  1. OMG. That is hilarious. I was a retail store manager, for a very large company, at one point in my life and we had training videos very similar to this. Even the music. The thing that killed me was the 10 WEEK length. These are usually one-offs, as short as possible. And the stand up straight thing. There were funny things about being watched and the cartoon of Gus' eyes. The point about being "respectable" to gain respect was certainly not lost on me. He acts respectable to gain respect the whole time running drugs. Loved it.
  2. I hate Wendy. As a licensed professional (I am one as well), she is making ethical violations everywhere, and she should feel remorse and guilt. As a therapist, she should be debriefing with others. She should know this. I don't feel sorry for her. She used private client information to use against Taylor. That is a straight up violation in my opinion. She is lucky that she doesn't lose her license to practice.
  3. Personally, I think Wendy is violating the code of ethics for her profession. If she follows the APA, there are issues there IMO. Has Wendy NEVER thought that going after Taylor could has her to loss her license to practice is Taylor brings a complaint to the state licensing board?
  4. I think the girl playing Lydia is a great actor.
  5. Can't help but think this is because of GoT and how cool the winter scenes are. After all these years of never doing a Winter, now they do a winter on the North Pole? They have run out of ideas.
  6. I don't understand why they can't fix the roofs of these houses. They built a bridge, they can't fix stuff? Makes no sense.
  7. I so agree with this. There is no end game with the Whisperers. Besides the flesh that they take from the dead would continue to decompose and fall apart. The whole thing is creepy, but makes no logical sense. The thing that I really hated though, was the fact that AMC just completely spoiled these guys before the show even came back. If you saw ANY commercials at all before last night, you saw what would happen. That kind of ruins it for those that have never read the novels. I think they made a huge mistake getting rid of Carl as well. Carl leading the younger crew would have been of interest to me. Judith, not at all.
  8. I just started watching Morning Joe over the last 6 months here and there (I usually watch sports news in the am), anyway, as a new viewer I have been wondering about why Joe and Mika were always broadcasting from somewhere else. Your posts clarifies that for me (I thought it was wedding related at first), but here is my other question, if they are both together in Florida, why don't they appear on the same screen together? I was thinking that she was in one place and he was in another, then that confused me because they just got married, so as a new viewer, I have been totally confused! lol I do like some of the pattern shirts/dresses that Mika wears. Sort of a Diane VonFurstenberg (sp) look.
  9. I am hoping for a Lizzie and Ian pairing, he is such a cutie.
  10. I forget the exact quote, but it was something like, "You fought for me. I will never forget you" That is probably why she couldn't go through with giving him the pills. I have to say I was stunned with how good Tilly looked and the Matt character. They looked so much younger. The make-up people have done a great job.
  11. Unbelievable episode. When he ran over that poor cop, it showed me how dangerous both of those guys really are. Tilly, is only one step removed from these guys. She had not committed any crimes (that we know of), but obviously could, and has (helping with the escape). So looking forward to next week.
  12. One of the best episodes. Like a Season 1 episode. Watching again. Murtaugh is not as grumpy! But still an old coot! lol
  13. The issue with Jesus is similar to how they wasted Morgan's storyline as well. I always wondered about Jesus' ninja like skills when he first met Rick and Daryl and when he broke out of jail and into Rick's house. I assumed they wanted to keep it a mystery and make us wonder. Sometimes it is better NOT to tell. But then they never showed us anything with him and his fighting skills at all. They never developed him at all. Most times he was a lookout or not there for fighting. I thought that was purposeful, but now he is a ninja. When he essentially stayed away from direct confrontation. I really hated that they suddenly focus on a person (that never has been a focus) right before they die. They need to step away from the "Survivor" editing technique. As a side note, I think Morgan is more fleshed out in FTWD. I bet they are working towards the big combining of those shows, but to what end? What does that add?
  14. Since TPTB are dangling mysteries that may never be solved, how about this one? I STILL want to know what that card meant that Tara picked up after she left Oceanside and got separated from Heath. If they could start with THAT one, I would be happy.
  15. Loved this episode. Made me sad when I realized that Claire and Jamie will die (or already are dead). That impacted me more than almost anything else on this show and Roger's reaction to it. Really looking forward to Bree going through-I assume she must be able to. Maybe Roger can go too.
  16. One of my hands down favorite Gospel songs, Change. They did a great job with it, but no one beats Tramaine Hawkins for me. She BLOWS on that song. She does a 20 minute medley, with that song towards the end. Amazing. I did love hearing it on this show.
  17. Totally almost threw up on my desk when Mickey drank his tobacco & water concoction. I kept looking away and then when I though it was safe, I would look back, and Mickey is still slurping away. My stomach rolled several times. Gotta give it to Jon Voight, he has no qualms about looking like a horrible person. He embraces it totally.
  18. MMV but I think he looks like Glen.
  19. Did they HAVE to put a Glenn look alike with Maggie? Gee. Since the show spoiled the thing with Rick anyway, the show is like an homage to him these last few episodes anyway.
  20. What the hell, they kill off Carl to introduce all these new characters? SMH
  21. Man, Oxycodoned Charity is one of the most hilarious things I have seen on my TV this year. It is great that they are showing her to be more dimensional. Her depiction of a slipping "addict" (for lack of a more accurate word for her condition) was great. I loved the looks that the family members were giving her (and when she attacked the vending machine-gold Jerry, GOLD!), yet they just poo poo it. See Charity is always given the benefit of the doubt, because she would never do something like that. This is a good character development for her. I agree the loss of the baby and marriage and jumping into a new relationship has taken its toll on her. As a mom of a 20 year old young lady, I cried when Grace found out about her daughter. I couldn't imagine having to tell my daughter that. (not that you can't have a baby in other ways, it is just a shock that something so precious has been taken away in a snap of a finger).
  22. I will preface this by saying that I have counselor training: I disagree. What Mike experienced in group is appropriate. At least it would be in my group. Mike is NOT over grieving. But his explosion was necessary. You will have people in groups that will buck against the process. Because it is similar to what Stacey said. Some people torture themselves if they suddenly realize that they have started to move on or to forget that person, even for one minute. I would not have kicked Mike out of the group. The fact that people are saying that survivors grieve differently, Mike's outburst is part of his grieving. We need to acknowledge that. Is what he did pleasant? No. But this kind of stuff happens in groups. Just because Mike is stoic and quiet, but that does not mean that he is past it. He will never stop grieving and torturing himself. I would agree with a previous poster who said that Mike is getting into a dangerous element as a death wish. I think he wants to punish himself for what happened. As I watched the show, one sentence came to mind: Everyone is doing something that they hate. I think that Kim realized that her long years of working towards being a high paid corporate lawyer is not what she thought it would be. That is crushing and scary. I had a similar situation in my life. I pursued a high level degree for over 10+ years. Then when things finally worked out, I didn't think I wanted to do that "thing" anymore! I started to hate it. It happens. We change or get burnt out.
  23. Pepsinger is correct, but that also depends on the facility. I would agree that isolating oneself is likely to slow discharge. Going to groups, participating, is a sign of improvement. Our unit had no locking doors, except to the outside and the staff room and med room. The patients could close their doors, but they did not lock. Some facilities may lock a patient's room, but that depends on the type of facility. A criminal psychiatric facility may have patients in individual rooms that lock at night or have cameras (we didn't have cameras in the rooms), but it also depends on whether the unit is a more voluntary type (like we might be seeing with Camille), or a long-term non-voluntary hospital that has much sicker patients who may have criminal pasts or have committed acts of violence while mentally ill. We often had patients in doubles (we had one triple) and a couple of single rooms for medical reasons. We had males and females in separate rooms too. We had several patients that were in transition (they were transgender), and to avoid HIPPA violating questions with other patients, they had a single room. We had a patient with HIV, or with a tracheotomy, or a special heart pump, so for medical reasons, we may place a patient alone. I think it depends on the facility, and the nature or extent of the severity of the illness. If you look at any of the high-end detox/addiction facilities in Malibu, California, they do things very differently. People get to keep their phones and have visitors, do yoga, get massages, get accupuncture, go swimming in the ocean-MUCH different from my unit. Those places cater to people with money who want a plush place to detox. They may be charging as much as $5,000 a day (or more). Our hospital facility was about $1,200-$1,800 a day, but covered by insurance for most because it was hospital based.
