I'm being silly.

Where was Kamala? You just know she had something to do with it.

I am absolutely horrified. The arts and libraries are sacred to me. And in more horrifying news: Indiana Republicans Propose Cuts to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

So what Trump does only matters when you get fucked over. Hmm, interesting.

Sadly, not a headline from the Onion.

I have family in Kansas City, so usually I'd be cheering on the Chiefs. But I'm tickled pink that the Eagles won. And I love knowing the MAGA crowd is spitting nails over Kendrick Lamar's half-time performance. Suck it, MAGA!

I just finished "The Genius of Judy: How Judy Blume Rewrote Childhood for All of Us" by Rachel Bergstein. I loved this book. Bergstein really showed how Ms. Blume, once a suburban housewife went on to be one of the most iconic (and yes, controversial) writers of young adult literature and how she affected readers, writers, and books for tweens, teens, and adults. I can't recommend it enough. And right now I'm reading "Mastering the Universe: The Obscene Wealth of the Ruling Class, What They Do with Their Money, and Why You Should Hate Them More" by economist Rob Larson. This book is quite enlightening and it's also really pissing me off.

F-U, Reboot-Mania: Express Your Hate Here

The latter seasons of Little House on the Prairie got kind of soap opera-ish, but I still loved the show. And apparently, conservative pundit Megyn Kelly was spitting nails because she thinks this version is going to be "woke." Well, to my memory, the original recipe of Little House on the Prairie covered some pretty heavy topics. It wasn't all sunshine and daisies. Megyn is whiny twit. -
One of our local UHF channels would play three previously theatrically-released movies in a row on Sunday afternoons back in the 1990s. On cold, dreary Sundays, I would pop a lot of popcorn, and settle in to watch some good movies. I kind of miss those days.

I saw it at the CIBC in Chicago with my mom and my sister this past Sunday. We absolutely loved it. The show gave us all the feels. My sister saw it in Kansas City with her family over the summer, and even though her kids weren't born yet when 9/11 happened, they loved it too.

I knew I liked mashed potatoes for a reason.

"Thanks" to Trump and MAGA, cruelty is celebrated and empathy is demonized. One Trumper one Twitter referred to "the sin of empathy." Empathy is a sin? I never learned that in CCD.

Empathy is a sin? I certainly never learned that in CCD.

I'm so pissed. One of our local meteorologists was let go from our CBS for expressing her disgust over Elon Musk doing the Nazi salute on her social media. On a personal note, Twitter called me out for "hate speech" for telling a Trumper she voted for a felon. Meanwhile, an account I reported for its pro Hitler and pro Nazi vernacular and symbols is just fine and dandy.

He was an icon here in Milwaukee. -
She looked so beautiful and ethereal.

And his ear was barely nicked during the first attempt. I was more battered, bruised, and bloody after I was mugged and brutally beaten walking home from the grocery store.

Like many of you, I will not watch the inauguration this upcoming Monday. I wanted to do some volunteer work that day, but unfortunately, I didn't find any convenient opportunities. So instead, I hope to get together with a friend for lunch and a bit of shopping.

Michelle Obama will not attend Trump's inauguration.

I wish I could love your post and your rebuttals a thousand times. You pretty much summed up everything I've been thinking about since Trump was reelected back in November. This past Monday, I sat around in a deep malaise. I thought it was due to the post-holiday slump. I thought it was due to the cold, dreary weather. But no. I remembered it was Jan. 6 and Trump's election was going to be certified, and it was four years since the MAGA crowd caused a insurrection at the Capitol (those traitors). I'm trying so hard to be positive, but it's so difficult. We went through one Trump regime, and it was disaster in so many ways. This time a majority of his inner circle, cabinet, and staff are unqualified, sycophants who do not have the best interests of most Americans in mind. I'm numb and scared.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
Bookish Jen replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
I know! I took a look at that commercial, and thought to myself, "I think I need to leave the room." -
Campaign merch like hats, t-shirts, etc.? Sure. But I've never seen any President hawk tacky shit like bibles, sneakers, fake money, cologne, etc. But Trump could sell a jar of his farts, and the MAGA crowd would buy them...and then complain about not being able to buy gas and eggs. And I can't link from my phone, but apparently Brett Ratner is making a documentary about Melania Trump for Amazon Prime. Excuse, but what has Melania Trump done to warrant a documentary?
