  1. If I were to put myself in Alicia's shoes, (I have a 16.5 year old daughter), I would have been destroyed that it happened on my watch. That I was a bad mom and not involved enough. I would have been wrecked at the potential for a human life that is part of my own genetic history, that is now gone (& I am 100% not against a women's right to choose). I would have been distraught with sadness that it happened. I would not expect my kid to tell me, especially with all the secrets and lies those kids keep from their mom because they are trying to protect her. Alicia is delusional. Oh, and when you get into bed with a bad guy like Bishop, are they so stupid that they would EVER think that they could come out with clean hands? Alicia and LG, broke their moral code for MONEY a long, long time ago. Now the rooster has come home to roost. It is a morality play and they should have stuck to their guns a long time ago and NOT have taken his blood money. There will be a time to pay. Bishop will see to it. (I love the actor and the character of Bishop-but what did they expect?)
  2. I particularly like the layer of cardboard that separates the stacked layers. Oy vey. I am a baker, but have never done a stacked cake like that and I know from watching debacles on Top Chef with really skilled chefs that it is very hard and highly specialized. You need dowels and other specialty tools to do it right. You can stack the cakes and THEN do the fondant (if you are doing it that way). I could deal with the fact that it looks like a train wreck IF the cooking was hygienic. But it does not matter how good or bad it looks IF I even think the food is contaminated, I cannot eat it and I can make myself ill just THINKING that it is. Seriously Aaron is so gross. it is practically passive aggressive of him. It's like he wants to make people sick.
  3. I have been reading the feeds at Jokers and some of it is hilarious. It is very spontaneous and not a recap by any means. But some of the things that they are commenting on are so funny. You do get the gist of what is happening. I love how they talk about how to "rattle" the CKC and some of the things that they have done. I agree with everyone on here. This show has become almost impossible to watch it is so bad. I only read the feeds at Jokers now.
  4. This is an excellent point. Why not have a communal meal every night which involved several people to cook? They could plan it a week ahead, so people know what day is theirs and what they are preparing. And have a "chef" for lunch or breakfast? That way the communal meals could have a wide variety of different types of meals and exposure to different foods. Not everyone there is from the same ethnic background. It would expose people to new and different things! Breakfast (IMO) is the easiest meal to make. Eggs, toast, bacon, or something else. Some fruit. Oatmeal. I do not know why they don't buy a large rice cooker. It will steam your rice for you, it turns out great, and that way you can always have it on hand, like they do in Asian restaurants. Plus rice can be purchased in 25-50 pound bags from Costco. Not expensive in comparison to buying FROZEN PIZZAS. For people with gluten issues, certain types of rice are a-ok. However, the problem with my plan is that would mean Aaron has LESS to do and he would have to work in other ways as well. That probably wouldn't fly for "chef". I know, I know, rationality, is not in excess here in Utopia.
  5. Yes, you are correct In Pog Form, I can't possibly expect them to have a rational thought! lol. Perhaps if the show had been run by people who do more documentary style shows, those PBS "house" shows, or a show like Eco-Challenge, maybe the show would have been approached more seriously. As a real attempt to see what would happen. I had a momentary loss of rational thinking, I have a back injury and I blame it on the meds!
  6. I thought that Cal was going to be the beacon the light at the end of the tunnel, and it appears that he can't get out of the way of his own agendas either. Since Fox has been changing their rules at any moment, and they seem invested in trying to get the show to work (most shows would have been canceled by now), why can't they just pick a new 15? Or let America pick 4 to let stay and then bring in the right people. Reset. Reboot. Retool. I could respect that they spent 50 million and really hope that the show could make a go of it and get some people who would be willing to try and do something like this. If I didn't have a high schooler and could just up and go, I think that I would try for something like this. But not to be a "reality" star, but to try to be in the experiment. To see if I could really do something like this. Although, I don't think $1,000 a week is enough to up and leave everything though. Do they pay $1,000 a week + PLUS cover personal expenses? I know some shows do it that way, which makes the stipend much more attractive.
  7. Regardless if Louise is lesbian, bisexual, or straight confused, I thought she looked stunning in her ensemble (loved the dress so much) for her first tryst and then she took her hair down, she was just so beautiful. What man or woman wouldn't be attracted to her? Some of the women on this show are so stunning (Eva, Lily). Ruth was prettier when she first came on the show. They had her wearing a lot less makeup and it made her look more her age I suppose.
  8. I have to say that after looking at the links in the media thread, I think that almost nothing on this show is real at all which is probably contributing to why the UTs don't act like any of this really matters or that there are or will be "real" consequences. Too many of them are reality show veterans. I wrote about this before, but they act like "actors". Someone on Jokers floated out some interesting thoughts about Cal and his role there, that I personally think is spot on (i.e., that he is connected to Kroll and is really only there to promote his book and lifestyle).
  9. I have to say I have given these guys zero tolerance regarding the animal treatment, but at least he tried and tried to do the right thing here and had (in my opinion), a somewhat logical reason for why Moo Baby wouldn't eat.
  10. Yeah, you gotta love that production was so worried that the viewing public (all 20 of us and rapidly waning) would get the wrong impression that the food might be tampered with and issued a quick and immediate tweet regarding same. Yet, when confronted continuously about the animal abuse as stated by professionals and a castmate herself, it falls on deaf ears. Where are their f****in priorities? Why one and not the other? They are both serious. Hippykid and his minion can die in a fire. I will NEVER watch another show that he is involved with.
  11. Kobo Duram, gotcha. My hopes are dashed of getting even with production & Bri for their animal abuse!
  12. I know that we have some attorneys on this forum, I was wondering if if would be hard to quickly trademark that Brichino name and THEN go after them for copyright infringement when they try to use it? Yes, I am that evil after all that Bri has done!
  13. They don't really show much of the cows and their treatment anymore. They mute a lot of info about the cows and vet visits. That was their way of handling the (us) troublemakers whose only concern was proper animal treatment on an entertainment show. They could have done the right thing IF they wanted to. I hope Cal really is as he seems. His real bio seems too good to be true.
  14. I swear to God, when I read this post and AndYourLittledog2's, my head almost exploded! Bri is like that extremely precocious 3 year that is legendary in some families as a terror-hell on wheels. You tell her not to do it, she does it. You tell her again, she back there again and side-eyeing you the whole damn time. You tell her to get off the roof, she is up there trying to jump off the next chance she gets. There is no, NO in her world. No means maybe, which is close to yes, so why not go for it? And keep pushing limits just a tiny bit further. Over and over and over. Like a moth to flame. She just cannot stop. Push, push, push, push. She just keeps pushing because she has learned this valuable experience from life, at some point people give up and give you that inch (she will take a mile) or they just give up and give you your way to make it and you go away. Very sick this one is. I have had students & patients like this and you seriously want to kill them. With thumbtacks of course!
  15. Per Jokers: http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/10/01/fox-pulls-utopia/?hootPostID=1721311fde38964cea96e48a07e32782 DEMOTED!!! hahahahahahahahahah! FOX & production- you deserve this for casting such shit assholes. (i.e., CKC)
  16. I think the vast majority have already forgotten. We have barely a page today in this forum. With all the hiding of the animals, practically no feeds, and the most ridiculous bullying and shifty behaviors, I truly don't know what the hell show these people thought they were coming on. This is NOT the Mole, where those behaviors would have been game play (I guess).
  17. Ultimately, the cows will go somewhere whether it is next month or next year. That is a fact. We cannot change that. Personally, I can't drink milk and only eat eggs that are local 100% free range organic from our local farm store, which I try to support with my purchases. I don't eat chicken as a matter of course, part is due to treatment as well. I try only to eat wild caught fish or grass fed (again local) beef. Personally, I have been 100% vegetarian and then vegan at different points in my life, and those choices were always due to the treatment of the animals in corporate farming. (I read Animal Farm in HS and I just couldn't eat meat/flesh AT ALL for years after that). I would NEVER buy a dog/cat from a pet store as those are just as bad. When I hear or read about the puppy mills, it just kills me. I think a lot of us have learned over the years that animal farming is not a lovely business at all. There are bad and better farms though. However, for myself, my outrage grew out of the fact that this show is supposed to be ENTERTAINMENT and that is where I draw the line. I tuned in for the snark, NOT for what was encountered on the feeds. I never complained when on Survivor they killed a chicken to eat. It never appeared that they were harming the animal. If it happened, if was never shown or rumored on the internet that I ever saw. The chickens getting out on accident and the Survivors running around in a panic and they couldn't catch them was always cause for lots of amusement in my house. Or their inability to snorkle to catch a fish. Or when they caught a fish smaller than 2 inches and their excitement over how good they would eat that night. Great amusement in their ineptitude! Bri is the first person who admitted of her own free will and was seen doing something that I found really disturbing in regard to the animals. For myself, that was the impetus for all of this. I would agree with many of the other posters about the talk of the overt bullying as well. This show is a mess on so many levels. As soon as I feel like the animals are being cared for, or Bri is gone, then I am out. In addition, the comment about Rob, obviously PETA received many, many comments. I never personally complained about Rob, but others may have.
  18. Just wanted to add, THIS, I would have LOVED! "Gold, Jerry, Gold!"
  19. What? What is that dim sound you hear in the background?? That's me, screaming, all the way from NJ. AARRRGGGHHHH!!!! Production can DUMP Bri if they want to! They can fire her. They obviously, don't want to. They have had ample time and notice of threat about castmates and animal abuse. Evidently, they are not at all perturbed about what she has done or the potential for what she may do to herself or others. My hate-o-meter is now on full for production AND Bri, AND Aaron, AND Kristen, AND Mike, AND Rob. Seriously, Bri needs to go and the bullying NEEDS to stop NOW. Perhaps they have seen the twitpics of Bri shooting & handling guns and they are afraid of her too? I really hate this show. I can only pray for cancellation.
  20. Yes, PETA is investigating. http://utopiaupdates.com/utopia-2014-peta-investigating-utopia-for-animal-cruelty/
  21. I had a thought: if their contracts have them employed as "actors" then they are not accountable in the "regular" world, because they have the excuse that they were encouraged/directed to cause trouble. It totally lets them off the hook. Mike can say that production encouraged his "stealing", it was only to cause controversy. he would never do that in real life-he is a lawyer-he knows better! After all, he is "acting" in this scripted "reality" show. The ONLY one who really cannot use that excuse is Bri. No matter how much I hate production, I doubt they told her to hurt the cows or underfeed them. Hell, Moo Baby is the ONLY thing positive about this show right now (and Red-most days). I was thinking about Bri on my long drive into Philly today and based on her threats of "suicide" last pm, I would have to readjust my initial thought about her, I would now say Borderline PD all the way home. She is much too concerned about how others feel about her to be straight up sociopath. I mean, she definitely has certain features, but borderline fits better. It is strongly correlated with abuse (sexual or otherwise), manipulation (baby voices, crying, threats of suicide), push-pull in relationships, emotional lability, consistent unsatisfying relationships, always needing to be in a relationship, neediness to the extreme, often eating DOs and cutting as well. Her utter lack of cleanliness is somewhat jarring. I truly think that speaks to some form of serious abuse. Real sociopaths would not be crying and carrying on the way she has. They generally think that they are so much smarter than everyone, that they won't get caught and continue to do what they want. They are much more smooth. While her utter lack of feelings about harming the animals definitely is sociopathic, I really think that she is BPD. Or I could be completely wrong and she is just a lazy pig with sociopathic tendencies. Oh and yea, no to the Brichinnos!
  22. Gotcha my mistake from reading the feeds. However, the fact that she keeps going there and trys to be involved, is SOOO upsetting. She force fed the calf AFTER she was told not to by Red.
  23. To ZSweetjane This is what was said: Hi L, I have received your email. We had an officer inspect the premises and will do what we can to ensure the health and safety of the animals. They were fine when we inspected. The Humane Society monitors all filming in movie sets and filming locations. If you have the live feed maybe you could send it to us, so we can see what you are seeing and further investigate. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Thank you, ~Karen I wrote this: Hello Karen, There is currently a reality television show being filmed in Santa Clarita, CA, called Utopia. People all across the US have been watching the show and in particular the uncensored live feeds. The live feeds illustrate abject animal cruelty going on at the compound and this situation is starting an internet groundswell of outrage against Fox, the TV show participants and the producers of the show. If you could investigate or put pressure on the producers/Fox to, at the very least, do the right thing for the animals, the viewers would really appreciate it. We don't know what to do to help the animals and the live feeds are showing the cows starving and none of the "Utopians" are willing to learn or help them. The live feed viewers are up in arms about what they are seeing and are starting to organize to get the cruelty stopped. Thank you for anything that you can do. L This is her address Karen Stepp <KStepp@animalcare.lacounty.gov> If anyone has specific video footage, THEN that may help. I don't have any of the video. I actually cannot watch the feeds. I had received an email back from PETA too, but I think that it was more of an automated thing. The ASPCA, was specifically to me.
  24. Yup, I saw that article today too ZSweetJane. I sent it to someone, at Utopia. Probably just got ignored though. Originally (way back in this thread) or the Live Feed thread, I sent emails to all the local TV stations in Santa Clarita, Peta, the ASPCA. I did get a personal response from the person who runs the ASPCA there. If you want her email, I can give it to you as well. The group that the article talked about, they have a Facebook page, maybe we can contact them too? I am not on Facebook though. If we could get a group protesting at the gate, then THAT would help. If I lived close to CA, I would do it, but I am in NJ.
