Variety had another article on the Flash that talks about Warner Bros current problem of the DC movie universe and the doom and gloom aspect of the universe. Pretty complimentary to the Flash.

Literally this!! I truly don't understand this continued argument that they are like brother and sister when Barry stated explicitly that he had feelings for Iris prior to moving in with Iris? He doesn't view her that way he had a crush on her, 10 year olds don't have crushes on their siblings and you don't just stop feeling a certain way about a person because you move in with them.

I actually liked the reluctance because I need Barry and his team to worry about the after-effects of some of their actions. Wells was suggesting recreating something that devastated the city and created a multitude of metas. So it was worthy of debate about whether it was good to recreate this thing even if Zoom is there. In the end since it was built to be contained within the lab I don't disagree with the choice and considering the Zoom problem he ended up not having a choice.

Lightning Rods: Gender, Race, Homosexuality and Other Sensitive Topics
sking24450 replied to Actionmage's topic in The Flash
Yeah that made no sense to have Cisco out there other than him having a penis. It was offensive actually from their refusal to allow Jesse to come along and then to keep the two girls in the van when Iris in particular has shot people in this series which is more than I can say for Cisco or Barry tbh. -
I don'the understand the villan of the week's problem. It seemed like he was causing his own problem. If every time he used his super strength he would age the logical conclusion is to stop using the power. It seemed like a power he needed to access rather than one that he had no control over. Like the last fight was just weird. He essentially killed himself even after Barry offered help.

This show does April absolutely no favors. How am I supposed to be on her side. Jackson is the angry one here and rightfully so and yet he's talking about restraining because it's the best thing for the baby. Don't even care that April heard Catherine since there has not been one instance on this show where Jackson has actually listened to anyone from his family pre or during his relationship with April. And why not just do the rational thing and fight whatever she thought Jackson was going to do. Idiot. Catherine is a meddler and she is quick to try and cut Webber out of any decisions especially ones involving Jackson. I love Debbie Allen though and that OR scene where she says "he didn't know who the hell he married" was everything. April/Arizona happy they are friends again but the parallel with the patient was too forced, and April looked like a hypocrite. Owen is legit crazy. I don't know if it is the character or the acting choices but everytime he gets upset it's always at level 10 and it's just so uncomfortable to watch. Not every scene where he is angry requires yelling. Can't stand him. Penny is still boring and I can't stand her. Stephanie was true to her competitive trash talking roots. I really don't like any of them that much and they could all win the award and go. Maggie would be too much for me to live with. She has no concept of just letting things be and insists on being involved at every step.

I agree. And more to the point, Jackson has vocalized his pain to April before. In the episode she came back to work and wanted to jump his bones at every opportunity while trying to convince him she was fine, Jackson told her at the end of the episode that he was struggling every day to keep it together. And this episode showed me that it didn't matter what Jackson vocalized about his pain because unless he expressed it the same way as April she can't acknowledge it. April told him that he wasn't dying about the death of their child like she was because he appeared to be coping.

April: No I was...I was...there...was a joke I was making a totally stupid joke. Jackson: Yeah it wasn't good.

That's the thing I do think Jackson understands why she had to leave. After all he was the one to suggest she go back to Jordan at the end of last year. Despite what April says I don't think he's trying to punish her, I think he just realizes that he needs a partner who he can actually trust to be there when things get bad. It just seems like her side is do what she needs to survive her trauma and expect the other person to just deal.

Is giving Jackson the divorce the first thing April did for Jackson in that marriage? April suffered in this episode from not getting scenes to truly explain herself outside of her interaction with Jackson because she came off looking awful. She really seems angry that he couldn't get over being left multiple times by his wife immediately after he lost his child. Jesse Williams is truly a gorgeous man.

The Shannara Chronicles - General Discussion

So I actually do think that Eritrea and Will have decent chemistry and they seem to be less twu luv than Will and Amberly would be so I would be happy if they just stuck with Will Eritrea and keep it moving. However, shows are addicted to triangles for some reason so I'm preemptively annoyed by the back and forth with this triangle. The scenery is gorgeous. The acting is pretty decent. I'm interested if the changeling will stay around the palace now that Amberle has gone to start the quest. -
S12.E08: Things We Lost In The Fire

I don't really see this at all. Last week he was working on the patient when Maggie came in, it wasn't Maggie's patient, it looked like a woman who just came into the ER that Riggs was working on. Then Maggie came and had no clue who he was so she just shoved him out of the way. She seemed more angry about the patient deferring to Nathan rather than something that Riggs had done. He specifically said that his name was on her chart, he had a plan for the procedure and disagreed with Maggie but he did not plow and take over a case from Maggie. In this ep, he was on a consult and Meredith made it personal by continually asking for Pierce when he was standing right there. I did find his interaction with Meredith to be way more antagonistic but I put that on both of them, tbh. -

Are we supposed to hate Owen? He constantly does this, just overly aggressive and angry and it's old at this point. I wish his character would just go away. I have no clue if Riggs is in the right or wrong but due to Owen acting a fool, I'm siding with Riggs against Mer and Owen at this point. I hope he doesn't get stuck with sleeping with Amelia and being dragged further into the suck that is Owen/Amelia. April can truly be insufferable but I am happy that Jackson pointed that out to her, that she is constantly pulling this shit and has since the beginning of their relationship. As an aside, Jesse Williams is truly a gorgeous man, when they were fighting and he had his head tilted...too hot. I don't Jo/Alex because I find Jo to be a sour personality that just seems to bring things down, but she was spot on about Alex and him putting Mer in front of her. Also, she was right about the timing of the proposal. I hope that they do break up because Jo needs to find herself and Alex needs to learn boundaries with Mer, and maybe to find a new girlfriend that I actually like. Penny is still terrible. Ben was adorable trying to keep things professional, not at Seattle Grace. Bailey annoys me. I wish they had hired the other doctor in the beginning and I can't wait for Catherine to come back and the constant back and forth that will occur then. -
I thought Candice only was allowed to choose the first person. Maybe if she had to pick a second person she would have chosen Ashley. She wanted to work with Amanda, the only reason this seems to be an issue is that Ashley insists on being offended that she wasn't chosen. Who would she have chosen to be picked last in her stead?
-
I'm genuinely shocked. I for sure thought Kelly had the win in the bag. Her clothes were better than Ashley's in my opinion. Whatever, Swapnil for the win.
-
Essentially Kelly is number 1, Ashley 2, Edmond 3, Candice 4
-
Kelly is going to win this.

Why didn't Jackson AVERY go to a hotel again? That is the one confusing thing about this episode. He's rich and he has barely interacted (ever?) with Warren before this episode.
-
Great Alex episode. This episode did cement the fact that I don't like Jo. Happy Jackson just left, I think he felt pushing her out would make him feel bad but that he doesn't want to live with April so he removed himself. Happy that Bailey didn't just offer Meredith the world, that doesn't happen often in the real world. You are low-balled all the time and you have to ask what you think you're worth, most companies would have you work for free if it were possible.

I disagree with this and may be the heart of Jackson's argument. When she came home the first time after being away for a year he was understanding and then she wanted to leave again and he told her he understood but that he most likely would no longer be there for her. That is when April should have realized that her marriage was falling apart, her coming home now and insisting that Jackson be willing to try when she has bailed on her marriage twice just seems the height of arrogance. He's no longer there mentally, maybe he would have been willing to go to counseling to get over the grief of their child together but he has grieved alone based on their conversation back at the end of S11. He was pissed at this moment because April is ready to talk now and screw anything else happening including an important surgery because she wants to talk now. Trying to talk at work is just stupid and ridiculous, imo, and again goes to his complaint that all April cares about is her needs and has no interest in what Jackson needs or is doing. And I don't agree with the idea that Jackson never wanted their child. He didn't want his son to be in continued pain, he was very happy when he was hanging with April's mom and building rocking chairs, but when it came down to his child having a severe disability his choice was to not keep him needlessly alive but even in that he didn't force April, he just gave his opinions and in the aftermath was completely understanding, imo.

Oh April...the worse part was when your child died and you ended up bailing on your marriage. I realized that they may have been apart longer than they were married. I liked this episode. I don't like Owen/Amelia though so I really wish they would stop forcing that mess.

I wonder if Brandi can be considered a participant in the series any longer and if not then that clause does not apply to her since presumably Kyle would be suing her for her comments after she was no longer a participant in the series. If Brandi was so damn confident she would just tell Kyle to bring it since the best defense against defamation is if you're telling the truth.
-
Ophelia is honestly the worst. Her character brings absolutely nothing. Liam could be interesting with a more dynamic and interesting character. I really hope they are reading commentary on the character and rectify that mess next season. I don't even need a Gemma but someone who isn't so damn bland and annoying.

S05.E22: Reunion Part 3
sking24450 replied to Tara Ariano's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
This is always what I assumed and it would have been another point of contention if Kyle had done the show and not "allowed" Kim to be on the show. And then if the show became popular. Like that damn house. Truly no win.
