  1. I called my pharmacy to be sure that they had extra blood pressure meds for me in case THAT happens! lol Too perfect!
  2. Seriously, I had to take extra blood pressure meds, my head is pounding! According to Jokers>UtopiaTwitter. Bri is not allowed back and the voting will only be on the 2. I haven't been this happy about anything is a while.
  3. Oh my God. Seriously? I just had really awesome news in real life about 3 minutes ago and then THIS!!!! They better not let her back, because hopefully one of the other CKC will go in her slot (hopefully a male) and then one of those people gets voted out! YES!!!!! This is for Moo Baby, Betsy, Honey and the chickens! YES!!!
  4. Animal abuse does not pay Bri! I wanted 3 guys up, but a lot of people think Mike is funny, so there you go.
  5. Here is Molly Lambert's take on her visit to Utpoia. Interesting read: http://grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/my-trip-to-foxs-utopia-just-another-struggling-california-commune/
  6. I saw a voting survey on Utopia Madness and Kristen is in 3rd place. Really hope people think hard about it. If Kristen goes first, then we are stuck with the terrible trio for (potentially) another 2 weeks! I loved the Colony, it was probably 100% scripted, like Siberia, but I really loved the premise.
  7. I know that Rob wants to go and I would want to keep him there to "punish" him, but comments like that, make me want him out, even if he is doing it on purpose.
  8. Regarding the voting: I worry that if people put up Kristen with any 2 guys, those misogynistic assholes will vote her out. I think that ANY woman against 2 men will get voted out. As much as I want Bri out, I almost feel like we need 3 guys up there to ensure that ONE of them goes. If Kristen is up, I would lay money that the guys gang together and the other females who would rather have the men stay, will vote for the female and Kristen will go. I think Aaron is a lock, I think Mike as well, so I think I will put my vote for Rob. I don't like Kristen, but I really think that a male needs to go before any female at this point. (I know that we can't vote Cal, so I am not even entertaining him, because I think he would be a good choice as well).
  9. BWAAAAHHHH! It's cruel, but they deserve it.
  10. For me: Aaron, Bri (payback for the Mootopes), Rob/Mike (I can't decide) Biggest Contributor: Josh hands down Bella (2nd)
  11. WWWHHHAAATTT??? He tossed out the soup and just doesn't even ask before doing it? So passive aggressive. That's really too bad. Because if you eat split pea soup and it is made with milk and some ham, can be very filling and hearty. He is no chef. I'm no "chef" and even I know what they look like and have made them myself. What a total, massive, jerk. Controlling people's food is definitely a way to control their behavior. I can almost imagine what he would do to a GF or wife that is acting in ways that he doesn't approve of.
  12. Yup, ProfCrash, I knew I knew nada about art! lol. I like the stuff that is not good, and don't get the art that is acclaimed by the critics! I figured it was probably not very good, but compared in my feeble attempts, Bella is Picasso!
  13. Yes. I know time was of the essence, but WHY aren't they involving the police, FBI, CIA, Homeland Security? Some governmental agency? By doing so, I think-not a lawyer here- that the judge would be forced to allow extra time (maybe? Perhaps?) due to the seriousness of what was happening? How do they know that it wasn't their opponent (not the lawyers, but the company)? Alicia's husband is the bloody governor! Didn't they think that he can get someone to come in immediately? What good are her connections, if she doesn't use them for a real issue? I think politicians will be gravitating to trying to prosecute (or make this part of their platform) regarding these types of crimes. They have no IT security specialist in ALL of Chicago that they can call in? As much as I love Kalinda, a person cannot be expert in everything. If hacking was so damn easy, way more people would be trying to scam way more people.
  14. Not being an artist myself, I really liked what I saw of Bella's work. I wish I could do what she can. I think (to the untrained eye) that she has some talent. If she were to pump out more small pieces, then perhaps more people could buy at a lower price. However, why should she? Having less available drives the price up of the few that are available because there are so few to bid on. Who knows if there will be ANY more? I would bid, but they are already above what I feel that they should be, and that is just from a person who has no ability to judge art on any level, but I do like what she has done. If other people are seeing more talent, then that may be driving their bids as well. It pains me that Bella actually "earns" and because of her other personality / behavioral issues it negates all of the positives. I agree that she often brings it upon herself and she JUST CANNOT STOP herself. I definitely think some type of behavioral / mental health issues there at the worst. At the best, a really, really, annoying person to deal with. In terms of Utopia, if those factors could be better mediated, she would be someone to keep because she has the potential to make consistent money. But, (very big one-as many have noted), Bella has learned that she will get her way if she just keeps pushing it (like Rob & Red). The over the top behavior and tantrums get rewarded and it self-reinforces and probably makes her believe that she was "right all along" because other people have finally given up and given in. Classical conditioning all the way.
  15. Hey Candall! -had to take a mental break from that hit TV show, Utopia! If we were talking about someone with schizophrenia, and she/he is decompensating and having more hallucinations and psychotic behavior, then it is very possible that some certain things could be triggers for them. I had a few patients that would think that the TV was talking to only them, and they (uh) would answer it too! All kinds of things might be distracting for them and it is highly individualized and unique, I suppose. I have to say that my schiz patients were my favorites. Their delusions are often very interesting to hear about. The way they think is very unique.
  16. I think Alicia drinks all the time. It is like the minute she gets home she has to drink. In AA circles, that is problematic behavior. Maybe I see it through different eyes, having worked in this area but, there is practically no scene where she is at home and the wine isn't flowing. But again, maybe that is just me. Maybe that is what normal people do. I know I don't, but my view is quite rigid on alcohol consumption in general. Also a person can be brilliant, and interesting, and still be schizophrenic. They aren't mutually exclusive. For myself, it is not ADHD-it doesn't fit that. If memory serves, no hallucinations in ADHD (the actual specifiers that is).
  17. Having worked with psychiatric patients, I saw Elsbeth as schizophrenic- all day and night. However, I don't understand how if she has a mental illness that her character is now "ruined". It made total sense to me seeing this episode. She is quirky, and now they have given us a more extensive reason for her behaviors. I feel like it actually adds to her back story. She obviously has come up with some sort of method of coping with her hallucinations. I actually kind of love the character and how she is working in a very stressful position AND still has a mental illness. It is not a death knell, lost of people manage despite having a mental illness. The stats tell us that on average, people are more likely to have a mental illness at some point in their lives, than not to. Would we actually be saying that her character is "ruined" if she had straight out depression, alcoholism, or anxiety disorder? Doubt it. It highlights though, the pervasive view of the stigma of mental illness. A person is no longer "as good" if they have a mental illness. I think Alicia is a functioning alcoholic and no one says that her drinking is ruining her character in the show. Personally, I wish that thay would delve into her anger, drinking AND depression (since Will's death).
  18. You know that the show is really on the skids when the thread for the LIVE feeds slows to almost no activity. Dead Man Walking here.
  19. Still though, the HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS (HA) of avid watchers, STILL outnumber the 7-8 in the CKC. Crap, I am taller than Lil' Napoleon. (Buddy, your high pitched speaking voice and your "jokes" aren't even funny). I know, that this "new" math will go over Rob, Hex, & Bri's heads, but hey assholes, WE way outnumber YOU! What a bunch of total idiots! I blame Kroll for all of this. Seems he is EXACTLY like the ones that he has been protecting. Bri, Rob, Aaron, Mike, Kristen. Seems antisocial personality types stick together and protect their behaviors. I am only hanging on for 2 reasons: 1) To watch the animals-which they barely show, they are still inconsistent about their care. SOOO annoying. 2) Waiting for cancellation and to SEE their reactions, but they probably won't show it because that would mean Kroll, you FAILED.
  20. I really hate the actor playing Danny's father. His affect is so flat. There is no "there" there. All of his reactions are one note. Just nothing. Sometimes an actor needs to give more than the stoic, brooding silence to engage the audience that there is more there. He just gives nothing. In regards to Ellie, (yes I saw the original and not comparing because I don't remember a lot of the specifics about the original actors, other than liking the show a lot), but I find the actress playing her almost too neurotic. Too anxious. Too nervous. She does not act like a person who understands what a cop is supposed to do and is internally struggling with what she knows she should do and believe (about perps) and what she thinks she knows and believes about the people in her town that are her friends. I see no inner life and struggle. I know that she was on Breaking Bad (which I didn't really watch), but has she lost a lot of weight? She looks too thin and like she has a lot of botox (in the lips). For me, she comes across as too old for the role (because of the skinniness and perceived botox) and not really fleshing out the underlying struggle between her perceived reality and what her job requires that she do as a COP. She comes across like a nervous first year cadet with zero experience working a crime EVER. The actors are really taking me out of the story which is a shame because I am enjoying it again. I think the Nick Nolte character and the lady with the dog are spot-on great. Curious to see where this will all go.
  21. Yup I hear you Andyourlittledog2, I get that Bella has issues, sounds like serious issues. But to overtly plan to take advantage of her weaknesses (psychological or otherwise) is wrong. Acknowledge that she is a problem, pacify her for the next two weeks and with kindness, vote her out. Not plan to take advantage of her and make her believe that you want her art and that she has to produce a painting everyday so that you can use her. It seems cruel and hurtful, in spite of what a pain she is, I don't think it is ok. As much as I truly abhor Bri, I would just want her not in charge of the animals and then if she doesn't do anything to help, vote her out. Not try to make a fool of her or "get over on her". I worked in-patient psychiatric and I know first hand how challenging people like Bella are, and I am trained to deal with them! I can totally see how she would make people WANT to get revenge, but it is still not right. However, some of the people on this show have no moral compass, so saying something is not right, just isn't in their lexicon.
  22. Personally, I thought that the treatment of the animals was the worst that this show could get, but the treatment of Bella and the overt discussion of trying to rip her off is beyond the pale. Their treatment of Nikki is on the same level. They have made it clear that they have no qualms about trying to "rattle" someone enough to get them to quit. This is such a pathetic show. I seriously cannot believe it has not been canceled yet. The bullying and the ganging up is just crazy. I really do not understand where some of these guys are coming from and why they think this is acceptable.
  23. I suppose none of them can spare-a-square either. They are so selfish! They should do the airing of grievances! Maybe then, they could stop being such back stabbers! I am surprised that Aaron hasn't tried preparing the food while in the shower like Kramer. THAT'S a time & water saver! lol!
  24. This review has almost made all the upset over the animals all these weeks worth it. Almost. Hilarious! I was wondering why we hadn't heard more about the cake and it's awful after effects!
