Redmond updated the list-a familiar face has been added if you've watched TAR. Mike White who appeared with his father Mel on TAR 14 and TAR 18. Wonder if we'll be getting any crossovers for BB this summer.

So based on the spoiled cast, I could see the tribes being like this (give or take because there's always someone who winds up on a tribe with a theme that has little to do with them): David: Gabriela, Jessica, Alec, Carl Goliath: Bi, Alison, Angelina, Natalia, Daniel, John, Nick Not sure: Kara, Davie, Jeremy (since we don't know what he does yet)
-
He had said it was supposedly a David vs Goliath type theme (or as I like to call it, WA 3.0 except it's only the white collar vs the blue collars). Funny thing is, I'd heard this theme rumored a few seasons ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. I'd be surprised if that's what they really call it, but I can see them doing a strong vs weak type tribe format. ETA: Yep, David vs Goliath. Common people vs successful people. So blue/no collar vs white collar? Sorry, but they really need to get out of Fiji. There are plenty of locales where the cast won't suffer. These themes are getting ridiculous, especially because they amount to absolutely nothing by episode 3. International versions prove you don't need Fiji or stupid themes to be successful. http://insidesurvivor.com/survivor-season-37-theme-and-title-revealed-33895

Given the track record of POC on this show in recent seasons (especially the ladies) I don't have my hopes high. I want to see the Cirie's and Yul's and Sandra's again. Bi has me intrigued for the ladies, but I can't say anyone else is jumping out at me right now. I seriously feel like I can say "hey, they were just on HHH or GI" looking at some of their photos. I am curious what the theme will be. I've seen rumors on another site ( @anthonyd46 posted on another site a possible theme, but not sure if that's true). Not like themes really matter in the long run, anyway.

I love Hali. I think she's way better of a player at this game than she's been given a chance to prove. I'd probably be in the 1% but I'd love seeing her back a 3rd time (though I doubt she would do it). That guy, Nick, gives me a Bradley vibe.

Feels like I’ve already seen this cast play. ETA: Looks like the hot cop that was spoiled early on didn't get his chances hurt by that getting revealed.

Could apply to quite a few people. Laurel for having yet another chance to get Dom/Wendell out but not doing it (and if there's a plan to blindside them maybe she tells them and they play their idols). Donathan, as we see him in the preview potentially targeting Dom ( I think that'll be more of a red herring though from what we know). Angela/Seabass/Kellyn for the same reasons as I mentioned about Laurel-having a chance to blindside them but not doing it.
-
Laurel seems to have absolutely zero confidence. I'm wondering if she'll pull an Amanda (China/Micronesia) at the FTC and totally crack. I can see her having a hard time if the jury is rough on her, and I think Dom/Wendell have the charisma. I'm leaning towards a Dom win. Wendell just seems a little too invisible to win, but I wouldn't be completely shocked.
-
Wow, I had totally forgotten about that! Yeah, he definitely picked the wrong season to introduce that. Has anyone been out there looking for food or working around camp at all? Usually we get some glimpse of it, though not like we did in the old days.
-
See, I don't think I'd get emotional seeing a loved one. But if my cats could be brought out there? Blubbering mess. And if someone actually had their pet out there, that would tug at my heart strings more than them seeing their child or parent. I'm totally one of those people who roots for the animals in movies. I don't care if every person gets killed, just let the dog live!

I think Laurel hopes anyone but her will get Dom/Wendell out so she can claim loyalty to them, won’t have to get her hands dirty, but increases her chances of winning. How she’ll still claim she made any moves I don’t know. I wish Donathan had been brave and forced a tie and got Wendell out on the re vote. He could have possibly swayed Seabass or maybe Laurel would have jumped on board. He could have argued to Seabass that Wendell had an idol so why not get him and his idol out. Laurel was someone I wanted gone badly pre show because of all her talk about wanting to be remembered, making big moves, and running the game. Saying ‘I want to be remembered” didn’t work out for Dan Foley like he hoped, and I don’t think it’ll work out for Laurel like she hoped. She is nothing like that person in the pre show interviews. I got thinking, doesn’t Dom have a fake idol? Maybe he’s planting that, or letting Donathan see him with that so he’ll think he has two.

I’m curious myself, because he already has an idol and Donathan knows it so it’s not like he’s be concealing that. Unless he finds another one.
-
Even if it's not the actual cast, it's probably pretty close to what we'll get anyway.
-
Can they play their idols on a re-vote? I thought they could only do it before the first vote was read. Guess Donathan must be catching some flack tonight. I have to imagine Laurel is, too, for not turning on Dom/Wendell when she knows she can't win.
-
Laurel may realize she's in a no win situation at this point. Go with the Naviti girls and be on the bottom of numbers once the men are picked off. Go with them tonight knowing Donathan won't flip and risk a tie, and then have Dom/Wendell after her next week. Or stick with Dom/Wendell who've protected her since they made an alliance, even though she knows she can't beat them. If she manages to make the final 3, I'll be curious how she'll spin being something other than a number in an alliance who did what Dom/Wendell said. Unlike Donathan, I don't know if she's happy about her situation. But then again, Donathan may actually believe he can win or take out Dom/Wendell later.

I knew as soon as Sebastian had no airtime he wasn't going. Was really hoping Chelsea's name being thrown around was a red herring. I'm hoping next week it'll finally be Kellyn. Sebastian going at this point makes little sense, unless he gets idoled out for some strange reason. I can't see him suddenly trying to make a move and draw attention to himself. Why he goes before Angela is what I'm interested in seeing, unless Angela wins immunity the episode he's voted off. Donathan said something tonight about taking Dom out and not waiting until it was too late. I wonder if that's foreshadowing to him getting voted off at the final 5, and he tries to make a move with Laurel and Angela but it backfires. I guess Laurel is a no win situation at this point no matter who she goes with. Wish she had tried making a move sooner when she might have had numbers.
-
I think I'd like to go gambling with him. He's definitely a betting man because there's been two TC where it looked like he might actually go. I was shocked tonight that he didn't play his idol. Forgot to add, the best part of the episode was the Malcolm flashback. I will forever curse JT's name for ruining his chances during GC.

Well, that was a disappointing episode. And this coming from someone who likes Dom and Wendell, but this season is sure going to get even more boring. Donathan sure is cocky for someone that has no chance of winning. I wonder if he knows that yet. I wasn’t sure if he was giving Wendell a signal or that was a Keith Nale “stick to the plan” blunder. Maybe he’s just trying to audition for a return appearance. I’m starting to see why ousted castaways aren’t fond of him. I really liked Chelsea, and I wish she got more screentime, especially for being such a challenge beast. Damn you editors for toying with me about Kellyn again. I thought for sure she was getting blindsided. Holy shit, they’ve really given up on Ghost Island, haven’t they? Just putting advantages in plain sight now? I didn’t even think the concept sucked as much as I thought it would. They should re-name this season “We should have voted out Dom and Wendell when we had the chance.” That black part of my heart hates the family visit (though I was dying to see Sebastian’s loved one). I liked during Cook Islands when the loved one was the one who picked who went on reward with them, not the contestant. I don’t think Angela looks old enough to have a daughter that old. Yeah Kellyn, Dom and Wendell were so worried they left you 4 girls back at camp-the 3 of you plus Laurel. Little did you know. If I liked Kellyn any, I would have agreed with her point about the family visit. Since I don’t like her, that same black part of my heart just smiled at her misery. Glad Laurel at least recognizes she can’t beat the guys.
-
Actually, maybe this is why Kellyn was so pissed in the promo. She was mad for not getting picked for the loved ones visit, and since we see Chelsea/Angela they didn’t get picked, either. I can see where Dom/Wendell might take Sebastian to sway him to their side.
-
I'm guessing Dom/Wendell will get targeted again (because I really don't see who else would qualify as power couple). Sebastian being seen as part of a power couple though is quite hilarious. Will we see an idol be played? If Laurel/Donathan plan on staying with Dom/Wendell, this could be the turning point of the game (or basically the turning point where we go back to one alliance picking off the other next week).

Filming should be done so hopefully we learn the cast soon.

While I agree about Scot and Jason, I also think Aubry was going to have an uphill battle. I don't believe she ever had Julia's vote, and she wasn't getting Debbie's. The only person who they might have swayed was Cydney, but that still wouldn't have mattered. I just don't get why Probst has such an issue with that particular season and outcome. I re-watched Gabon recently, and talk about a jury with a vendetta! Since there was already an anti-Sugar majority in the jury it's not like they had to do much persuading to anyone anyway, but they openly said they were voting for Susie just to spite Sugar out of getting 2nd place. Similarly we saw that happen in SJDS when Reed threw a vote Jaclyn's way so Missy wouldn't get 2nd. If we had the new jury format in any of those seasons, it still wasn't changing the outcome. I do think Michele had a better social game than Aubry, but maybe that goes deeper into the dynamics of real life: the young pretty girl is going to bond better with the jerk jocks and pretty people than the awkward nerdy girl. I was actually surprised by the number of confessionals Michele got, because I literally remember very little about her. Michele isn't someone I'd care to see come back, but I guess I wouldn't care if she did, either. I'd love to see her blow Probst out of the water, however. I do agree her returning makes more sense than some of the other people that they've brought back.

Where I disagree with Jeff is what makes a bitter jury and what makes a great winner. In reality, it's a popularity contest. TPTB are their own worst enemy because they helped create the bitter jury concept going all the way back to season one with the rats vs snake speech by Sue Hawk. Instead of telling contestants to not take it to that level in later seasons, they no doubt have been encouraged to lash out and act up in front of the cameras. And, it makes them memorable. I'm surprised they didn't change the jury format up after Russell lost (twice). I think Aubry played a decent game, and while I didn't agree with Michele's win, I can't blame her for winning, for creating social bonds, and for getting a more invisible edit. Even in the finale, it seemed like they were telegraphing an Aubry win. I kept waiting for the votes at the winner's reveal before realizing that there was no way who I thought was the obvious winner was winning. While I may not be a Michele fan, I do have to sympathize with her that her win keeps getting trashed by Probst and that she wants to come back solely to redeem herself. Out of all the outcomes, that's one he seems to go back to the most. I also don't think changing the jury format to what it's been changed to really matters. I can also agree with Probst that Jason and Scot were two bitter assholes, but they weren't the first nor the last, and I really don't think they had much to do with convincing the jury to vote for Michele. Losing Neil didn't even hurt Aubry's chances, she was never going to win with that jury.

Kellyn winning would ruin what would be a decent season for me. I don't think her edit supports a win, though. She's been kind of on the bumbling side. Can you imagine her winners montage? "We're Naviti strong!" cuts to Dom/Wendell strategizing with Laurel and Donathan to vote off Kellyn. "Michael has an idol! He didn't show it to me, but he has one!" Cut to Michael saying he hoped his idol bluff worked. This season hasn't been bad. Oddly enough, I think it was stronger pre-merge, despite Naviti running the show and Malolo getting Pagonged. Usually it's the merge part where my interest picks up, but this season it's been the opposite. I am hoping now that Jenna/Michael are gone it does pick up, and doesn't stay boring and predictable. I still think this season beats the last 4. And there isn't really a winner that would totally disappoint me. I'd be fine with Dom or Wendell first and foremost, but after that, I don't really care, as long as I don't hear "The Winner of Survivor Ghost Island, despite Ghost Island being something we barely utilized, is Kellyn."
