I'm an asthmatic who is allergic to cats and most dog breeds. We currently have a kitten because my nephew recused a newborn abandoned by it's mother in our backyard. Eventually this kitten will move on but for now the need to keep the kitten outweighs the allergy issue.

Neither one of them looks truly happy. Both of them have HUGE bags under their eyes as if they aren't getting any rest at all. I bet that Josiah forces himself to be intimate with her and as oblivious as we all think she is, she's not that dumb. She probably cries herself to sleep every night. I think that her "look at me" antics are because she's desperately unhappy at home.

I think that a stillborn baby is a lot different than a 2nd trimester miscarriage. I do think that they are going to stop and reflect for at least a little bit. Gideon may actually reach 2 before they announce another pregnancy.

The two brothers to Joy's right (Jer and James?) and the brother on her left (Justin?) are the best looking Duggar males. The two further left are already suffering from post-teenage Duggar aging. Jed looks like a taller Josh and the other one (Jason?) is already balding and looking grungy. I think it's a known fact that they live in a trailer right? I took it to mean home=house. I'm pretty sure they would call any abode a house, even a condo or apartment.

She didn't say it as if it was one place. She said she enjoyed visiting Europe and she couldn't pinpoint one place.

No surprise here, my opinion differs from previous posters. I thought it was cute and I smiled through most of it. I think they have a really good marriage, whether or not it would work for me, it clearly works for them.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
Tasya replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
I'm almost 100% sure that Jana is still in that room to protect those girls from any potential shenanigans. Besides Jana, there are a bunch of boys in the frisky stage and then throw in J'Tyler. After the Josh thing, she likely feels like she can't leave those girls. There's Jana then six boys/men (Jed, Jer, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson) older than all of the girls and then J'Tyler who is a couple of years younger than Hannie. In her mind all of those males may be potential abusers. -
Also to echo leigh, they don't bother me nearly as much as they do a lot of other people. They are conservative Christians with the belief system that many CC's hold to. I have family members with the same value system. I still love them, even though I detest a lot of what they believe in. They also still love the other family members. Even the brown ones, the gay ones and the "gasp" women. They don't support homosexuality but they don't treat our homosexual family members any differently. They think the husband is the head of the family, but don't attack the female family members that are single or working. They have a very different outlook on immigration than I do, but I've never seen them disparage an immigrant. They believe what they believe, and they are entitled to that. What I find super interesting is that everyone wanted Jinger to "escape" Duggarland. She's obviously done that, but it's still not good enough because she didn't do it the way that others wanted her to. When any of these people say or do something reprehensible, I am always going to speak on it. When they are just going around and living their lives, eh, i'm not going to snark on them. They remind me of any other millennial couple. They post about stuff that's seemingly superficial and silly to most older adults. That's fine, I'm sure my 60+ year old mother probably side eyes some of my posts. I appreciate that they are at the very least stepping somewhat outside of their boxes. I enjoy seeing their cutie pie daughter and I generally wish them well.

Those sneakers are Nike Air Max's and I believe the version he has on would have been about $200+ back when he proposed to Jinger.
-
Well he's using a computer. I'm assuming he sent himself the image and posted it through the web interface. Unless he's also said he doesn't use social media on his computer.
-
It doesn't look like the book is his, because it's on top of another computer. Those tables are normally two person tables so he should have a seatmate to the side. I don't understand the social media question, it's posted from his account.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
Tasya replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
I hate to defend anything about Smugs family, but perhaps it's in quotes because it's not really tax free. Only certain items qualify and only if you spend less than a certain amount. So it's nice to have but you have to be careful how you use it for sure. -
He acknowledged someone who gave his child a balloon by name and title. I don't consider that to be brown-nosing. Brown-nosing would be "Felicity was given a balloon by the great and talented and always inspirational _______. He always gives the best sermons and inspires me to be better". or something along those lines. Really I think Jeremy could say "Hey here's a guy holding my kid" and get lambasted for it.

Yep there it is. -

James is cute and doesn't appear to really have the balding son hairline. In the Alert picture, they've buzzed his hair down so low to get rid of the little flip at the front (too much personality in that bit of hair!). If you look closely that part of his hair is really light, so it looks like there's no hair there. However in the graduation picture, he clearly has hair on the sides of the front of his hair, unlike his unfortunate brothers. -
I don't think so. Recall that when Jinger and/or Jana used to express any "free thought", Jill was the downer and the one that tsk'd, tsk'd at them.

The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
Tasya replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
Well I guess I must be seeing the wrong people when I'm in LA for a shoot with my son. I've seen plenty of similar skirts and hats. But maybe the people I see don't meet your "hip" qualification. I also did not say she looked hip. I said she looked like a normal 29 year old from CA. -

She looks really pretty in her LA setting. There's a picture on the Vuolo thread that's full body with a hat. She looks good, like any normal CA 29 year old. -
That's a great picture of Jana, she looks lovely. She should move to LA with Jinger and Jeremy.
-
She looks nothing like Jana to me. Jana is much prettier. Abbie's features are "too big" for her face or something, I don't know what it is but she's quirky looking. They look happy together though.

At their baby's age he should really still be forward carried. You shouldn't carry on the back until the child can actually see over your shoulder. But it's the Duggars so...
-
Those baby carriers are all Ergo's which are not cheap. Definitely no bargain shopping there.
-
It's a little interesting that Josh and Anna allow their sons to wear shorts and don't make their daughter's layer. The girls are still in long dresses, but at least they don't have to wear a damn short under it in the middle of the summer. All of those jeans just look so stupid and uncomfortable.
-
She does look exactly like her grandmother. I think this Duggar grand will be the envy of all of her female cousins. She's going to be raised very mainstream conservative christian (yes they do exist). I think we have to think of her as a future Marjorie.
