did she get grilled by Dom about the extra vote, or is she upset at someone else? Maybe Donathan because she still has the mentality of Naviti strong and she thinks he's raining on their parade? And I'll say it again next week, but I hate the family visit.
  16. At some point they'll probably come to that. Since they aren't leaving Fiji anytime soon, they are going to need something to fall back on in terms of themes and twists.
  17. I like to think they were trying to make Kellyn paranoid and were just doing a 'pss pss pss" into each other's ears. Otherwise, I have no idea. Unless it was to be two overconfident jerks. But I still like them. In reality, the only person I'd absolutely hate to see win right now is Kellyn. Angela and Chelsea have barely gotten screen time that I can't believe either of them win, but something about Chelsea I like despite her quiet edit (I think it's an unfair edit myself). Seabass would be hysterical to see win just to see if he even realized he was a game show and won the grand prize. Laurel's okay, and Donathan would be an okay winner too. I am still rooting for Wendell or Dom, though.
  18. I think she may have especially pissed Dom off. She was mad at someone in the preview and said Naviti wasn't a happy family anymore (I don't think they have been for awhile). So Dom may ask why she didn't tell him about her extra vote and then not trust her going forward. I do hope it leads to her downfall. Seabass is next on the list if it's true, but he's kind of a puzzling choice to go. Of course if he'd get any airtime maybe that would help explain it.
  19. Well, I was really hoping the boot list would be off, but not surprised. Hoping that Kellyn will be the next one to go, and that this episode will be the lead up to her downfall.
  20. I find it amusing that Jenna was virtually invisible all season until tonight, only to look kind of like a crazy flirt, then gets voted off and fittingly doesn't even get any final words.
  21. This show officially jumped the shark tonight. Two tribe swaps wasn’t enough this season, they have to temporarily divide them into two tribes tonight?! And Malolo just couldn’t get a majority anytime they were swapped into different tribes, could they? Such a dumb episode because it was all about the one IC and two TC. Didn’t get my hopes up at all at the false editing that Kellyn might actually go home. She is an idiot at this game though, so I guess she’s fun to watch act like she knows what’s going on when she really has no clue. Dom wanted Michael gone so unless he was pulling off a fantastic lie it was obvious Michael was going. Same with Jenna and her out of nowhere edit. I usually hate double eliminations like this, but I guess the good part about it (and Michael being gone) is the two predictable targets are gone, so maybe next week it’ll be interesting again. And that’s the only good thing I can say about Michael being gone. Yay Chelsea on winning another immunity! And seriously, where did Jenna come from?! I loved her “nobody hugged me” after Michael got a farewell send off. Donathan was smart to play the idol for himself. He has no loyalty to Jenna. Michael, I refuse to believe you won’t be back, so practice your idol bluffing stories in the mean time. And I’m so confused about idols this season-did Dom find another real one? Also, what is the point of Ghost Island if it isn’t going to be used every ep and they are just going to hide idols around camp.
  22. So tonight will be interesting if the boot list goes back on track and we have a Michael/Jenna boot (I'm at least leaning towards Jenna due to the preview at the end of last week), but with a double boot, this could be a chance to blindside someone.
  23. Definitely less tribe switches. Even if they were worried Malolo would get steam rolled over, they didn't seem to mind it with Ulong or Matsing. Eventually they would have had a swap. And who knows, Naviti might have thrown a challenge anyway to get rid of someone. As for Michael, I'm just going back to him not having the bonds with Donathan/Laurel (one or both of whom I suspect was on the bottom of Malolo, and likely would have been next). I don't know exactly where Laurel stood, but I didn't get the impression Donathan was with the in crowd. Michael's closet allies seemed to be Brendan and Stephanie. After they were gone, I think it was every Malolo for themselves, and unfortunately there wasn't anyone from Naviti willing to flip that would give him numbers anyway.
  24. This actually got me thinking, for as much talk about Laurel and Donathan needing to decide soon if they want to stick with Dom and Wendell, the same could be said for those two. It does make me wonder if they will decide who is easier to beat in the end-Laurel/Donathan, or some combo of Chelsea/Seabass/Kellyn/Angela. Wendell seems close to Laurel, and I'm curious where he sits with Dom right now. I could see Dom being the one to flip on Laurel/Donathan before they flip on him (and over Wendell flipping on them), if he decides not to go any further with them. Wendell is another one whose getting kind of a curious edit. First we got nothing, then he became kind of central to the plot, now he's back to being in the background. I believe he's pretty much up on decisions and what's going on, considering he hasn't even attempted to play his idol despite his name being thrown around constantly.
  25. I think Kellyn thinks she has an alliance with Dom. I don’t know if that’s going both ways. My guess is she voted out Des because she assumed she still had the numbers, that Des would probably be less pissed at her on the jury (even though she gave Des a reason not to trust her for the earlier Libby vote), and that Des was targeting her.
