  1. Yep, I live in the actual city and a lot of schools are K-8. My sisters kids went to a K-8 public school in Kansas City, MO. Regarding Tamika's "Bitch" tattoo, yeah, I thought it was tacky. But it looks like her daughter is doing well and taking care of. I'm still trying to figure out what was on her lip ring. And when the science teacher said that science isn't fun, I said to myself, "Yes, it is!" Math on the other hand.
  2. Well, the temp agency I signed up with got me a short-term assignment with a local non-profit. It's going pretty well. The hours are only part-time (7:00am-12:30pm). Now, I like working part-time, but in the long-run I need full-time hours to make a decent paycheck.
  3. Though I fell out of love with CM after Hotch left, I did give CME a try when CBS showed the first episode. Maybe it was the head cold I was getting over, but I just couldn't get into it. Garcia was way too much (though the baking looked like fun), Rossi snapping at everyone in the wake of Krystal's death, no Reid, etc. I don't have Paramount+ and I'm not going to sign up just to watch CME. I will, however, read your analysis of the show. I always love everyone's insight and opinions.
  4. Thanks for all of your kind words. I really appreciate it.
  5. When I saw Janine dressed up as James Harden I thought to myself, "Please let her do the GIF." And she did!!! The student dressed up as Mr. Johnson had me reeling. He was so on point! Ava looked great as Storm and she actually proved she could be competent and kind. Janine looked smoking in the Marilyn outfit. I hope she had fun with Erika at the part.
  6. I'm currently reading Caitlin Moran's novel "How to Be Famous." I read the prequel "How to Be a Girl" several years ago, and I really liked it. "How to Be Famous" is pretty good so far. And I just finished Iman Hariri-Kia's debut novel "A Hundred Other Girls," which is a kind of a "Devil Wears Prada" for the Gen Z set. It was very entertaining.
  7. Regarding the magic marker thing, what's wrong with teaching your children to put the caps back on? Now excuse me while I kick some kids off my lawn.
  8. ION is showing Criminal Minds again, and I watched 100 yesterday. And even though I've seen this episode countless times, I'm still gutted. I did the whole ugly cry.
  9. Congratulations on the new nephew idiotwaltz. Nathaniel is a lovely and classic name. I like it. I have some bad news. I lost my job a few weeks ago. The company I was working for lost 11 clients and two sources of funding so they had to lay off some people, one of them being me. My boss actually cried when she was told she had to get rid of me. Money isn't a huge concern right now. I do have quite a bit saved up. And I contacted a temp agency I've worked with before, and they're looking for some temp work for me in the interim. However, having time off gave me a chance to clean and organize my apartment a bit, go to the gym more often, walk around my neighborhood, and read lots of good books!
  10. Cloud9Shopper I totally get it. I just lost my job, and I'm in fear I will never be employed again. I was out of work for quite a while a few years ago, and it still traumatizes me. I do hope your job isn't on the line. I'm sending you good thoughts. Okay, I interviewed with a temp agency I worked with a while back last week, and it went quite well. I figure I can temp until I get something permanent. My recruiter did offer me two potential jobs. However, one was 3:00pm to 11:00pm and I don't want to be coming home so late. Plus, I'm not the night owl I used to be. The other job was temp to perm and although the company was impressed by my resume, they felt I was over-qualified, so I didn't get it. And I am checking out job boards for potential leads. I just wish the job application and interviewing process was such soul-crushing process. I have spent some of my time cleaning and organizing my apartment, reading lots of books, going to the gym, and walking outside while the weather is still nice.
  11. You can't go wrong with a classic tuxedo tailored for a feminine figure. But sadly, most high fashion is ghastly these days.
  12. I agree. Janine may be going off the rails, but I trust Quinta and the rest of the writing staff to give Janine some growth.
  13. Actually, it made me want to cry. The hoops applicants have to jump through these days is outrageous.
  14. When Janine introduced the new juice, I thought it was going to make the kids sick, coming out from both ends. Thank goodness it wasn't that. Yes, Janine is being pathetic. I'm wondering if it has to do with breaking up with Tariq. Sometimes break ups make you act really stupid. Of course, Melissa has a baseball bat taped underneath her desk. I want to slap Ashley into next week. She reminds me of every awful co-worker I've had that management totally coddled. Why am I not surprised Ava has a fancy bathroom complete with a bidet?
  15. The look on Gregory's face made me howl with laughter. He has the best facial reactions to things. I'm finally catching up with this show. Egad, I had so much second-hand embarrassment watching Story Samurai do their performance. It wasn't corny; it was cringeworthy.
  16. I met the late Judy Tenuta backstage after one of her shows years ago. She was so down to earth and chill. She even signed my program calling me a petite flower.
  17. Good idea. I was told they'd rehire me. But I don't know if I want to go back.
  18. Thanks for your support and kind words. It's starting to sink in. I'm taking this week easy. I have work I need to do around my apartment and I have friends coming into town this weekend. I will apply for unemployment and connect with some recruiters I know. I've worked a bit on my resume, too. I do gave a lot of money saved up, which helps. And I'm pretty thrifty. I stopped by my old office this past Monday to drop off some signed severance papers and pick up some of my belongings. My ex-boss told me she cried when the higher ups told her I had to go. Things have been really upended because I did so many things for my job. Their loss, right?
  19. Well, I have some bad news. I was let go from my job last week. It had nothing to do with my work. But my old company lost 11 clients and two sources of funding. The writing was on the wall.
  20. I loved this episode, too. The Shark Tank bit had me reeling. And Barbara getting black and white actors mixed up? Ha!!! And the interaction between Melissa and her sister was comedy gold. And on a shallow note, the pink dress Ava was wearing was so pretty!
  21. Making Reid an unsub would be slap in the face of the character, Matthew, and the fans.
  22. I wasn't too crazy about the live audience either. The Sharks seemed to be playing to them and the contestants seemed to be secondary to all the hoopla. As for their wares they were promoting? Kent underwear was way too expensive. I can get a 6-pack of undies at Kohl's or Target for much cheaper. Plus, not everybody has access to composting and who wants to send their used drawers back to the company? I don't envy the people who have to deal with that! Oogie Bear-I don't have kids so I have no idea if this would be a good product to have. Parents can answer this question better than I can. Pizza Pack-I'm from Milwaukee. We also get our pizza cut tavern style so it's a no from me. Plus, I can easily save my pizza in some Tupperware wrapped in plastic or aluminum foil. And Barbara's dress. The less said the better. Now that's a "Glamour Don't."
