  1. Sadly the female equivalent has always remained Miss (which never died out as Master has). Miss and Master were always used to designate the age of the correspondee (?) (and perhaps eligibility as we become Mrs. and Mr. soon after marriage.)
  2. I have always had a horrible knack for fan-gushing over men that die within 5 to 10 years after I determine they could be my 'hall pass' while married. Marc Bolan was my first love - died, then Michael Hutchence - died, and in between Kurt Cobain... sigh. Bowie lived the longest on my list, and now he's gone. Sheesh
  3. I admit there have been occasions when I've stopped yelling "You desperate, embarrassment of a woman" at Darcy through my tv, and pondered how much is acting and how much is mental illness. What if this is really Darcy? What if her beyond bizarre, delusional belief that all in her environment are gobsmacked by her beauty and charisma? If that's the case, then I feel terrible for poking fun at someone who is not in control of her responses and needs professional help.
  4. This is what drives me crazy! These below average goofballs like Caesar, Paul, and Colt (and a reverse Angela example etc.) are in lust with an image, a sexual fantasy and expect a stunning woman to appear and become their obedient mate. They should behave submissively because, after all, they are offering them the chance to come to America. How desperate are these women to give ANY of these men the time of day, let alone sleep with them? Don't these people realize they are anything but appealing to the opposite sex. The delusional behaviour floors me.
  5. So, tell us what you really think of him? LOL
  6. Is it really labeled a divorce or are they allowed to have the marriage annulled?
  7. Was it ever determined or announced that Luke was gay? He had anti-marriage (to women) vibes all over him from the first time they saw each other. I felt so embarrassed for her. Whatever confidence she may have had seemed to take a beating.
  8. Out of curiosity, would anyone here consider marrying a virgin as a fun sexual challenge, or as a trial of patience and education? I could marry a 30 year old virgin hubby, but I would struggle with the challenge. Especially if being a virgin made him closed-minded re: experimenting.
  9. The moment he opted to have sex with her, he should have put in the effort for the two months. Like seriously, Matt was attracted enough to Amber to have several nights of intimacy. Yet he cannot show himself to be a decent, monogamous guy for a lousy 60 days? WTF is wrong with him? I truly believe Matt does not like himself and the public backlash only affirmed his self-loathing. To date they have been my fave couple.
  10. Iris has watched the movie "Grease" far too many times. Keith is no Danny, he doesn't want the responsibility of being your 'first' at his age.
  11. She was attaching far too much importance to her hymen than necessary at her age. It is not as though she's a virginal 18 year old. She knows what will be involved, and for her to pull so many 'Eww' faces whenever sex is discussed makes me feel she's gone past her due date. I believe she's spent so much time pushing men away, she no longer knows how to show a man that she is interested in being seduced. I certainly hope she understands the first time is not the 'moment'. Third trial seems to be the time when everything starts to feel more comfortable and fun/playful (w/o the added 1st time stress).
  12. I bet she is fearful of another miscarriage. If you share your pregnancy news, at least she'll have friends/ people who will be supportive and understanding if she's unable to keep it to term. Otherwise, she is alone in a dark place, by herself, because no one knew she was expecting.
  13. I agree with you. For some reason, it appeared a. handful of the men and women from the last couple of seasons felt their match should have been more attractive (despite the glaring fact of their own basic plain to average looks). To me, all the mates chosen were fine looking to nice looking - so no need for any of these people to demand better.
  14. I hope the recruits are weeded in order to eliminate those who are only seeking exposure. I say this because I do like the basis for the program. It would be interesting to meet someone who, on paper, is totally compatible with me. The thought is - here's someone with your values, mores, etc. and we attempted to match your preferred appearance. It's up to you to make the marriage live up to its on paper potential.
  15. I think that since TLC finances and hires for the show, they should be accountable for their Americans' safety, regardless of who chose the actual "fiancé."
  16. Trial run, thanks for the extra work, I means steps for success. LOL
  17. The couple I feel have shone a spotlight on 'actually finding love on 90 Day Fiance' would be Alexi and Lauren. I love their chemistry.
  18. I have considered 'witch hunt' to be a term that expresses society's upper class's intent to focus on someone who 'appears' guilty of a predetermined crime, despite having no evidence or link to the actual crime. Witch hunt wasn't meant to define the execution outcome, but rather the process 'invented' by those in power to divert attention from their acts while gaining further control over general populace. It was the means in which to oust anyone seen as too powerful or outspoken (especially women).
  19. I feel that Teresa is bordering on becoming East Coast's Vicki G's with her delusions of grandeur, self importance. She considers RHNJ as 'her show' and I need Andy to keep bringing back Jackie so that Teresa 'gets it'. After the Jackie's first reunion, Teresa stated Jackie wouldn't be back because Teresa wanted her off. It was great to see Jackie return.
  20. How true! I believe the term for this is sociopath.
  21. I felt the same way, but then I was reminded of how he blames Teresa for going to jail, being deported and now accuses her of spending his money. What (if anything) has this fool learned? Move on Teresa and find someone who actually loves you. (And I am not even a Teresa fan, but there's a limit to what one woman can take.)
  22. I had to laugh at myself after reading this exchange. When I first saw the mention of Melissa 'not having a hard life', I thought it was in response to why does she look so hardened/ unattractive/ old now? I thought it was a response as in... there's no excuse to look this weary. So now everyone knows where my head is... on some other show?
  23. I have to question how much time Jennifer spends with the kids. They act out as if they are each seeking to one-up each other with outrageous behaviour for their mom. Much like kids who spend so much time with their nannies that they have mini meltdowns when they finally get to interact with their parents. I can't help but feel a disconnect. And Jennifer's smiling reactions reinforce bratty, entitled and spoiled behaviour. Teresa has made it clear that she believes the wives are responsible for their men's bad behaviour and it's up to the women to manage the men. So messed up!
  24. I feel Kary came onto the show gunning for Leanne. You could tell she was a former 'watcher'.
  25. Speaking of language, or specifically certain words... why is no one calling Kam out for her tears over being labeled elitist and a bully, yet goes on to insinuate she has the power to boot Stephanie out of Dallas society. If that isn't an elitist bully, I don't know what is. Kam's twisting of others' words to suit her dialogue is more offensive to me than Leanne's and Brandi's ignorance.
