  1. OMG....I f....in hate her so much. Here's what we do. Those of you on Jokers (try to get them involved too) and that are on Twitter start sending them outrage tweets regarding this latest incident. I will send repeat emails to PETA again and the local county ASPCA, as I have a direct link to the person in charge in LA county. Perhaps these assholes think that getting all these upset tweets is somehow good? I think that we need to make clear that we are now only monitoring for the animal abuse because PRODUCTION and De Mol (or whatever the hell this asshole's name is -is letting it happen!), the show actually sucks and we are not watching for any other reason. I had a 2.5 hour commute into Philly today and hearing about this is making me go "red zone". ARRGGHH.
  2. You are correct DeLurker. I often teach on-base college courses to military students at a specific base in NJ. And they are often some of my hardest working students. They try really hard and take it very seriously. Aaron is NONE of that and makes military (retired or active) look bad. Generally military people know how to work hard and when needed. I would imagine that someone with that background, would have jumped in and know how to stretch a dollar. He is an insult.
  3. Wow, now Taylor is added to my HATE list too. Geez. They Really missed the boat on casting here. Animal haters. What do these assholes think that having a baby is like? I am on my 16.5 year of taking care of my "baby". Seriously it NEVER ends, but you don't threaten to punch them because raising a human or animal is hard work. Seriously, what a MAJOR asshole .
  4. I don't see the live feeds and forgot what days they show this on TV (ha, lol), can anyone comment on the animals, or do the feeds never show them now to shut us up?
  5. Yeah, after reading all that I have about the show runner and his minions, I would not put it past him/them. They are utter douches as evidenced by the responses to the tweets.
  6. Interesting. I have to wonder if Red actually has dentures and production asked him NOT to wear them to make him look more like a country bumpkin. I really hope that is not the case.
  7. Thanks DeLurker. I would think that would have seen more of that or heard more about it. Especially in talks with Hex. Red is becoming an enigma to me.
  8. I did not see the live feed, however, does that mean that Red used a bow to kill the deer? Does he even know how?
  9. So happy to hear about that hincandenza. Even if our collective pressure helped to get it noticed sooner, it was worth it. You never know, maybe they threatened to dump ALL of them and start over with a new 15 if they didn't treat the animals right, you never know. I agree with you that as cantankerous as Red is, he does not seem cruel purposely, unlike Bri. There is nothing that he has said regarding that. It seems that Hex cares as well and Josh too.
  10. Has Aaron ever commented on liking women, having a current girlfriend? Just wondering about his feelings.
  11. Thanks for that update. I had no idea that goats make more milk than cows.
  12. I gotta say, that based on the always wonderful recaps, is Red turning a corner? Like seriously? He is starting to sound not as bad as some of the others. Is he one of those types of guys that in a new situation, has got to be a big loud mouth (due to anxiety) and then he gets to understand the situation and then settles in? I was happy that he was attempting to help with the animals. Almost everyone seems to be a total gossip and shit-stirrer. I actually liked Red's idea for the government. Bri, is really becoming a concern to me. I do not think that the animals would have been as bad off if anyone else had been in charge. It is almost purposeful with her. Sociopathic tendencies right there. Lack of concern for others. Willingly harrmful, no empathy. A bit scary. We will see if that broadcast any of THAT stuff.
  13. I too am an addict. I hang my head in shame. I live for the live feed recap, thanks Zahdii, and the response on this forum, but the actual show sucks.
  14. Yes, I have to say that I am leaning towards agreement with those that think that the deer kill was set-up for Red. Did he have a knife, a gun, and rope? Anything else with him that a person would need to do this? Did he have any blood on himself? I did not see the actual live feed, but I cannot believe the person that we know as Red could have done this on his own, which is why none of it was seen on the feeds at all. Personally, I am not against deer hunting. I am accustomed to stuffed deer heads on the walls and shotguns in the window of a pick-up. I grew up in northern Maine and have had venison and bear, moose, (they often slipped it in on us). My relatives were poor and grew up during the depression. They used everything and knew how to hunt. They were respectful of the land and it's animals. I would have to be have starved to kill an animal, but that is me, I just cannot do it. Knowing the state of Red's brain, production probably gave him a nice story to tell, to help him better acclimate to the group, because it seems like he ain't quitting, and he embellished to make mommy deer a "bully" thinking that this story would appeal to the laid back (and likely liberal-in his view) others. It just sounded stupid = Red. Again, seeing as I worked myself up into a tornado of epic proportions last week regarding the cows and chickens, this might be my denial coping skills at work here. If, in fact, he had help, it was a professional hunter and the Doe did not suffer. Time will tell.
  15. Thanks so much Zahdii. Very grateful that the vets told them the right way. I have hope that Hex will be able to turn this around. Did they cook the venison?
  16. I was wondering about the "white" eye. Does anyone know if that is actually something that can happen? In other words, damage to an eye can make it change color? Eye color is determined via genetics, NOT via an environmental event. Was it still operable? (I think they gave us perspective shots of him seeing out of both eyes). I would think, that really serious damage to an eye, would mean loss of the eye, but I could just be spit balling here.
  17. I think that you make a good point JustAllison. I guess this Kroll guy has not liked the tweets that he got from viewers either and is feeling a bit attacked. For that, I do not care. As the show runner that means you have a lot of responsibility. There are specific rules regarding the use of animals in TV production. Basically, do the right thing, or it's your ass. For myself, THAT is almost less forgivable than the participants playing roles. i think that you are also correct, regarding where are the "other" castmates? We have a lawyer, a carpenter, a behavioral therapist, who all are older and have more life experience, where are they in this? Overall, I am just happy to hear that the vets have been visiting and are telling them straight up what to do.
  18. Thanks for all the updates guys. I ma starting to feel better about it too. I don't know who Kroll is (head producer?), but no need to get huffy, just do the right God Damn thing for the animals! Sorry that the viewers actually have feelings about what you are broadcasting over there asswipe. I think that someone (Zahdii maybe) reported that one of the production offices is in the barn! (they have a door or something that is accessed through the barn), so for them to ignore the animals as well, seems unacceptable if that is where production meets with the cast. I do hope that the sudden awareness of the animals is due to the complaints. That means, at least, that we all made some impact. Now, once the animals are taken care of we can go back to snarking on the shitfest that this really is. When this Kroll person sees the comments that we will make about the actual show, he/she will wish that it was only about the animals. ;)
  19. Thanks for that info. I guess I will have to break down and get me on that Twitter thing. I really have avoided all that stuff, but if that is what it takes, then so be it. If that is the way to poke at production directly, then I am willing to make myself the biggest boil on the butt of a raging asshole to get them understanding that people ARE watching what is happening to the animals. I will be a Twit in the Tweets of life. In regard to Bella, it would be AWESOME to have the guy (Georgio? I think) with the wild hair from Ancient Aliens visit Bella and speak to her about her "garden circles". I would pay serious money for that. I love all of the Ancient Aliens people.
  20. I haven't heard anything in any way regarding the animals today-Saturday. I am also following the recaps of the live feeds to determine how they are doing and if we need to keep pushing to help them. If we want further discussion, we should move this to the thread specific for the animals.
  21. Ha, THAT is hilarious! Glad to hear that perhaps the animals will be better taken care of. I really hope that they show the vet visit and that more of the Myopian's are there to listen and start to realize what they are not doing and the harm it is causing. I think that you are correct that Bri should be worried that she will be voted out. You haven't written about Amanda at all, are they not showing her? Are we missing something regarding her? Is she still there? Did I miss something? Did Bella's aliens see her round tummy and abduct her? I remember thinking briefly, during my animal rage that I don't think that you mentioned her very much in your previous recap either. Thanks for the recaps Zahdii!
  22. I have been in and out of the room while the show has been on, however, I think I saw a total of about 5 seconds of the animals. Way to cover up what is really happening there Fox. The live-feed recaps and the TV show are completely different. They are glossing over so much of what is really going on.
  23. Moving specific discussion regarding the animal's treatment and discussion of actions taken by the viewers to get the animals the necessary help. Specific discussion of the animals as it relates to events observed in the live feed or the telecast, can go in those specific threads. Updates about actions to help the animals and discussion of same, can go in here.
  24. Yes, I agree with all who commented that production probably brought in the Vet and the other farmer guy in the hopes to head off any issues. The Utopians are too damn stupid though. I also suspect that they would really love to just leave them to their own devices, so they are straddling a precarious line. However, when we hear that the cows are "starving" and that is a quote, it just doesn't feel ok with me. I cannot abide that. If the vet or the other farmer didn't use those words, then I would have been less upset. But those are the words that they chose, and that is saying a lot. As another poster stated, that because this is FOX that they may think that any publicity is fine, so I hope that if we can get this out there in the media, that it can have the reverse impact, but there is no way to know unless and until that happens. As a psychology instructor, I have to remind myself of the seminal experiments that were conducted in my field and when my students asked incredulously about why no one stepped in to help in those instances, I had to put myself in that situation too and try to do something in this particular case. Hopefully, we will see some type of movement when we get to read the recaps or when others report on the live feed as well (I really cannot bring myself to watch the live feed). This is such a joke of a show that I cannot even stand it. It was such an interesting premise with all of the wrong people chosen.
