  1. I was thinking that the dealer knew why the police were coming, you would think he would take the night off and lay low. But then in the end with him talking at the club and not the squad I room can only assume they let him go without a drug charge.
  2. Well TV of today is different from TV of the 70s when I remember the pimp Rooster on Baretta and ex pimp Huggy Bear on Starsky and Hutch as friendly characters.
  3. They were all over Sunset with men on Santa Monica until the 1984 Olympics cleanup. Somehow they never returned in the pre Olympics numbers

    S06.E07: Crushed

Or so LA County Sheriffs for generations think. I am generally amazed by many of the TV characters who somehow got a CCW.

Or fired police supervisors are sent back to their old station. Somehow nannies are able to get concealed weapons permits. And so on, and so on.
  6. I just noticed that she directed the episode

    S06.E07: Crushed

Detective Lopez accidental knocked the nanny's bag off of the arm or back of a chair I think
  8. Actually no there are not. All LA County paramedics are also firefighters, like Gage and DeSoto of Emergency in 1970 and many LA City firefighters are dual rated, with extra pay, as paramedics and the first response on many medical runs is by a fire engine with a paramedic aboard and people wait for a rescue ambulance to get free.
  9. Not jurisdiction, but rather a black operation. Thus ex CIA agent Tennant had to go to the black market in Belgrade to get ELITE its weapons for the operation. Although I guess if any member of ELITE was captured or killed by the Serbians the SECNAV would not disavow them but rather try to get them back with diplomatic apologies. That wasn't jurisdiction they were all US Federal Agents after all, but rather command. While Dwayne Pride was the Special Agent in Charge in the Gulf of Mexico Jane Tennant is SAC for the Pacific. What doesn't make sense was with all of the Deputy and Assistant Directors introduced in Los Angeles to work with their special projects and now in Singapore for NCIS: Sydney that Director Vance could even if he wanted to could point to Agent McGee and name him Acting Director of NCIS
  10. Who joined the company and got his own Polo shirt
  11. I'm waiting to see if the sympathetic FBI agents who have every nook of Fiona's home wired, but presumably not Chris's phone, will do anything about a taken 15 year old girl
  12. I was expecting Jeremy to have a panic button if Thony had not scienced her way out of the gas trap. Color me surprised that Ramona hired, and killed another hitter. I had no ideal that federal jails allowed so many visitors. The heart surgeon becomes Dr. House and I suppose the dying aunt will trust nobody else. And back to the show runner's real story Chris's crush is once again captured by human traffickers while on the way to her first date.
  13. I don't think money was the issue just single line thinking that Sydney had higher numbers. They just forgot nothing else new was on due to the strikes.
  14. There was an episode of The Punisher, then on Netflix, where a barefoot character was a punchline to a joke. So I guess show runners/directors choosing to break safety is on a case by case basis. Sort of like saving a single F bomb to keep a film under a "R" rating
  15. I think that S.W.A.T and SEAL Team where further along in episode count for syndicators and CBS was trying to add more exclusive content the Paramount + to add to Star Trek's franchise and The Good Fight. COVID and the strikes saw them get replays on the broadcast network. As well as get multi hour blocks on syndicated stations. Since the first show has almost completely turned over its cast like SVU and they want room for a young Gibbs period piece while taking chances on new stuff that might pop I think Hawai'i is gone. Just last night I heard two promos it certainly sounded like one said the Tracker was the most watched "new show" like Fire Country was in its first year and the other said most watched "just" show, maybe for that past week. And marginal performers from an old franchise will make room for the potential break out show.
  16. Endgame level security can't be held when slipping release schedules, factories have to produce and ship. Or pay for secret storage.
  17. Everything about E.L.I.T.E played like kids playing games. Of course the entire purpose was to show tiny Lucy could take them even if she didn't have muscles bulging from her tee shirt. I couldn't believe they went into what is portrayed as the hottest zone in the world with just a mask on. Its not like suits are available everywhere TV and movies are made, But then I guess those would hide elite muscle. And of course being CIA a decade ago means you know people everywhere. With the cancellation I guess I went in prejudiced against the episode, but then I had been expecting this sort of mess since they killed off Charlie 1 and Vanessa announced her good friend Todd was moving from LA to Hawai'i
  18. I was thinking a terminator as he kept on moving with his wound, presumably without tea bags to help.
  19. True, but then again TV characters are now more multicultural than ever. I'm not suggesting an establishing shot to remove shoes like Jack Webb as a public service took a broadcast second and showed Officers Reed and Malloy buckle up in 1970, but just walking around the house in their slippers/flip flops. Right now indoor shoes only seems to come into play when cops are dealing with a diplomat who are trying to get them off of their soil.
  20. I have to ask, on set safety or wiki feet has to pay a license fee?
  21. Well Lieutenant Provenza may have been fine with Rusty's final action but at least Commander Raydor didn't know that is how her influence ended with her son
  22. Perhaps not in the barracks but for a daily combat ration package it is one less piece of gear kit a soldier would have to hump I guess Tommy would say yomp to brew his tea.
  23. I mostly left the Los Angeles spinoff after the first season just watching occasional episodes but the three spinoffs and JAG often had characters go on temporary duty assignments to explain an absence from the duty station.
  24. I guess they feel secure with the Black British actors in Sydney replacing them.
  25. If you get close to beating Ben Stone then you're no joke.
