I am liking it more than 90DF, too. Already caught up and started today!

Just started here, too, and surprised by the lack of activity. I think the matchmaker aspect makes it different from 90 Day because they have a coach to smooth over the process and someone to vet a little more than these people typically do on their own. lol

A fool and his money … I cannot imagine buying something that Ariana has endorsed or produced to be part of a stupid, scandalous fad. Disclaimer: I have never particularly cared for her. I don’t think ANY person on this show is particularly decent and I would never hang with any of them so she does not stand out amongst the rest, good or bad, in that regard. Perhaps this is why she has more money than me but I have too much pride to capitalize on my own humiliation because my SO cheated on me with my friend.* In terms of friends, please. Particularly for the relative newbie Raquel - were they bffs for all of 4 months? I don’t think most of these people on the show have real, genuine friendships.

I think some of it is Ariana is just not a particularly likable person. I have seen people in this thread describe her as “smug.” I have always felt like she had a pretty high opinion of herself, which is laughable as someone who has hitched her wagon to Tom Sandoval, such a douchebag, for 9 years. The constant, foulmouthed invective is just not a flattering look, no matter how righteous your anger might be. Just makes her look really low class. So I don’t find it difficult to believe some people reconsidered how sympathetic a figure she is.

I just read something from LA saying they asked him to come back but his story arch is very short because he fit this in between two other gigs. So it is literally just a dark, jarring tale thrown in just for shock value, I guess. Maybe it is some contrivance to bring Sharon and Nick or Sharon and Chance together. The Sharon character has way bigger problems than the lack of a boyfriend, however. She has been a mess (and not in a good way) for a long ass time. Pairing her with both Jack and Victor (ew) was a terrible idea. I liked Shadam with MM, I must admit. But they they made her bipolar and crazy enough to burn down the ranch. They put her working for the police dept (laughable except Kevin did, too) only to shoehorn her with Rey. Finally, they camped her overdone face (and, besides her hair, I have always been envious of her looks - esp her figure) at Crimson Lights only for her to spy on the doings and conversations of others so she could dart her eyes around and offer sage advice. Sharon needs a re-do and this ain’t the way.

It really is such short-sighted writing because a character cannot come back from that. Maybe they don’t want him to. Then again, these people had Victor bring in a doppelganger to sexually assault Phyllis repeatedly and the show played it off as a joke! So why would we expect more?

I don’t care how much they play the “sexay sax” music with Nate and Victoria love scenes. Or the cheesy dialogue that gets them turned on by discussing business. That “romance” is a total dud. Nothing compelling about it.

In his old pictures, the shirts had “TSD” on them so I am assuming that was Tennessee School for the Deaf. I think sending kids to a deaf school can actually be a loving thing to do for them as I have heard they can get very connected to a deaf community and culture. But then being ripped from that must have been so difficult for him. I don’t understand, however, not learning ASL if you have a deaf child. He is someone who seems easy to root for - I hope they don’t ruin that! I am so sorry about Madison. I would talk to her every day, too.

Amanda reeeaallly needs to skip the boyfriend-in-Romania thing. It would be a bad idea even if it involved the nicest, most genuine guy next door but especially when it is this “influencer”/player from Eastern Europe. Her sister (probably among others) has tried to tell her but she won’t listen to anyone. A friend’s mom married fairly soon after his father’s death. The marriage failed. In hindsight, his mother recognized that the relationship was based on panic. Here she was this widow and having to support and raise 4 kids on her own. She was just seeking security but this guy likely won’t even provide that. And the rituals with the ashes is just really not appropriate, inmnsho, with those kids. I agree they ALL need therapy.

It seems to me that if Nick really did care for Sally and she is at risk for pre-eclampsia, he would insist that she move out of hotels and into an actual home or apartment. What is with GC not having any homes? We finally saw Sharon’s house for the first time in months but other than that, we only routinely see the Abbott House and Devon’s apartment. Occasionally we will get a glimpse of Chelsea’s apartment, the Ranch or Nates penthouse. But that is it. When is the last time we saw the Chancellor entryway? Or Michael and Lauren’s home? Phyllis has been homeless for years. Is it that expensive to have a set? I miss Brad’s house, Adrian Korbel’s apartment, even Phyllis’s apartment with the Three’s Company rounded door. What I DON’T miss? the tack house

Wondering if MTS is on the Ozempic train. Her weight has fluctuated some in the last 10-20 years but she seems pretty thin.

I am thinking about housewives across the franchises and wondering if you need a storyline if your personality (good or bad) is compelling by itself? I am thinking of Vicki’s, for example. She had the stuff with divorcing Donn and then Brooks but mostly it has just been people wanting to watch her. Or am I wrong? She was just going on vacation when she was screaming about a family van, for example - one of her most infamous lines. I think when they try too hard, it is very easy for them to get so mean and that is a turn off for a lot of viewers. To me, Jersey was most must-see-TV when the dorters were younger before the legal trouble and the unending Gorga drama. I guess Danielle brought negativity but she was never interesting to me.

Gia’s TH where she was wearing white - omg she looked like a 45 year old woman with all of the make-up troweled on. Do these girls (and their mother) not realize that this is the best time of their lives to enjoy young, fresh skin? Oh … gosh….they have the rest of their lives to have to “enhance” their looks. That fake look is just so gross and I think Gia is naturally pretty. (Melania has always sounded like a hungover 60 year old smoker.) What a waste of youthful looks. Even the 12 year old shamefully looks like she will be at the club. Melissa and Joe are just downright pathetic and I am obviously not a Giudice fan. She has been trying to find an alternative narrative and none have stuck (pop singer, boutique, wanted to find a long, lost sister, wanted a baby, marriage troubles, home renovations) so she goes back to the tired old family feud. Eh … trying too hard to convince us, I think, probably. Someone mentioned earlier how inappropriate the wedding was for a child like Olivia. What about her daughter Audriana, who was only 12?! I am sure that circus atmosphere was also difficult for Louie’s son, who could very well have sensory issues - particularly the brass band.

I think the crop did her no favors. Most of the women on this franchise have flat stomachs, very little body fat. Healthy people seem “fat” by comparison.

Reminds me of another terrible storyline back in the day if we worry this “Phyllis death” is the worst ever. Dru was hopped up on Nyquil and we were supposed to believe Malcolm took advantage of her altered state to seduce and impregnate her. Because we all know a specimen like Shemar Moore was so desperate he was up for flu sex.

A birthday party with attendees doesn’t also necessarily mean she has “friends.”She could have just invited kids whose moms are friends or just acquaintances at school. Jen might have been trying to build friendships with OTT party invitations, too, which is not unheard of. The Gorgas all talk about being so “old school” so it surprises me that they are OK with their minor daughters showing so much skin on national TV. (I mean it doesn’t that they do - I just think they are phonies who are willing to sell their kids out for fame and money.) Audriana is 12!!! That is 6th or 7th grade. Even Antonia, who I think is not as revealing as the Giudice kids she just has a lot to contain. lol I am sure plenty of high school girls are jealous. And while I don’t think she needs to dress in a burqa, Joe seems the type to brag about cleaning his shotgun when boys come over (I hate that trope) but puts his daughter on national TV in revealing clothing? I think both sets of parents would do anything to and with their kids to stay “relevant” on TV and bring in money.

You remember more detail than I do, I am sure, but I do have an image of Victoria, Art Historian, sitting in front of a fake one with some Modge Podge and then some very bad special effects. This Phyllis storyline is bad but there have been some doozies. lol

I just caught up on this show and don’t know how I feel about it. It is easy to watch - is that a good thing? I always find myself annoyed by things so I am a tough audience but this is so cliched. Tortured rock stars. I find the Daisy character the worst - flouncing around on stage, hard to handle. I hope it gets better. I am surprised there is not more traffic here, though.

I don’t see anything to suggest that he or his sister only care about her money. To me he seems like a thoughtful son. I am guessing EVERYONE in her life thinks someone her age moving to Morocco for a 20-something boyfriend is CRAZY.

I just can’t with this STUPID video game idea. The people who came up with this must be the same people who thought Phyllis and Nick gaming when they first started their affair was realistic and/or cute. I do not game but I live with gamers and ain’t no way some kid is going to want to play a video game about depression? WTF. Not to mention the dialogue with the kids (like Conner) surrounding gaming is sooooo fucking lame.
