  1. Even though I despise political rants while watching my 'candy for the brain' shows, I can well imagine even Trump did not want this charter's guests declaring their loyalty to him.
  2. Surely Kevin's nonsense is scripted? I cannot imagine any breakfast service (or brunch?) that would require both interior and exterior stews. His treatment of the interior and exterior staff both offends and maddens me (while I am just a viewer) because I cannot fathom Kate's passive response with Kevin. For Kate NOT to go for Kevin's jugular, makes me doubt the sincerity of his words. I am hoping Kevin's past lip service results in more appropriate responses (for both of them).
  3. I would have clicked the heart icon, except for the inclusion of Ashton. I think Ashton is a great boatswain and doesn't need to be replaced at all.
  4. A guest and his wife were hitting on Jen nonstop. Katee gave her a rape whistler (as a joke. but then she ensured Jen wasn't let alone with them.
  5. Aww, if we can't snark (and use inappropriate gender comparisons/identifiers) here, then where can we? I truly understand what you are saying, and I agree with you. HOWEVER, I love this forum because I do not have to be politically correct, and no one usually calls me on it. After all, we all are simply enjoying the freedom to snark without having to explain whether our snark is appropriate or not.
  6. He's so 'extra' with his preying upon potential bed partners that I cannot picture him ever married (or faithful if he does get married.) Too much of a pattern with that lad and his drinking.
  7. Especially when he insists on serving the charter guests cow tongue for an entree. i am pretty sure my mother attempted to feed us kids this when she and dad were between cheques. However, Kevin is determined they will love this. Heh...
  8. I think you are referring to Joao when everyone realized his fever wasn't breaking and he was very ill. But yes, Ashton, Kyle, Nico etc. have all experienced incidents where a doctor was needed. (And let's not forget Caroline's visits to an MD every time the boat needed to be turned over for new guests, lol!)
  9. Wow! You have eloquently summed up the true psychological baggage participants in the 90 Day Fiance franchise carry. Realreality, we need your toll-free number so you can counsel all these participants after they get dumped in the US. And women like Darcy and her sister fall into this same category. I would give you 100 'hearts' if I was able for your bang-on assessment.
  10. I just finished binge-watching all seasons, and I truly enjoyed and appreciated this series. As a teacher, I "get it", and although Sam is a good rep for Aspergers, I hope parents don't expect their child to communicate or excel as well as Sam does. It is as though someone researched every possible 'symptom' (for lack of a better word) of Aspergers and incorporated an aspect of each symptom into Sam's character. Yes, it makes him relatable BUT, unrealistically so. Perhaps this is merely my jealousy as a parent peeking through as both my husband and I are university educated, yet NOT ONE of our four children opted for a university degree route (or even trade certification). This is despite offers of free room & board during schooling, further financing if in another state, offers of tutors if they were to struggle, etc. Two of them scored exceptionally high, with the other two still receiving university-acceptable SAT scores. I give up - this is either rebellion against two educated parents OR they're young adults bristling against the demands that all Gen X and millennials NEED a degree/certification to be employed in any capacity. Big, self-pitying sight, ha. (I know, if only the world had such self-centred problems...)
  11. This makes sense because I felt that Elizabeth was the one they all looked to when they want or expect 'dependable' actions, etc. But after reading your post, I realize she's just as confused and lacking in self confidence as every other teenager/ young adult. Too bad the show didn't share this 'real side' you refer to. Would have boosted viewing if people could relate.
  12. Regardless of who they both ended up with, I am glad they split. I had to quit watching the show because I felt just as frustrated (watching the show) as they did in their marriage. They communicate differently and yet they each felt they were right. Some weeks I couldn't stand Matt, other weeks I was shaking my head at Amy's behaviour. My biggest fear was that the kids would take sides, but now I do not care. So long as Matt and Amy are happy, all the power to them.
  13. I corrected original comment. Brian mentioned feeling loopy on deck because of painkillers. This is an accident waiting to happen...
  14. I, too, have visited Hong Kong in August and I have to agree with you - not the time to visit. The humidity alone had me drenched 24/7, so I was grateful for the sudden downpours that occured. Made my messy perspiration less apparent.
  15. Thanks a lot, Carolina Girl - I just woke up my hubby with my laughter. I shall use your nickname for Chef K from now on.
  16. My initial response was to ask, "WHICH psycho Brit"? which speaks volumes on its own. Perhaps any Brits applying for a role need to bring their A game, or at least represent in a positive way?
  17. Hands down, this is my favourite observation, thus far. Thank you & Well Done!!
  18. You win... nothing! (Sorry, I forgot to attach a prize, but I thank you, lol) Daya was definitely the one who wanted her ring appraised, and I could not remember her name. Now, after watching a couple of seasons, she was within her rights to have the ring appraised. Too many poor-as-mice Americans pretending to have money in order to lure a hot mail-order bride who would NEVER give them the time of day in any other situation. (Ahem... Caesar?)
  19. I have to say that if Kate were my Chief Stew, I would allow her to do what she feels is comfortable only because she seems to always 'deliver' as a hard working crew leader.
  20. Is Rich wealthy (despite what his name implies?) I assumed he has been married 4 times because he married wealthy women who support him.
  21. That's where I heard that before? At first I thought it was in reference to SNL's Gilda Radner skit - Rosanne-Rosanna-danna
  22. I am so untrusting that I question the editing re: Brian's knee injury. How do we know this was left untreated over a couple of charters, or was this the result of an infection developing over three days? There seems to be an attempt to make Brian's injury an "Oh My" side drama.
  23. My favourite Captain Lee expression. I think Rhylee is exactly what Kevin needs because thus far, the interior and deck crews have let him slide far too long. No wonder Kate seemed semi-excited about bunking with Rhylee. Kate has her own personal pit-bull. It's times like these when Kevin needs to be bitch-slapped. Bring on Rhylee...
  24. I am more forgiving of Rhylee's temper and acting out behaviour for the reasons you have cited. She is such a hard worker and on par with most lead deck crew. Even her toe to toe argument with Kevin made me feel she was not entirely at fault. How convenient that Rhylee take on Kevin's arrogant asshole comments on her first evening out? I am positive that bunking with Kate gave her a backstory - enough for Rhylee to determine she was not putting up with an idiot chef. Wasn't this the second doctor visit? I keep thinking it was already looked at...?
  25. Yes, he appeared to stumble in an earlier episode and he landed on the deck, scraping his knee. I think he had a wood-splinter in his knee, so perhaps that is what got infected? All a body needs is one 'open' wound to become infected. It certainly looks painful, but I am unsure how 'safe' a stoned deckhand would be (courtesy Dr's painkillers and his statements of feeling loopy).
